god, you are what i wanted to be when i grew up at the age of 12. This is fricking epic
Haha thanks man appreciate it
@@DuckBricks yeah, still what i want to ngl
Same I love to a i Kia and the old classics
Same
Man I thought my collection was big. I still have about half of them, but still have a lot to go!! Hopefully I can get find them all especially the rare ones like the Rahi from 2001-2 and Irnnak.
Shelf: has a few inches of breathing room.
DuckBricks: as you can see, there's a massive gap in this shelf here-
Haha this is so accurate
So this is what an entire Bionicle collection looks like!
"That's a lot of legos, guy I've never heard of, I'll watch your video"
"That really is a lot of legos"
"WAIT WAIT ARE THOSE THE DARK HUNTERS? AND YOU SAID YOU'RE REVIEWING THEM? Subscribed"
Haha thanks! Hope you enjoy; I’ve reviewed dozens already which you can check out on the Bionicle Fanon Reviews playlist!
If you ever walk into an elementary school, you'll instantly be a god amongst men. Trust 10 year old me.
Haha I believe it 😂
very true
Oh my gosh, how do you keep them clean? :D My collection is a lot more modest and I feel like I'm constantly fighting with dust :D
Haha thankfully down in my basement there’s little to no vents or open windows so I’ve never actually had to dust anything; just got super lucky I guess
Very nice update to the collection. I look forward to seeing the canonized fan model reviews and seeing Vahki6’s Rahkshi mocs translated into reality.
Thanks for commenting! The reviews are cranking out once a week!
Thank you for building the beautiful Rahkshi Combiner 1, he gets a lot of flack, but he is one of the greatest combiner models of g1 imo.
Ayy glad to see some appreciation for it; it’s so cool!
In Indonesia bionicle are really expensive if u want one of them you must give the cashier at least 100$
i want to see a gigantic lego museum as organized and complete as your collection
That’s the eventual goal!
The sacred collection, finally reveled.
Haha indeed
I’ve started collecting hot wheels over the last year or so and recently have been starting with some lego figures and smaller displays. One thing im starting to worry is if worst case a fire or some weather disaster, i have no idea what id do. I dont want to stop collecting but that fear has made me come to a full halt with my collections :/
My favorite part was 6:42-7:15 . I remember buying the bionicle beast build competition book with the green beast on the front, spiny stone ape, tarantula, and a beautiful symmetrical scorpion
duckbricks is why buying bionicles is so expensive. LEAVE SOME FOR THE REST OF US!
lol
Haha maybe check out Bricklink? A lot of the canister sets aren’t too bad there
Im getting emotional... My cold.. Dead heart.. It pumps again, if only momentarily, at the sight of such wonderful Bionicle...
Haha thanks for the kind words glad you enjoyed
this video sparks my nostalgia
Glad you enjoyed!
My mans playing gravity hurts as the back ground music😍 a true fan I didnt even listen to the rest of the video but the music is such a nostalgia trip this is awesome, and when i move out in definitely making some shelves like these in my basement for legos only
Ayy thanks glad you enjoyed!
4:99
"Miscellaneous characters"
Thats funny!
Will you show the rest of your collection? It's one of the best I've seen.
I definitely will! I have a ton of older videos I’ve put out showcasing certain aspects of it and will definitely get around to a massive video showing off all of it - perhaps after I obtain all the 2021 sets haha
Man, I used to have all of these Bionicles. I could not imagine them laid out like that. I kept mine in boxes
Nice! Yeah it’s certainly been a long road to display all of them relatively neatly haha
Wow, insane collection, love it!! Especially the Bionicles, thank you for sharing! 😁
Thanks so much for watching!
@@DuckBricks As much as I love it, how you afforded this stuff is another question. (Granted people have asked me the same thing).
Haha yeah, it’s a combo of some side businesses, startups, extra work, and really supportive friends and family
Ah K well it was certainly something to see. I'm really into bionicle but I got into it back in 08 so most of my collection is bricklink or ebay. Never had the chance to experience the toa mata on store shelves was a toddler at the time.
You should build a LEGO city because you have so many buildings
That’s an excellent idea! Maybe with the new 2021 road system...
You’re casually living my dream
How about using a few spaces for BIONICLE collectibles, like Kanohi masks, Kraata, Kraata-Kal, Krana, Krana-Kal etc.?
