- In this week's VLOG, we go on an extra special antique hunting trip! This was a totally new experience for us too - we went to an auction on a village green. Join us for some exciting antiquing as we wander around the green, explore all the auction wares, participate in the auction, share our wins, and take in the architectural delights of the beautiful Norfolk village of Burnham Market.
And that's not all - we then headed along the coast to Tony Two Sheds to have a good rummage around Tony's reclamation yard. This adventure is packed with antique hunting, auction excitement, and unique antiquing finds.

Thankyou for this trip down memory lane when you turned off the main road I knew were I was having spent many happy holidays in Norfolk Burnham market being a favourite place to go with such lovely shops.we used to stay at the crown in East Rudham must book a trip soon😊

That parasol is awesome!! I used to have smaller ones.. i hung frim my bedroom ceiling.. that little store 😍.. is totally adorable! I love the styling w all the dried fauna.. twigs, florals. 💯% my style. So so good!

Unfortunately I didn’t know it was on and we weren’t far from there.
I was going to check when it’s on again so thank you for info. I love visiting Burnham Market but not been there for a couple of years. I have been to the auction at Swaffham but again that was about a year ago. Yes, the weather has been glorious definitely hunting weather. lol I usually take photos of things I can’t carry around with me. You weren’t sure about your roof tiles matching those in Tony Two Sheds. Perhaps it’s worth taking a photo of your tiles.
I’ve not been to Tony Two Sheds but we are going to a Cley in a couple of weeks time so will definitely be calling in and making it another of our regulars. Loving the videos trips out and renovations.

You take us to some lovely places through beautiful countryside, the outdoor auction was fun the tea and interiors shop gorgious and a great reclamation and antique place. It is so sad though that these villages are now mostly holiday lets and second homes and have been priced out of the market for most people 😊❤
I'm glad you enjoyed it all 😊 I have mixed feelings about holiday homes - they provide jobs, and bring money into the local community + we get to enjoy fabulous pubs, shops and restaurants which we wouldn't have if it wasn't for tourism. Rural counties rely on tourism, but yes, house prices do rise.
Interesting to read your views on holiday lets I must admit I hadn't thought about the businesses they bring to an area which hopefully will keep it going tthrough the winter 😊@@elegantlyknackeredstyle
Yes, the summer months are booming for small businesses and winters are significantly less so.
The parasol was absolutely beautiful. Imagine how much it would cost brand new in some fancy interiors shop! Burnham Market used to be so much better before it became 'Chelsea by the Sea'. I remember it from the late 70's when it was just a village lived in by locals and not a second home destination. Such a shame. You and Mark were so excited by the auction. I am sure there must be lots of this type of auction around the country. I think the one at Swaffham used to be on a Saturday. Tony Two Sheds sounds like some old Cockney rhyming slang (what I don't know). I would think all those wooden drawers might have come out of an old mahogany Victorian linen press. My parents had a couple of these but with wider drawers in the centre portion. Great video as always. Sophie
I must admit, Burnham Market isn't somewhere I visit very often. Just at Christmas really, to see the lights. Yes, Swaffham auction is on a Saturday. I shall have to go. I think the drawer isn't as old as Victorian - they are quite lightweight with ply on the bottom. Even so, they will be perfect for the idea we have.

I would Love if my husband would be so patient and interested in these Shopping Adventures that I So Enjoy... He has gone to Flea Markets and vintage shops with me every so often. But He really likes going to Amish Auctions for vegetables, fruits and eating at small town restaurants especially for fish. Not too bad I guess. I should not even have complained.
I am lucky, we both enjoy the same things (mostly) 😊
