1kg All Purpose flour
1 cup Sugar
300g Unsalted Butter
2 tsp Salt
2 tsp Baking powder
2 tsp Nutmeg powder
4 eggs
1 and half cups full cream Milk
1 tsp each vanilla and pineapple flavor

Thank you! You can use margarine instead of butter but the texture and taste will not be the same. You know margarine is made up of vegetable oil, but butter is made up of cream, fat, water and milk. Just so you know what to expect.

Hi I love the taste of these rockbuns but I did notice that the baked endproduct had little pockets if flour. Whilst the buns were super yummy the little flour balls are a put-off. What did I do wrong?

You probably did not sift your flour. In any baked goods, you have to sift the flour very well to prevent having pockets in the finished product. That’s a big turnoff for me too. Soft everything powdery with baking and you’ll love it. Even the whole texture will be airier.

@AkuDede I tried once more just this arvo. Instead of doing a quick mix I took a little longer to mix it thoroughly and it was much much better, Akudede. Wish I could send you a pic of my baked RockBuns.

You can, but the taste will be different. Margarine contains oil and salt and the texture may also be different but it may be nice. Try it and tell us how it goes. Cheers