That’s a good idea! I currently have all of those up on my walls right now, but maybe relocating them to my Bionicle collection would be good!
Wow soo cool!
Thank you!
Such an impressive collection! Be proud! Do you have the Botar (Brutaka + Axonn combiner)? I don’t think I saw it.
Thanks! He’s there but crouched down a ton to fit on the shelf haha, he’s also probably situated behind some of the others which is why you may have missed him
@@DuckBricks ahah gotta rewatch the video! Found him! Oh no your Ehlek is missing one blue eye!
And now newly subscribed :-)
This was my dream room when I was 12
6:37 I think I saw most of those models in certain Bionicle books like "Rahi Beasts" or "Dark Hunters"
Yup, that’s where they’re all from!
@@DuckBricks were there like instructions for the models by the original creators online or did you figured it out how they were built and what Bionicle parts were used?
Hey, I can't help but wonder - how do you finance your hobby? I mean, what kind of job do you have? Unless it's a secret of course
It’s a mix of a ton of startups and side jobs plus really supportive friends and family who often gift me with their old collections after outgrowing them
@@DuckBricks dang, that's pretty cool! btw, do you plan on building all the different matoran in the future? as in such matoran as kapura, tamaru etc . Or is that out of the scope of your collection?
Funny you mention that; I have actually been hard at work trying to learn resin casting to be able to produce high quality resin casts of the original Tohunga limbs and bodies, 03 Matoran bodies, and 01 masks to be able to do just this - it’s been a little rough so far, but I’ve been working at it!
@@DuckBricks This sounds amazing! Any chance you might post some pictures of your progress so far? Btw, how would these resin casts work exactly - as in, will you be able to 3d print them?
I definitely will be making a video on it once I manage to make at a minimum one successful mold lol, it’s actually a lot simpler than 3D printing - just taking original parts, making rubber molds, and pouring colored resin in and letting it sit for a few days
Dude your a God, i just wanted a few Bionicles for posterity. This is soooo good.
Haha thanks, appreciate it!
I’m 19 and recognize that music from bionicle heroes oh my lord the memories..... piraka beach lol
Haha nice glad someone recognizes it
@@DuckBricks oh man that made me instasub - freaking loved that game and I still love the OST (especially Avak's stuff like Dynamo) so much. Awesome collection as well!
Bro it’s so cool you know all the names for the bioncles and legos u should get into animation design
Thanks! And yeah, that’s a really interesting field I’d love to learn more about!
The bionicles are fearse warriors, every single of them protecting his virginity.
You got more custom rahkshi than I got myself ahaha
It's great to see them, I can't wait to see more !
Haha thanks and more are on the way; I’ve printed every single file you sent me and now just perfecting resin’
Amazing bionicle collection!
I had over half of these as a kid and apparently stopped buying after 2009.
I miss my toa and rakshi. I have always wondered who else had the dinosaurs/dragons!
I was typing this and was asking where your combiner models were and then you shown them lol
Thank you for all the knowledge with time line!
20th Anniversary of Bionicle (2001-2021)
My God seen all this I'm just absolutely astonished and if I ever saw all of this in person I would faint. You are truly a Lego god.
Haha thanks man appreciate it
I thought, maybe you could install cold-temp lights in the shelves to better show the ones way in the back?
That’s a great idea - I’ll have to do that sometime
The 2007 sets were my child hood
Nice! Those are some fantastic sets
Robo riders and throw bots, what a blast from the past
Man if I robbed your house I would just rob all your bionicles and Star Wars big figures I wouldn’t even touch your money XD
That’s a really big collection
Thanks!
My life goal is to one day walk into a room like this
dang son thats a lot uv lego a need to collect and sum how im starting to collect star wars toy.
When will you sell tickets to see your museum in person?
Haha maybe in a few years when I actually have a space to own
Waiting for a vod about rest Toa Hagah
Same here lol, it’s just a matter of TTV restarting the canon contests which I think they said will happen in a few months
How… do you clean all this and the spaces they sit in?????????
Thankfully I don’t get too much dust at all down in my basement, so I typically don’t really have to clean things except maybe once every few years!
Very nice!
Thanks!
