Just a little update: I've just tried ditching fluoridated toothpaste for the fourth time and once more I failed. My teeth were feeling very strong and my health was great too, so I thought it was time to try, but after exactly 3 weeks my teeth became painful, felt soft, they started looking transparent and more yellow, and my gums started getting irritated. Two brushes with my regular fluoride toothpaste and all the pain was gone, my teeth feel very hard and strong again. If you're experiencing tooth pain and cavities, please please please consider that your natural fluoride free toothpaste might be to blame. For some of us, fluoride toothpaste is the only way to have healthy teeth. I know it's not the healthiest thing, but having unhealthy teeth is much unhealthier for your body. All I can say is please keep an open mind! Don't stick to the dogma even if it's hurting your teeth. Think with your own head. Good luck on your own healing journeys!

1:00 ate lots of sugar as a kid. couple years ago i got 6 cavities in one year. first we went vegetarian a few years ago. every woman on mom's side, i has a magnesium absorption issue so calcium got to all the wrong places unchecked by Mg. 3:30 we did paleo which is notoriously low in Mg, whole grain and legumes are primary source of Mg in most diets. so i wasn't getting enough Mg. so my Mg plummeted and due to dairy, calcium was high. the paleo diet gave me hypothyroidism, perhaps due to MG deficit and calcium overload. cold air on teeth was too painful.
5:45 dosing high Mg and spraying Mg on toothbrush to deliver to mouth/gums. 6:10 i stopped flossing which helped. it creates pockets between teeth, within a week of stopping i had no pain. 7:00 i use a rubber gum stimulator instead of flossing. 8:45 plenty of dentists against flossing. 9:05 went back to fluoride toothpaste, a necessary evil, since i reintroduced it, my teeth got stronger, and each time i tried to get off it, i got pain in all my teeth, happened to my sister too.
12:10 soft toothbrush. will never go back to electric toothbrush. and i can use baking soda to whiten teeth. 13:10 took more zinc. 14:15 better food prep to maximize nutrition. 14:50 stay away from refined sugars. avoided limiting my diet aka vegetarian diet, paleo diet, wasn't making me healthier, only when i embraced a variety of foods did it work.

I've also heard that fluoride (in toothpaste) has a numbing effect.
And, using a soft bristled toothbrush is better: gentle on enamel AND gums.
And, after acid foods like lemon or sodas (which soften tooth enamel) immediately rinse your mouth with water then wait about 15 minutes before brushing, this will give your tooth enamel a chance to harden up again.

Mistake number 1 is: letting your dentist use the turbine with their abrasives and ultra heat produced by the high spinning mini grinder to "clean" your teeth instead of hand scraping the tartar away. This dentist process should be stopped because it first cuts the connection or seal between the gum and the teeth, this is why the bleeding at the dentist "cleaning", second it polishes the microscopic surface of the teeth that allows the gum to attach to the teeth and last the heat burns it killing this important live line between gum and teeth and the gum can no longer grip or hold onto anything from each tooth because now it is polished smooth. If this cleaning was done onto the achilles tendon one would no longer be able to stand. The fast spinning and abrasive pastes and heat by your dentist is like having a regular tooth brush and dental paste going over the gum/tooth line millions of times in seconds and way more damaging than regular cold tooth brush cleaning. Such ignorance is that of dentist blaming bad cold brushing as the main reason. Next time you visit your dentist you might want to say what I say no turbine or machine cleaning on my teeth, most likely they would do it anyway because you can't see it and have your mouth open under their rush.

Update: Indeed, the fluoride toothpaste started healing my tooth problems, which is a life saver. I hadn't been on fluoride toothpaste for at least 10 years. Now here's the catch 22: the amount of fluoride in toothpaste is super strong. If I kept it in my mouth for more than 2 minutes, my jaws would start hurting the next day. When I wake up, I can still feel the fluoride on my teeth, a clean feeling. However, I also started finding my mind getting just a bit clouded, and some mind tricks I could do before were not possible anymore.
I did grow up with fluoride toothpaste, not only that, my mother fed me fluoride tablets. I did have great teeth. So there may be a dependency of some sort as you speculated that when you grow up on it, your teeth rely on it. On the other hand, my deteriorating teeth might just have been a consequence of insulin resistance, diabetic problems, neuropathic issues from lack of Thiamine etc, and that the amount of fluoride we ingest is enough to keep the teeth sharp. I might start putting FL toothpaste on with a mouth guard like for teeth whitening, so it doesn't absorb through my gums. My brain is more important.

Thanks for your openness and honesty concerning flossing and fluoride. I've actually damaged my teeth from brushing too hard. I've formed 2 cavities on the lower right side where my gums have receded. The dentist told me that that happened because I'm right handed and that's where most of the pressure is applied when brushing. So because of the (hard) brushing my gums on the right have receded, leaving the tooth crown unprotected and that's where the cavities have formed.

