Bol bol WITH the ball has always been good. Thats never been question. His issue has always been effort when the ball ISNT in his hand. Which on this team will be OFTEN. Eubanks is going to set screens, is going to hustle on closeouts everytime, is boxing out with max effort on every board. Bol bol isnt doing that. On a team with KD, booker, and beal, you need THAT. I dont need baby KD on a team that literally already has KD.
I definetly wouldve gotten fired as a GM because i wouldve made bol bol a starter and bet my career on him.

He was definitely a fan favorite when he was here in Orlando. He did the same thing here, bringing a huge spark to the team when he came off the bench. His biggest negative is when he received a hard pass he sometimes couldn't handle it. One too many fumbles and he wasn't inserted into the lineup anymore. I hope he's improved that part of his game. I was sorry to see him go.

Biggest weakness is not knowing how to play team defense, getting lost too much.
At the very least he picks the energy up and should be used as the spark off thr bench . I would just once like to see a lineup of Nurk, KD at the 4, Bol at the 3, Beal and Book, especially since he is looking confident with the 3.
I think his dad instilled that ability not to give up in him. He’s been through a lot of what seems to be rejection. Now it’s his turn I’m happy for him.

I hadn't been watching any Suns games, cause I heard they weren't playing Bol. Last season, the Magic played the role of 'the other team I watched'. I strictly watched to see Bol Bol play (him, and also Terrence Ross). He was genuinely good, Rough around the edges sure, but good.
He fell off a little as the season pressed on, something i noticed for players coming into a lot more playing time. But I thought, no biggy right? He'll be better next season. But then the Magic let him go. It was dis-heartening at first, but at the same time not so much, cause Orlando is Limbo for Big Men.
After that I thought, great! The Suns have signed him, KD could tutor him. Help him get over the hump, like Moses Malone did for Charles Barkley back in the day. Then he didn't get any minutes. Sheesh.
Glad to hear that's finally turned around. Maybe now I'll tune into some games.

You don't have to put him on a wing defensively. You could just have a stout role-man, (preferably with vision) and play a 4 out style offense, but I like Bol as a roller, just not an off ball screener. His catch radius is a seriously scary weapon that moves opposing defenses and makes the game easier for the guards. But also if KD were to set back screens for Bol Bol, he'd probably get a lot of open looks at the 3-pt line bc Bol Bol might take two guys with him. If you then ran dho with anyone that could pick you'd get even more opportunities.

If Bol Bol ever gets some Bball IQ man, that suns team could be tough. Bol Bol being able to block 2-3 shots a game, grab a rebound and take it up the court and spacing the floor for KD, Beal and Book. I just don't see it though hes had so many opportunities to get it and just cant seem to get it.

Honestly, Bol Bol's popularity is based on his father's popularity when he visited. Bol is the underdog as was his father when he shot for 6 or 7 3-pointers. Bol has a long way to go to be fully impact the team. He needs about 60 more pounds to get good. I love the underdog and I love his humility and his play. But let's not say too much about his impact as of yet. Just love to see a good hungry humble player out there for sure.

We all been asking for this. We all been saying let him play so he can develope. Why are we surprised? Everyone is talking about wemby and i think bol could be just as impactful
Let's be real; Wemby and Chet have now shown that Bol can be a very capable player. Too many bad attitudes as to position playing kept him on the bench.
Bol Bol main issue is his inconsistency and lack of work ethic. He doesn’t have the mind set of Chet of Wemby, always pushing forward in order to become the their best version. He could have been unstoppable, but I think his windows opportunity is over.
The window is still open. I'd love to see Bol traded to OKC or San Antonio to back up Chet or Wemby while developing his game beside them.

Its a tough league. There is no room for player development and teams want finished products off the draft. Every team is hoping for LeBron who is championship material from high school. That sucks for Bol. He will just have to earn every minute. Hopefully he doesn't get shipped off to Asia.

No he needs to play 5. He stops bigs, and well. He clogs the paint. You need guards coming to him, under the hoop not the other way around. He clogs the paint for 1-5. You immediately cancel his defensive ability and benefit on the court otherwise. Wemby doesn’t play the 4 because he’s skinny. He’s a massive asset to the team and needs to be the backup 5 to clog the paint and provide an open floor offensively as a threat outside of big 3

I get that he’s raw and needs to build a bit more strength but come on! This kid can be a really good piece given minutes. He’s proven he can be productive in limited minutes on every team he’s played for so far.