I thought a little , and i think that you can show all lego original action figures (Bio G1/G2 , Throwbots , HF , Chima , Knights Kingdom ) in 1 video , it would be crazy , nobody didnt such things before ) And collectible + fanon models too
I do have all of them so that’s a great idea, maybe once I finish building and reviewing every canon model!
@@DuckBricks im glad to hear it
Does bionicle g1 still available?
Because i really, realy miss them that i wanna buy more.
You can pick up a ton of sets pretty cheap on Bricklink!
Really? Thank you very much
Best of luck! If you need some tips, I put out a price optimization video that explains how to use Bricklink here: czcams.com/video/PGBgZPBkOrY/video.html
Looking at this makes me wanna buy lego
Wow! One heck of a collection! Also, the addition of the combiner models is quite impressive!
Thank you, appreciate it!
Where do you get the money for all of this?
Mostly a combo of super supportive friends and family plus some side businesses and startups lol; I go into some detail as to how I amassed a collection like this in this video: czcams.com/video/6rtpkzi2OZw/video.html
Man, seeing this collection of bionicle, I bet you got some second/third hand. (No offense of course, not saying you didn't get them at release which makes this even more admirable) And I was wondering if it is the case, if you could recommend any set or multiple sets I could get from G1? (Budget: 40€)
Oh yeah haha, funnily enough, despite my first Bionicle set being a McToran I got via McDonalds, I never actually got into the theme until 2009, at which point I was able to get all the 08 sets and most of 07 from local toy stores, but had to bricklink/buy secondhand literally all the other sets, which was a momentous task which took a ton of time
@@DuckBricks Hey, that's still alright, I found out about Bionicle in 2010. And got only Gresh and Piraka star. xd
But yeah, so any good sets I should get with my budget?
Ah yes! I think it depends on what you are looking to get - quantity or quality? You can get a ton of smaller Bionicle sets and even original Toa Mata/Nuva with $40, or you could use it towards just one large Titan set like, say, Hydraxon. Maybe, if you wanted to get a taste of the theme, I’d suggest picking your favorite Toa Mata, which are incredibly cheap on BL, and go from there?
@@DuckBricks I actually already gotten taste of the theme, I have rebuilded Vakam from 04 from pieces I sorted that once belonged to my older sister. So I would say I want to look for quality, the best bang for the buck.
Gotcha - in that case, I’d say go for a Titan - lemme check the prices rn
I’m only 15 but an avid lego collector and I’ve just got about 25 bionicle figures in a lot and I was wondering what the best way to figure out what the heck is going on with bionicle, mainly what the story is.
Awesome! The best way to get started is to play the Mata Nui Online Game, which you can download from a website called BioMedia Project which hosts all the Bionicle media. It’s a perfect introduction to the story, and it’s how all of us original fans were introduced to the story as well. From there, I’d recommend reading the chapter books, which tell the main story, and watching the four movies in order with the books. The best Bionicle wiki/information site is a place called Biosector01, which has “getting started” lore and story guides and has all the information you’d ever want to know about Bionicle in one place, albeit very overwhelming for new fans. Finally, I’m working on a TLDR/getting started with Bionicle story video coming out in the near future, so I’d recommend you sticking around to check that out if interested haha
You didnt show us Bionicle G2 , and you can create other tohungas , there about 40 of them
Good point! I’ll have to do an update video haha; was focusing on official sets and combo models for this but def wanna make more Tohunga
Wish they made G2 makuta, in both mask maker and titan variants
Same, at least we do have instructions and I have built both of those from there
Damn a sand tarakava
Just a custom one haha, parts are thankfully pretty cheap
This is millions and millions of dollars put into brick form.
Millions? Really? Maybe a few tens of thousands but not millions
That bioncle collection is glorious
Thanks!
Oboetwoshoes would be impressed
where do you get monkie king
I got all the Monkie Kid sets from my local LEGO Retail store and LEGO.com as they are retailer exclusives!
Do you have Tuma? I didn't see him.
He’s there alongside the 09 Titan section, just pretty tucked away haha
How can you remember the bionicles names :o
is ehlek missing an eye?