I had the same experience, and my white teeth starting turning kind of bluish-gray. They ached all the time and just felt so weird. It reminded me that teeth are “living.” My doctor said I was low in vitamin D, so I was taking a supplement. I have red hair, and studies have shown redheads process D differently. I also had taken yeast out of my diet, so there went bread! I also barely eat meat because I just don’t like it. I was so sad and went to the dentist. He had no clue and seemed unconcerned. I felt like I looked “poisoned.” I just looked different. I researched if anyone else was having these issues. Someone was and they asked if I had red hair. They said that a person can get too much vitamin D. I stopped taking it and things have improved tremendously. I also quit using fluoride toothpaste and was oil-pulling. I feel that has actually helped, but I am not absolutely positive. I just know that getting off D was the first positive step. I try to get natural sunlight each day for at least 10 minutes. I also have the gum issue, but I think some of that is just the aging process. I will be 56 in a month. Anyway, hope my story can help someone. Instead of visualizing, I pray to God. I am thankful that things have improved for us both.

Regular flossing recommendations are really an Anlgo-American phenomenon. The European Federation of Periodontologists doesn't recommend routine flossing for the general public, because there's insufficient evidence base. They recommend interdental brushes or toothpicks instead. Flossing requires alot of skill to be effective and if you do it improperly, it can damage the gums.
The gum stimulator IS a dentist's tool. I had a dentist use one years ago when I wore braces. It's not commonly used, but it's a relatively safe practice. It's best to soften it a bit under hot water before you use it.

If you are looking to use a natural toothpaste, get one without glycerine. As any toothpastes which contain glycerine coat the surface of teeth and will not allow for any minerals to be absorbed. Also, there are different fluorides. Calcium fluoride is natural, and the other, sodium fluoride, is a toxic by-product of industrial processes. I am still looking for a calcium fluoride toothpaste with minerals added and no glycerine.

    • @Vitalivesfree
      @Vitalivesfree  Před 6 lety

I've always been afraid of glycerin after reading a few books. But the truth is that toothpastes with both no glycerine and with fluoride don't exist. I've nad no problems with glycerin at all, and the opinions whether it actually prevents remineralisation of the teeth differ quite a bit. I personally think that the remineralisation happens from the inside, so glycerin shouldn't prevent it in any way. xx

I learned this from Dr Myhill, have been using it for years and believe me its more relaxing than anything else that I know of.
    "Magnesium by nebuliser
A nebuliser bubbles air through a solution and turns it into a mist which can be inhaled. The lungs have a large absorptive surface (about the size of a tennis court) and so magnesium can easily be absorbed in this way. I now have patients whose levels I have checked before and after nebulisation and so far results consistently show increased levels.
I am using the same magnesium sulphate preparation for nebulisation as for injections. It is a 50% solution, which some people find to be a slight irritant - it may make them sneeze or cough. However, after a few breaths, this settles down (I found it best just to inhale through the mouth and not the nose). There are no theoretical or practical reasons why anyone should get problems such as wheezing while nebulising - indeed, magnesium works well for asthma. In fact, a study in New Zealand of magnesium by nebuliser for the treatment of acute asthma showed this to be a very effective treatment, over and above the effect of standard bronchodilators. If you feel you are getting short of breath during the nebulisation, stop the treatment. Some patients respond as well to magnesium by nebuliser as they do to magnesium by injection.
Initially I suggest using 1gm daily of magnesium sulphate (approx 100mgs of elemental magnesium). Because magnesium sulphate is a salty solution, you may see white crystals appearing in the nebuliser and the tubing but these can be easily washed away. They may block the small hole through which the solution bubbles in the nebuliser, in which case rinse it out. "
Furthermore Vitamin K2 sends calcium to your bones, using the keto diet and Natto beans )high in K2) completely reverse the holes in my teeth.

