      @@reubenmanzo2054 if the chaser is not on the board (i.e. has accumulated 0 steps) when the team succeeds on a pushback, the team gets pushed forward 1 additional step instead

    No fucking way did he get that last question in time. They really got 26, they instead got 27 and yet you title it as 28.

      Hmm, it was close, but seems the judges think that it was valid. Sure they got 27 steps before the chaser began their hunt, but that pushback when the chaser was at the starting point pushed the team up one more to 28 steps, hence why the channel in question titled "28 steps".
      Don't forget, if you remember from the UK version of this, there was that one final chase where the chaser won, with 0 seconds remaining and the final part of the answer not said after the 0 second came. That connects with your first sentence, which the chaser had absolutely no time to say the full answer, yet the judges in that case approved his time! The team in that video I linked could've walked away with the money, but that final chase was more controversial because compared to this, the team would be at the mercy of the chaser's fast answering than the other way around. An extra step made the chaser here lost confidence. So there are worse things than what you said here.
