I LOVE THIS!!! In December 2018, I was $144k in debt. It's July 2019, I have $60k remaining. I want to be debt free by the end of the year and Aja Dang is one of the people I follow! Thank you for being so transparent!
Dannie Fountain how?
How'd you do it?
Dannie Fountain you can do it!!!!!
Dannie Fountain GIIIIIRRRL YOU GO! that’s so amazing! Girl make you a video!!
Dannie Fountain Dang!!! You’re an inspiration!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I love how you do not sugar coat your actions or make excuses.
I’m on the Dave Ramsey plan. My husband and I have paid off about $50k in debt and we live on a budget for the first time. It’s incredible how powerful it is to tell every dollar where to go! Kudos woman! Freeeeeedom!!
Scrunchy AZ Mom Good for you! We followed DR too & paid off all debts on one low income while cash flowing most of our college degrees & births of our 4 kids. We’ve been debt free for 3 yrs now. It’s hard but worth it! Keep going!!❤️
So proud of you ladies
I'll always be thankful to Dave Ramsey and his baby steps! Congratulations on your debt free journey!
Isn't it amazing how much money you find you just throw away on nothing once you start budgeting!? How much we wasted every month shocked me!
The moment she said I was paying $10k a month on my student loans I was like giiirrrrllll bye 😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭
EXACTLY.
Yup can't relate. I could pay off too if I made that much!
Ale garza lol! Ok, freaking Clickbait!, if My job paid what CZcams pays!, I’ll be debt free also!!!!!
Right! I barely make 2gs a month! And half goes to rent so how???
Exactly! Can she make a video we can relate too, if I made 10k a month I would be fine
Congrats girl!! I started my debt journey 15 months ago and have paid off 50K so far. I've got 30K to go until I'm debt free. I had a terrible relationship with money and it controlled my life. Now I tell my money where it goes and it's so empowering. My lifestyle has changed drastically and I've matured so much since deciding to tackle this debt. I can relate to so many things you've said here and I love your honesty and transparency. Thanks for sharing your debt journey 💚
Denise Franco YAS girl!!!! Get it keep going you’re so close to financial freedom and being DEBT FREEEE
"No job is 100% secure." I'm really feeling that right now.
Yes it's true. No matter how secure you feel, it's always good to diversify your income and save for at least 6-8 mo living expenses.
@@Ms.MD7 When that's possible. It's not possible for a lot of people to save that much money, and a lot of them are diversifying by having several jobs, but if you can't afford to save you generally can't diversify more than that.
@@void9662 I hear you on that. I'm struggling and so far I have 3 mo worth. Goal is to eventually have at least 6 mo. I try to sell stuff I no longer use and so far it's helping.
Void 966 Same. It’s scary. I try not to think about it toooooo much.
Love how honest you are. Sometimes people don’t tell the truth as to how they got in debt
You go girl! So proud of you! You should do a video on your past/present side hustles. Things you know anyone can do and how it worked for you.
Step 1: make at LEAST $10,000 a month.
Step 2: cry.
Yep. I don't even make that a year. Makes you want to quite ya job and just utube
Had to be much more than that to pay 85k in 7 months AND still treat yourself, and pay for 2 kids, housing, food, etc... yeah, this isn't a game plan that works for me, ctfu!!
Just shows how much they make
Not true at all. It definitely helps a lot, but budgeting makes all the difference try it and you’ll see.
@@LylyHec How is it not true? if you can pay off 85k in debt in a little over half a year and still be living your almost best life, then year youre clearly making over a 100k a year.
The best content I’ve seen from a CZcamsr in a long time. So raw and real. I honestly got emotional because I’ve been watching since your kids were babies and I’m so happy for you girl. You did dat Sarah!
Please make more of these, I love these videos you’re starting to do! Lifestyles are my fave and I’m learning so much!