Yes, I notice that now haha, he’s fixed now :)
Do you buy all these used? If not, where do you keep all the boxes from these sets? I assume/hope you don't throw them all out XD
So a lot of these I bought when they came out as I’ve been a fan for a while, but for the really old ones/ones I missed, I typically buy them used and have separate rooms in my house to store their canisters haha
I don’t want to think about when a earthquake happens
you dont have the portal 2 shell figure from lego dimensions :C
Haha I actually do but there’s a good chance it may have fallen off of the shelf if you didn’t see it :)
Is Ehlek stil missing one eye ?
may i ask what toys(or category or group(noob question)) in the back or the big one in 9:00 ?
i have a toy given to me when i was a child that looks exactly like the green one
its been bothering me for day now
No problem! Those are the Glatorian sets released in 2009/2010. The green one you own is likely Gresh or Vastus, unless it’s one of the smaller Agori sets like Tarduk. Hope this helps!
@@DuckBricks thank you 😅😅😆 its gresh i just google it,hahahahahaha after after days of searching i finally know it
Thanks again
I just realised ehlek is missing a eye.
How much would you estimate that this cost you?
This is a Nightmare, because it shows what I wish to possess.
I looked that vakhi6 made cool toa hagah too
That so many if i have that all the toys I will play that
Whats a good lego set over 1000 pieces
oh no, ehlek is missing one eye! >.
Oh dear! Just noticed that haha; must have been knocked off during reorganization
@@DuckBricks only the most eagle-eyed audience members caught that^^
12:21 ehlek missing an eye
Where do U get them I can’t find a any old bionicles anymore
Bricklink is your friend!
@@DuckBricks ok thx I was thinking that
watch your head!
How does he have so much LEGO
where the heck do u get those old sets, i want to get old sets to but there so expensive, so where did u get them?!?!?!
Bricklink is your friend!
@@DuckBricks thx :) and i have two questions
1. Which is the best way to put stickers bc i have had trouble still with putting them.
2. Can u get scammed on Bricklink, i just want to know bc now that i know that i can order old sets for a decent price, i`m planning on trying to get all Hero factory sets, i already have all invasion from below and brain attack from when i was a child.
1 - personally I just use my hands, but I’ve seen people use brick separators to line them up to great success!
2 - the great thing about Bricklink is that everything is via PayPal goods and services. So in the very rare occasion that you do get scammed, just file a PayPal complaint and you’ll get your money back. Over my many years of ordering on Bricklink, it’s only happened like twice out of hundreds if not thousands of orders, and both times PayPal gave me a speedy refund
@@DuckBricks thx :)
@@DuckBricks R.I.P
i looked at the three that i planned to buy from bricklink but none of those shipped to my country these were Fangz, Nitroblast, Nex 3.0 me big sad :,,(
how do you have money to afford all this stuff?
Makes me feel like a rookie for having only 20 bionicles.
oof, ehlek is missing an eye
I know, rip I didn’t notice that when I filmed the video lol; he’s all OK now 😂
Too Bad Bionicle Cannot Make New Sets for 20th Anniversary Special
Did you build most of them)
I built all of them :)
@@DuckBricks cool
Whenever I see hanging lego sets, I get anxiety.
Man I wish he would sell some of these
$60 for all the bionicles. Take it or leave it
Nice try :)
@@DuckBricks I love your collection, man, nice job 👍
Haha thank you
"crazy" doesn't even begin to describe your collection... hope you find a larger space one day to adequately display everything.. or not because I can't imagine trying to pack and transport all of that
Same here, hopefully someday I’ll have a much larger space!
Is there a way for me to avail your trans neon green MIRU mask?
Haha maybe I’ll do a giveaway at some point
Make a video about unreleased rahkahi pls
A massive review of all 42 Rahkshi variants is on the way!
@@DuckBricks im glad to hear this )
Or where he buys from
I get most of my older Lego from Bricklink! It’s super reputable and owned by Lego.
Naic
Thanks!
jeasus, what am i looking at
bonkles
how does this guy afford all of this?
I really hope you don't live in a place that is prone to earthquakes, lol
Haha; I don’t think these shelves would be still standing if I did 😂
I had a smaller collection, my shelves starting shaking and I looked up only to see my characters slowly falling. I managed to catch some of my titans sets but many got partially broken.
Luckily I managed to rebuild them all.
I think my mom sold all mine😔
Oh god what if a earthquake happened :(