I am 90% vegan diet most of the time, eggs once in awhile, no meat. I honestly think if people just eat whole foods and eat more like Okinawans (Japan) many people would be healthier. They eat whole fresh foods, carbs in the form of vegetables, rice, etc. and they eat very small portions of fish, meat. For me, any toothpaste with stannous fluoride, instead of the more common sodium fluoride.
I began having terrible gum pain, which I confused wit cavity pain on the left side of my mouth. It would usually happen at night, the pain would come in like a slow tsunami, over the course of about a half hour. I used Clove Oil, an oral analgesic in a tube and, when it got bad, aspirin and Aleve. Pain would be gone in about 1-2 hours. I was too busy and chicken to go to the dentist, although I knew it would worsen.
But, I picked up Paradontax and Crest Gum Detoxify, feeling that it was just a pricier toothpaste that wasn’t going to help me. But, after about 4 days I felt a difference and started looking up WTH was in this stuff. Although I bought a WaterPik also, I’ve only used it a couple of times and I sometimes use Crest Gum Care oral rinse, which can be added to my WaterPik. But, it is the stannous fluoride and brushing twice daily, without falling asleep and bring neglectful that has been a game changer.
The stannous fluoride has the smaller molecules that can get 4mm under the gum line to kill bacteria.
Now, note that one can find toothpastes with stannous fluoride at Dollar Tree and you can find oral rinses for gum health, with the same ingredient as Crest Gum Care there, as well. I also am using medium strength electric tooth brushes, but am switching to soft.
My results over the past month since I started, are than my gum pain is just about non-existent. If teeth and gums can feel strong, mine actually do. This is something I wish I knew a few years ago when I lost a tooth. Perhaps, it would’ve helped or prevented that.
I’ll note that some people don’t like these toothpastes for the taste and slight grit. It also seems to change the taste of the goods I eat so, they’re less tasty. But, I’d rather not be in pain, with a huge dental bill. I still chew on the more unnatural right side and, if I have something cold and sugary, like ice cream or a smoothie, I still get some pain on the left side so, I don’t know if there is either some gum recession or just healing that still needs to be done. I also still know that I should see a dentist as, you can’t buy a dentist in a tube. But, I’d rather go in with healthier, less painful gums.

Switching regular toothpaste with organic virgin coconut oil mixed with drops of peppermint oil worked for me. Within 1.5 - 2 months I noticed a big difference. Teeth felt thicker, harder, stronger and gum recession reversed. Gum line looked A LOT better and I felt more confident with my smile. Weird at first to brush teeth with coconut oil, but you get used to it, and once you see results you prefer it. Spit oil into waste bin when brushing so it doesn't clog your sink pipe. If it's hot where you live store coconut oil in a jar with an air tight lid to avoid any mess. Coconut oil turns into liquid at about 24°C.
I always floss before brushing my teeth to loosen any wedged pieces of food. Kinda gross to brush teeth without flossing first unless each tooth is gapped. Also, eating a clean whole foods diet contributes to the healing.
Amazing how a simple, inexpensive and natural product can do wonders.

Thank you for this video! You said so many things that my own intuition already revealed to me about Fluoride and flossing. My husband has been a lifelong foster and used to have the most beautiful teeth but not anymore, his gums have receded really badly, his teeth are yellowing and he has always had very good oral hygiene but we were Vegans for 4 years, then Vegetarian for 3 yrs and now we eat Wild-caught Fish, Organic poultry one to two times a week ...and I recently incorporated fluoride toothpaste back after 20 years of eliminating it.
My husband did oil pulling for 2yrs w/Coconut oil every day and we began to notice new gum growth but it took a very long time to begin to notice, maybe 6 months but they were growing! It grew in almost a clear color and slowly began to get color after a few weeks and for some reason he stopped and the damage returned. He began again yesterday but my intuition said to try Epsom salt (pure Magnesium) which is what led me to your video.
It really is a science to eating...Living! The more I learn, the more I learn we know very little about about our bodies. Thank you!💕🕊

Low carb really badly effected my thyroid and kidneys. I got kidney stones and my body temperature went way down, I was cold all the time, and I put on weight. I had no idea that a magnesium deficiency could cause dental problems.

Low carb diets can increase your oxalate absorption, and oxalates cause kidney stones. I never had oxalate issues until I went on the Paleo diet.

If you ditch flouride for a toothpaste with glycerin than the glycerin causes cavities not so much the lack of flouride. My favorite toothpaste is uncle harry's toothpaste on amazon.

Thanks for posting this video. I had excessive gum recession from vaping most likely and a friend of mine who lives in Ireland suggested that I try Corsodyl. I decided to go on ebay and order some since you can't buy it in America. 2 weeks later the product arrived and it helped with the big recession and my hygenist told me to keep doing what I am doing. I'm a vegan and against animal testing and I found out that they tested their products on animals so I switched to Natural Dentist bleeding gums mouthwash, Vicco toothpaste (which is good for all types of gum issues) and use their tooth powder. Both Vicco and Natural Dentist are vegan products. You can't get those products in stores where I live so it's Amazon and Ebay. I'm also starting to think maybe it's my diet that is causing the bleeding gums. I still have gum recession and may eventually need grafting done. I had to switch dentist because I found one that accepts Medicade and hopefully they will help treat this gum disease unlike the place here. One of the new hygenists recommended that I get my pockets checked every 3 months just to be safe. I don't know if this is necessary but it is recommended if you vape.