Altho it isn’t realistic for most ppl to be this aggressive/radical with debt and saving, the CONCEPT is universal. Which is set an attainable goal (amount and timeframe), and a plan of action, and be consistent and PATIENT. Discipline and tunnel vision is the lesson here. Thanks for sharing such personal (and relatable) info in order to inspire us. ❤️
Yes please do a series on budget, credit and debt. I loved this video thanks sooo much for posting!!!
I'd like to hear how your Mom rebuilt her life after divorce. I just turned 50, have a good job, but have 0 to show for it. My credit tanked after the divorce, I have no savings,& can barely make it. It stresses me out so badly!! Thanks!
Are you contributing your max company match to a 401k (if you don't take advantage of company match it's like you're throwing away free money)? If not, start. Find a way. You will need money for retirement (I know someone who just dismisses retirement saving and says "I'll work until I'm dead". Nobody knows the future. They could get injured and end up being unable to work). Also, save a $1,000 emergency fund and then start paying down your debt. Have you heard of Dave Ramsey? He has a program to help people understand how to get out of debt.
Cherry Nurse your local bank may have financial advisors that can help you ( free of course)
Cherry that’s my storybgirl
I’m cheering for you!
I’m 41 and in the exact same position.
YES, I'm definitely interested in hearing about your personal journey and how you got to where you are today in your career! Thank you for sharing!
I just started saving FINALLY after paying off my debt and I have $4,000 ish in my saving. Such a small amount but I’m so proud of myself for having a savings account!
pinkeeluvr that is not a small amount, you’re doing great. More than half the people I know don’t even have $1000 saved.
pinkeeluvr that’s amazing congrats!!
Congratulations! That’s an amazing accomplishment and definitely goals.
Listening to this literally brought me to tears cause it’s exactly what I’m going through right now in life. Seeing this and hearing you talk gives me hope. Thank you ♥️
Same but I'm at the beginning of her story
Search for Dave Ramsey podcast, listen to it, you can do it!!
Great video. Was waiting for this one. Sending love to you and your family from Honduras ❤️🇭🇳
I am here for all of this. Thank you for sharing and connecting us to other financial influencers.
So the advice is to make tens of thousands of dollars a month?
So you missed the point? Is that all you got out of watching the video. Yeah just ignore she said she went from not making anything to making enough money to pay off her debt. Yes she had the opportunity to pay off alot more at once but thats besides the point, she worked extra and focused on paying off her debt and avoided getting in more debt and avoids credit cards, etc… Now she’s putting away money into retirement. The principals she used to pay off her debt can be
used in a lot of financial situations….get with it🙄
Congratulations that's awesome! From one single mom to another I'm really happy for you! You are inspiring
Thanks girl! This was the motivation I needed! Proud of you for setting those goals and crushing them! 💴💰
I needed this Sarah! The stress that my financial state causes is overwhelming. This video and your story gives me alot of hope. I just need to buckle down and get after it. Thank you.
I just found your channel and I fricken loooove you!! Sending some love from New Zealand xx binge watch is scheduled for tonight!!
The only I clicked on this is because I was gonna support my girl Sarah buuuuut now I feel the need to get my life together. Thanks girl! ❤
Definitely would love more of these videos!! Your makeup is always on point 😍
Just graduated college last December and this video is so motivating! Thank You!!!
Thanking you sharing your story with us. So glad that you were able to make it happen. ❤️
Sara this is awesome! My husband and I just finished paying off $48K worth of debt on one income with two kids. It has taken us 3 years of hard work but we did it and now in 2 months we are going to be able to buy our first house!
She is so spot on about Dave Ramsey!!! Girl yes. The dialogue needs to happen. I'm super in debt 😢😢 I'm hoping to one day not be but it will have to wait until daycare for my babies ends
One day and one step at a time. Don't think about the hurdles don't think about the journey.
