Yeah, felt like he was directly addressing us. He knows people are tired of waiting and he knows people will think the June direct might have the reveal so he is curbing the disappointment by basically straight up telling us to wait until fall/later this year. March 2025 still seems very likely for launch.
He knows the impatient and entitled people are tired but he didn’t do it for them he did it because he knew he had to, he did it for the true Nintendo fans that have been patient like me I’ve not been stressed out over something that didn’t officially exist to me until yesterday.
Yeah the first thing i thought about when i heard him mention a Direct in June was, "Confirming that a month in advance? When has that ever happened?"

While I have nothing in particular against Nate, I think Nintendo Prime does not so much do journalism than reporting. I don't see many original stories and journalistic investigation done by going straight to the sources on this channel. They mostly report on stories that other people have brought forward and collects them into one place. Channels like this are still important in their own right because most people can't be checking out all of the different sources costantly, so it's great that there's channels like this doing the work for us and keeping up with all of these stories.
I'll believe the switch 2 launching next March when Nintendo officially drops the prices for their current switch consoles already on the market first.
Why not phase out in at the same price

I think March 2025 is a good release date for the new Switch since March 3rd, 2025 will be the 8th anniversary of the 1st Switch console.

I already assumed the June Direct would be filled with remasters/remakes/ports. However, I have my fingers crossed that this one has Metroid Prime 4. Could it finally be time?
So if June is the final Switch Direct, that means a couple of things: No September Direct or a September Direct that contains Switch 2 games. Then that would mean the Switch 2 would be revealed sometime between now and September.

The Switch is my favorite console of all time, but the Steam Deck saved gaming for me in the past couple of months. We need something new from the big N, and I can't wait.

Speak for yourself about the steam deck I think it’s ice overrated and a device for me. The Nintendo Switch truly saved gaming and I still enjoy my switch and I have bought all of Nintendo’s first party games for it this year and I’ve enjoyed all of them. The future is bright the Nintendo. And if you were truly a Nintendo switch fan you wouldn’t buy its competition because you’re entitled and spoiled and impatient. A true Nintendo fan remains patient. The current switch still has life left in it even after its successor is launched in my opinion, a true Nintendo fan would never turn down paper Mario the thousand year door over, device like the steam deck that Chen hold 60 FPS consistently either I’m not impressed with the steam deck but I’m impressed with the Nintendo Switch Nintendo will always impress me.

@@sourgummyworms45 what's here not to understand? There hasn't been a game on the Switch I'm interested in for months at this point. Meanwhile I've played through games like RE2, RE7, Days Gone etc. on my Deck. The Switch is long past its prime, it shouldn't be a problem acknowledging that.

I think it’s great Nintendo has actually done this and beaten the leakers to the punch but I think Nintendo was always going to reveal that there will be a successor to the current switch at this earnings school and I think a lot of uncertainty and anxiety that many people felt will be gone now. I think it makes sense that the switch successor will be a switch like device especially with how successful the current switch has been. There’s only two things I want from the successor to the current twitch to be significantly more powerful and to be backwards compatible that’s all I ask.

Nintendo confirmed a reveal by March 2025.. NOT a release. You will be disappointed if you expect a successor launch by March 2025. I’m thinking the launch will be from mid-late 2025.

They said Metroid Prime 4 was coming... almost 7 years ago. All this time and still nothing. They said a couple years ago that development "restarted" but that just sounds like an excuse. I dunno how credible they are.