I was in a situation where I did not have access to healthy food, proper toothbrush and fluoride free toothpaste. After forty days, my teeth were so soft they would stick together and my gums were bleeding after eating what crappy food I was given to eat. My teeth strengthened up but my gums have been through hell. The fluoride toothpaste which was all I had access to did not help.I agree about flossing.

I guess it depends on what kind of fluoridated toothpaste it was as well. Most are conventional, highly chemical and irritating toothpastes. That type causes my gums and teeth major problems as well. My winning secret is to use a very natural fluoridated toothpaste for sensitive teeth with no or hardly any flavour. Thank you for sharing! xx

i remember a video about 8 years ago that demonstrated that some people have different microbes in their mouth than others. And some microbes are harmless, some microbes cause tooth decay, and some microbes will actually feed off your gums. Not everyone has these gum eating microbes in their mouth. I wish i could find the video again. But anyway, one way to kill these gum eating microbes is to swish with hydrogen peroxide regularly, or put peroxide in your water pic. i used to swish with peroxide, but then I had exposed dentin spots in teeth, and when the peroxide hit the dentin the shocking sensation was similar to chewing aluminum foil.

    • @Vitalivesfree
      @Vitalivesfree  Před 4 lety

I tried hydrogen peroxide in the past and never liked it. I also don't think it's a good idea to kill off all bacteria, including the good ones.

@See Quinn yes. Baking soda remineralizes teeth because it is a high alkaline substance. When your mouth is alkaline Bacteria cannot live in a alkaline environment. Also teeth can remineralize in a alkaline environment also through your saliva.

I read so much about fluoride toothpaste that is poison to our health but this is the worst nightmare when I visit my dentist due to toothpain. I have 6 tooth decay and one is extremely deeply bad. Hi, I've already watched lots of videos if not hundreds about adopting and maintaining a good oral hygiene and not a single one gave a good and useful information
I used to have braces and I recently knew that they can highly cause gum recession
I used to brush very aggressively like a maniac thinking it would do good to my teeth
now I am experiencing gum recession and I'm very concerned about it (can't even focus on my studies..)
I was consuming loads of sugar (chocolat - soft drinks etc ..)
    so here's the deal :
    - following these steps had your gum recession really stop ? or reversed ?
    - how and when do you brush your teeth ? (I'll insist on how or what's the correct and proper way to do it my dentist told me I had to start from the gum and head to the tooth)
Starting from today I will :
    - Quit flossing (cause it hasn't done to me any good)
    - Take up to 500 mg of Magnesium (which I've never thought of before)
    - By an extra-soft toothbrush
    - eat more healthy and quit all sugar-added food
I'll really appreciate if you reply because I'm very worried about my dental and gum health even though I clean and brush all the time .. and the thing that annoys me the most is that dentists can't agree on one TO DO AND NOT TO DO LIST ...
Thanks a looot I really enjoyed your video
waiting for a reply otherwise "save my teeth please!" ^^

My gum recession stopped and in some cases reversed. Haven't had any more problems for quite a while now. I brush my teeth after breakfast and before bed. I rinse my mouth after any other meals, but I don't brush my teeth. Excessive brushing is really bad for your gums and teeth. I start from the roots down towards the rest of the tooth, just like your dentist said, with very small controlled movements and with very little pressure. I focus on each tooth one by one. Hope this helps! Also look into your thyroid health. My gums got so weak because of low thyroid and hypothyroidism is very well known to cause gum recession and tooth decay. xx

ADD TO DIET=super blue green algae + probiotics. pink/brown salt to re-mineralize whole body [white salt is poisen] silica, cod liver oil, FULVIC ACID ''shilajit'' auravedic mineral soil. if unavailable, swish +/or drink ALFALFA/PARSELEY tea to re-mineralize mouth.

Denise McDonald hi Denise. I had a abscess years ago and since then am very watchful of any of the symptoms I had when I developed the abscess. If I feel anything, I start to swish with colloidal silver morning and night until the feeling goes away. I also take a tsp everyday for about 7 days or until the feeling goes away. It's a strong antibiotic. I would also suggest ginger tea, made from fresh peeled ginger. You can drink and swish with it. Those are just a few things I do. As always, do your research but the silver truly helped me! I hope that helps and bright blessings to you🌱🙏🏾

I used to have gum problem too😂😂😂 I did more or less of what she recommended, on top of that, I also masagge the gums from outside of of face, ie, on the skin that is directly opposite to the gum. The point is to find painful spots on tje gum. If I found some, then I put on more forces to press on it. Aftera few days, the spots are no longer painful, the gum looks better from the inside.

You can check potassium with a blood test. For magnesium you need to test red blood cell (RBC) magnesium levels - it's the most accurate way. Or do a hair mineral analysis test.