I love you girl! I’m so proud of you! And don’t forget this feeling you have inspired me! 💕
Sarah ty! I needed this. In the wee hrs of the night I work up and was about to upload a video and I found you! The reason why I’m here on YT is because it’s a stress release and I’m on a journey to complete my degree and get out of debt. I’M A SINGLE MOM! Often I can’t see the debt being paid off, but it pains me that it’s hanging over my head. I WANT TO BE FREE! Hearing and relating to your story is just what I needed to see the debt for what it is and attack it. I’ve been more consistent than ever on my channel, but it’s taking time to grow! My heart is not to focus on the following, but share real life and stay authentic! Truly blessed by you! Congratulations on your wins because I know when you were losing it was tough! Sometimes people don’t consider what was the most darkest time in a persons life actually catapulted them into some of the best times of their lives! You deserve it. I know I do, too!
Thank you so much for being so vulnerable and candid in this video. I appreciate that tremendously. Please do more videos like this in the future! 💞✨
I dont understand all the negative comments? The "amount" is not the point... i related to this alot being broke as a joke and being irresponsible and ignorant with money when i was a young single mom.. thank you for posting this! I love Stacey Flowers too!
Sarah, you are absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing your journey and giving us inspiration for our lives! You go girl! 🙌🏼💪🏼
I appreciate how candid you are in this video. You are realistic that your means may not match the rest of us but still shared your mindset, and I like how you talk about the pros and cons of your journey. Thanks for the transparency!
I'm waiting for the day I see that "EMPTY HOUSE TOUR!!!" Vlog I'm excited for you!!
Loved 👏 this 👏 video!!
Ya Sarah makes more money than most of us and of course she payed off her debt in 7 months, but this video was so much more than that.
Please more of this! Listening to you talk about money is so soothing.
I love Aja Dang and Stacey Flowers. I absolutely love your honesty in this video. The fact that you knew, and admitted, that you had a bad relationship with money speaks volumes. Congratulations on changing your life and becoming debt-free.
sooo happy you made this video yesterday I sat and realized I need to get my ducks in a row! I remember watching your video on Credit Sesame and I try my best to keep up on that.
It's really nice to see someone who has money but still remembers where they came from and can appreciate both sides ❤
Yasssss girl!! I can relate so much!! Inspiring! Can you go into how you found the right financial advisor!! How to trust someone with your money! Also I do love Aja Dang !
Having a bigger “shovel” definitely helps with debt. Good job on paying off your debt! I wish more youtubers were open about finances
So basically everyone, keep doing what your doing and pay what you can when you can.
Thanks for the advice tho
Listening to you speak I feel so inspired!! I’ve been longing to get on the road to paying off my debt. I needed this pep talk so much! Thank you for sharing. I will soon follow your footsteps to being debt free and financial freedom!
For someone that can make 10k a month (120k a year), 78k of debt isn't a lot. 78k of debt is a lot for someone making 12k a year. Perspective is very important.
@Sun Seeker CZcams channel with 1 million subscribers makes a lot of money because they get a lot of views per video. This one guy on youtube who makes finance videos (finance videos have ads that pay more) makes 150k a month from youtube.
True, but it still requires a degree of discipline. Having the presence of money in your life does not necessarily solve financial problems but does often magnify bad habits.
I’m a new viewer to your channel and I am so impressed by your passion and dedication.
Thank you!!!!
Girl! I needed this! Even though our circumstances aren't the same, it's good to know that we all have a past and we all do irresponsible things. The point is: you're never actually drowning. Even if it feels that way. Come up with a plan and make that sacrifice. If it were easy, everybody would be doing it 🤷🏾♀️. Thank you so much for this!!!
Thanks for sharing! This was very informative and I would love to see more of these videos from you 😍😍
Love the realities in this video! Everyone talks about how good paying off debt feels and no one talks about how low it can take you! I would love more of these types of videos! Thanks for sharing!
I've never seen one of your vids, and I love this one! Super motivating. Single Mom, working two jobs right now because my goals are the same. Thank you, simply for the motivation to keep pushing!
