My spouse worked on this movie set in Toronto. He said both stars were very professional and a pleasure to work with.
I had famous people at the store I worked at in Miami. They really love being treated as normal, I never invaded their personal space asking for photos, they also deserved to be respected when they are spending time with their relatives. I had one that really left me in shock (I won’t say his name) saw him three times and all those times he was so drunk and the alcohol just stunk coming from his pores. His ex wife is also famous (a famous journalist) completely the opposite of him.

@@Ace-ke7fq let me clear you something they weren't divorced yet. That's what I'm trying to tell, you don't have to keep him around her house, if she didn't like him. I know she did that on courtesy.. but that doesn't mean to punish your husband like that.. either she could have divorced him and had him in the house or she could have not have him around the house. it was very ill behaved and not to mention she even had sex inorder for him to hear , that was over the top.

Platonic love for Eric, being married to him and the father of her children whom she dearly love. Romantic love for Art , which she never felt from her husband quite a long time and Art is a good man. A strange set up but there was love and understanding among the 3 of them

The quality of acting in this movie makes the situation almost believable 🤗
I enjoyed this movie. I respect how she stepped up to care for someone, after she had left him. Wow!!! Although the immorality of the situation is against all that I believe in, my heart went out to each of the three main characters. For me, it speaks to how we just need to love, pray for, and show mercy to others. We see what we see. However, unless you truly know what it's like to walk in someone else's shoes, just pray and let God work out the details. Our job is to speak the truth, of course, but mostly just to show love.

the husband must have felt the pains to watch your wife with someone but he accepted the situation and it worked to his favor and he was well cared for by the other guy... he was blessed to have 2 people loved him so much ...one of the most moving movie iv seen in a longtime .. hope to see more like this.. unique theme.. touching in every way

Interesting movie! It is true, based on my experience how we usually blame women for happiness, for unhappiness and everything in between life events in a family. I found this story familiar. The daughter only thinks about other people's opinions, she doesn´t care about her mother. The mother is very authentic. Really a good movie, Thank you

Great plot and acting! As odd as this was, I remember reading a similar story shared by a woman in a caregiver support group. The only difference was her daughters were still small and they came to love her boyfriend. They also saw the difference between how treated her and how their abusive father treated her.
Unusual story line! It has some similarities to my sister, her 1st husband, and her 2nd husband, and my disabled nephews' situation up until 2020.
The only thing I would do differently, is divorce the husband, and marry the other man. Let the kids grow up and realize that both their parents are individuals that deserve their own happiness!
Really nice movie. I like how it shows that life can be complicated, messy, but with kindness and bravery you can work to make it good.

This movie is an excellent film! I really loved watching it. The storyline is absolutely heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time.
This is a great movie, for her husband I feel karma can suck, I admire her choice to take care of him, I also admire her choice to take care of herself.
It's so real and sought after. Everybody says you have a life commitment with your spouse but what if he/she feasts at your decency?
Find out the reason why they do it. ASK THEM. KEEP ON ASKING THEM AND TALK ABOUT AND DONT GET ANGRY WITH YOURSELF. OR THEM ....THEN YOU LOOSE THE TRUST. JUST KEEP OPEN THE DIALOGUE.

This is really amazing, for 23 years she had the worse husband ever, then she found the best lover she could have dreamed of. Those selfish kids of hers, I don't hear the kids saying they going to give their life to take care of their father's, Their mother are happy while taking the best care of their father. Those kids aren't selfish. They're just that kids. They are hurt. When they mature and grow up and if the mother decides to share what she and their father went thru I guarantee then they'll understand. But I feel like slightly the mom was selfish because it seemed like she didn't care how they felt or took it. Even though I feel like she was a tad selfish, I understand it. Because, for once if ever, she put herself first instead of everyone else & I think that's what they don't get nor like. But Like I said with time, maturity and growth and some explanation they'll get it.

After watching this movie I realized why she loved her boyfriend and why she always loved her husband. Her boyfriend was a really good man with a heart of gold and her husband although reckless with short comings at times was also very good man with a wide sense of humor. It’s the nicest thing for Lisa and and Art to take Eric out for the plain ride and for Art to take him out to the bar because had a zest for life. This movie is one of my favorites.

