I'm kinda surprised Kira would want him dead. Considering Light fears dying without establishing himself as God of the New World, I would have thought he'd want to keep West alive long enough to learn how to be immortal.

Easily my favorite part is when the hospital is in utter chaos, people are dying horribly in many ways, and Herbert West is just BOOKING IT right through everything. He genuinely doesn't care about any of it and is utterly FOCUSED on his goal.
If that isn't perfectly in character, I don't know what is.

Freddy Krueger is at least universal thanks to the necronomicon giving him all his dream powers in the real world (his dream powers were strong enough to give him full control of the dream world, a universe) überjason is at least city level thanks to tanking a nuclear blast to the face, and the xenomorphs/predators have various feats across multiple sources of media that put the top tiers above building level. This isn't even considering pennywise, who's outerversal in his true form

I adore that the animation is never simply a fight, it’s a story. Great work guys, keep it up
Theorically, the only way I can see Light Yagami winning this match is if he wrotte something along the lines of " Hebert Cursed Blood reacted poorly with all his reagents and lit itself on fire as a result", something that could potentially bypass Hebert ressurection power since such thing would destroy his ressurective blood, and is technically well within the realm of possibility on this match with the Deathnote, as Hebert has made plenty of experimentations on himself, and the Re-animator series is all about unexpected results of his experiments on the death and chemicals.
That all said, that would likely require Light to know before hand of Herbet's cursed blood and experimentations in the first place, and prep-time isn't normally allowed on such battles, so...
Perfect for October/Halloween. The voice acting was good, the analysis was good, and the battle itself was really entertaining. Going into this I knew Herbert would have this in the bag, but it was awesome to see Light and Herbert's ego's clash. Great work with the written dialogue too btw.
Yes I think Herbert stomps but I imagine the scene where he kills Herbert but Herbert keeps coming back from the dead I imagine light would probably go all quick thinking mode and make the deaths keep Herbert away so he could stall time or get Herbert to die via a car filled with gasoline to blow up and crash macking Herbert fall off a ledge so Herbert when researched would be stuck down there so light could make it harder for Herbert to kill him but Herbert will kill light later advantualy
in a deleted scene, herbert west has injected himself with his re-agent, while alive, to stay awake as a performance enhancer, its used as an explanation for how he shows up for the sequel after almost certain death

To be honest, I never thought of this match up before being a fan of both series it makes a lot of sense. While I do prefer Death Note as a whole, yeah Herbert had this in the bag with comic scaling. Matching L was rather impressive though, as L is quite capable. All in all I was pleasantly surprised.

One major thing this Matchup forgotten is that Light could've won by mind controlling Herbert with the 23 day rule to dump himself into the ocean, incinerate himself, or find a method Herbert knows will kill himself for good. I think Light could work but the Matchups need to be prep time based