I love hearing how a strong woman takes care of herself and her family ♥️
THIS IS INCREDIBLY INSPIRING!!! Thanks for being transparent Sarah, we all knew when your vlog channel halted in November/December of last year were when you really showed signs of exhaustion, I’m glad you crushed your goals and 2019 is a new year for you to be debt free and get your health back on track. This video helped me so much because it showed me it’s doable. Love ya girl!
Girl I get it focusing on lots of goals all at once can be challenging. Great job on hitting your financial goal of removing your debt
I've been on a financial journey for a year I am officially in the single thousands($9K ) left. I love watching haul videos and to see you make this video made my day, even more motivation that I can do it.
I appreciate that you mentioned this was because you have an untraditional job, because I love you, but this video was frustrating. I don't have a job that allows me to work more so that I can bank more money.
If possible, could you work a second job to help you pay off debt? I have worked 2 jobs at once like 7 times in my life. 3 of those times, I worked a full time job and a part time job as a single mom. If you have the time and the availability of someone to watch your kids, if you have any, it might be a good option for paying down debt.
I agree. I don't make nearly as much money as she does but I'm applying the same principles. Live below my means AND pick up extra hours a work. While I won't have my debt paid off in 7 months, I'm doing something about it and I know I'll be in a better place 1,2...10 years from now (because it'll at least take me 8 years to pay off my debt!!)
Anyone read Rich dad, poor dad? It changed by life.
@@dawnstrickland8214 I did read it. Life changing. Graham Stephan, the CZcamsr, is very knowledgeable and inspiring too.
@@brittla200 oh yes. I subscribe to him also. Great content.
The fact that you were paying 10k in student loans each month and my loans are a little over 10k is a huge eye opener....unrelated...can i start a youtube channel with my iphone? lol
Yes you can
She did a video on how to be a youtuber not too long ago.
Ally Knigge i’ll have to go rewatch it! 😂
Ally Knigge which video?
U can start a CZcams channel with a I phone Iam using a I pad
This seriously inspired me so much, time to work my ass off 🙌🏻 Gonna work my job more and then try to find some secondary income online.
This is the best and realest debt video, I have seen so far. Well done !
Wow this explains a lot! Glad you’re debt free! Love this video 😊
Yes please talk about the journey to where you are today. I would love to see more videos like this
Sarah,
Thank you for sharing your content. I actually watched this video a few weeks back. Excellent as always.
Stumbled on this video congratulations! You’ve motivated me to work twice as hard!
When you make 12k a year and she can pay 10k a month... 😭😭😭
Toni dene I’m kind of in a similar boat!! I think the moral to the story is work as much as you can and pay down as much as you can!
Yes!!!!
😢😢😢😢
Go make more!
Now you can begin your own business by basically browsing *4NetJobs. Com* . Do you wish to earn over 16,000 bucks? Find everything you`ll need and much more! We’ve tried out others that had the same concept, but this program is totally different, it actually gets results! Give it a try too! .
I'm glad you said you dont use credit cards anymore that's so important for people to hear especially the younger viewers!
Also if you have budget plan ideas or money lessons you're teaching your kids thatll be great 💕
This is a great video, sharing your experience is so inspiring! Thank you for making this for us
Really inspiring!! I’m excited to get my student debt out of the way! Thanks for the tips❤️
Yasss Sarah, congrats!! Come on over to the Budget Community... you can sit with us 🤣
Not realistic with normal 40 hrs. job that pays about 50,000 a year.
Not realistic in England where the average job is between 18k and 24k a year unless you've worked for the company for about 10 years.
I've just accepted it will take me 5 years to pay off all my debt and just hope nothing new pops up that requires further borrowing
You can still chip away! Just slower!
Get a second job
I’m a single mum with 2 special/medical needs kids in benefits. This year I’ve become debt free with savings. It is possible you just need to put in the hard work (budgeting every dollar, meal plan etc)
@@MegaLoveArashi I have 4 jobs - one full time and 3 part time. This means I actually can chip away at my debt quicker than I would without the part time jobs, but it will still take me 5 years.
Thank you. This gives me inspiration. We relocated and shit is expensive where I live now. And I’ve been trying to look for a job but the debt keeps piling up. Thanks for your words and things you can do.