I have seen the movie two times. Husband is arrogant, has no moral and do not deserve his wife's help. Some people just think they can do what ever pleases them and all will be forgiven and forgotten. Children are selfish but for them it's still their dad. The movie has made me sad for the wife and her waisted years. That is great film and acting is very good .
After my separation with my ex partner, she was diagnosed with life threatening issues. I choose to step up and take care of her. Puts a lump in my throat, good movie.

@Frances …the wife in this film played a self effacing role as victimizer. Katherine is absolutely correct. The husband was abusive, manipulative, a thief, adulterer and liar. She had not gone to college and felt worthless. However she did not see the inner strength, intelligence and resolve that was in her person. She put him first and allowed herself to be emotionally and mentally abused. Her children were following in their father’s footsteps. Thank God for the man who looked into her soul and saw the wonderful person that she was.

I remember watching this movie when it first premiered on CBS. I remember watching it with my parents. The storyline of the film mirrored what was going on in their marriage, minus the affair. At that time. The next day speaking to them individually, they both commented on the irony. Wonderful film.

this is one of the best life time movies i've ever seen - i found myself laughing uncontrollably at many of the most awkward scenes between these characters, to the point tears rolled down my cheeks, but also it has real feelings, heart and tragedy. Judith light is really magnetic but the two male leads are perfect too. Love the dad from boy meets world.

Frankly speaking ,it is hard to digest the kind of arrangement the woman has to survive in life ..Is the woman so fragile and unprotected in the world that she may be forced to keep herself in such position??. If she was doing all this for betterment of her hubby ,what is the final outcome ?? Kids avoid meeting her and stay or doing lunch or dinning with her?? Do you think that life is complete at the decaying age when you need the aid , support and care of your kids and hubby ...

Her husband had them in dire straits with his gambling and oweing money plus pile on hospital bills with that , not good !!! With her baking , her friend gave her the idea that selling her baked goods would be a great help . That's their mistake first it was her personal and the other lady had no ID they shouldn't of pass it they gave to reimburse that money to her at a bank
My friends mother was robbed of her life savings by members of her church. The bank had all kinds of excuses. While we put a stop to it after the fact, the damage had been done. Since it wasn't ID theft, just undue influence, we were left with few options. I think that someone should have alerted her family. Not all banks are honest. A different bank manager where she kept her checking account was the one who alerted us after she bounced a rent check. That sweet old lady could have ended up getting evicted because of unscrupulous people.

My ex (of almost 18 yrs by time I left him), had a heart attack, open heart surgery - Widowmaker. Just as I was planning to leave him. He was a cheat, spent his money on women. I decided to stay, nurse him back to health whilst taking over everything 100%. It was tough, but I managed. It took him over a yr to get back to himself. I stayed another few yrs before leaving! If only my story could've been like this. Except, it would've been his gf moving in. Lol

This was a good movie. I just absolutely love Judith Light. She is such an amazing actress. I’ve been divorced for nearly 6 years, but I’d still take care of my ex if needed, we have 3 kids and I will always be grateful for the 13.5 wonderful years we had together.
It appears you had a good relationship- a lot of people are not that lucky. When one of them is manipulative and lacks empathy, the other has no option apart from moving on and forget about their existence.

When the husband was fussing about Art moving in and he tried to kill himself. Art taking him to the bar for drinks, that was a funny moment 😂😂
It is an uncomfortable affair. Its frustrating how she let her husband continue to bully her by not admitting their relationship was over to her kids and the many reasons why. Its amazing how much insult and pain a mother will take for her kids including trying to protect them from the ugliness/mess of their father. In this movie she only speaks in actions not in explanations. She wont let Art go. Without the background it must be so confusing for the kids and every other person (setting herself up to be exposed to such 'unjust' judgement). Such deep love on such a rich level, at much cost. And yes leading to an uncomfortable affair.

Very "valorous" of the kids to dump all care of their father's on their mother and then judge the mother for what she does to survive. Only a caregiver can understand the extent of care one needs after a stroke. Spoiled brats' duty was to support their mother, come on the weekends, and care for the father to give their mother a break. The kids were egoistic takers.
@@definitelymaybe97 Unfortunately their devotion was learned from the mom. The mom should have left long ago. She taught the kids to not respect her unfortunately. Actually, she should never have married him. She admitted to all of the red flags before they got hitched. He's a POS, they knew it, but remained faithful to him, just like she did. Very unhealthy.
Strange how this happens in real life. Happened to me..... except the love of my life went with the Lord! An awesome man who helped my family so very much. I'm lost without him.