That hustle is inspiring! Thank you for sharing your story with us. Here's to building major wealth in the new year!
I love Dave Ramsey! I listened to the radio calls all the time and the podcast.
I payed off all my debt in about a year. I like that he is straight with people. Sometimes you need that to wake up and change your life.
Ava Grenier I agree, I think he gets a bad rep as being a jerk because he is blunt BUT if you listen to him long enough, you see how he is truly compassionate to people & just so passionate about debt that he gets zealous! Haha People just sometimes get offended and don’t keep listening
Christina DePino I couldn’t agree more.
10k away of being debt free. I found Dave Ramsey and my world changed for the better.
Yes please 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 let us know more about the journey... so proud of you by the way!
I love the honesty. And, I agree, you can inspire people without insulting them. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Sarah, this was the 1st video I ever saw of yours and I absolutely loved it! You r so fun and genuine! I subscribed because i loved u soooo much! Many prayers and best of luck to you to a continued success 🙏💗
This was very inspirational and helped me start my own journey again! Thanks Girl
It’s 3 am and this message is heaven sent thank you
I would love to know how you improved your credit on that spectrum. I would be interested really in ANYTHING you wanna share. Cause this would be HELLA helpful! I really enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing. 💛💛
Rebecca Jaycox do you have credit card debt? Basically you want to make sure to keep making on time payments and keep debt under 30% of the max . Those are the 2 biggest factors to get your score up. If you’ve been making late payments but are current now just keep at it. It will take time but it will happen.
Jessica Dawson I have one card, but I keep it completely paid off. It’s just for Victoria’s Secret lol.
Rebecca Jaycox Have you pulled your score to see what factors are affecting it? I like credit karma. It might not be 100% accurate but it gives you an idea and it’s totally free.
Jessica Dawson yup. I get regular updates from them. I think honestly it’ll be a time thing. I have zero debt& the only real hold back lifted awhile back.
Rebecca Jaycox That’s awesome! Keep doing what you are doing. 😀
Thank you for your honesty and openness! This is awesome! 🌟
Yaaas! I love this kind of content. So real. So raw. You go girl!
oh how I love Stacy Flowers, she is the bomb! this video was great and I would really like to see more like this. Loved the idea for the credit score one!
WHERE did you get this money from? What is “EVERYTHING” that you did for work?
Congratulations!! My husband and I, are almost paying off our 80k mortgage house in 2 years. It’s feel so good.
When I hear Dave Ramsey speak harshly I feel like it's my dad or an uncle just telling me how it is because he loves me. It motivates me to get my shit together. Thanks for sharing your story. Hearing people at the other end is really motivating.
me too! I am like dam... he's right the truth hurts
I'm so obsessed with the Dave Ramsey show right now! He tells it like it is and working the baby steps has given me a ton of hope for my financial future.
Yep! It's like "I love you, dummy. Do better."
Would def love to learn about the financial advisor/ retirement plan and how you were able to pay it off. Congratulations on being debt free!!!
This was so inspiring. I can relate to your life experiences deeply!!! I'm 34 with 3 daughters, one failed marriage behind me, and one learning experience after another. In the last few years I've been homeless after losing my house, my car, my job, etc all with a toddler and while pregnant with another baby. At times I didnt know where I was going to put my head. Other times I was on the brink of homeless while I worked dead end jobs around the clock and hardly saw my kids or partner. It wasn't until 2020 when I got laid off that I really started to refocus and take care of my mental health and embrace my family again. Thank you for sharing your life experience with us, I'm a huge fan of your channel🥰
I must say I really commend your courage you're very strong.
Good for you!! 🙌🙌 Girllll I'm over her struggling to make rent payments absorbing all the info!
omg yess please do financial videos and how you got your credit score up!
So I need to figure out how to make $10,000+ a month 😂😂
Yes, if you need to pay off 85,000 in under a year. If not, just plan on paying it in a longer time span. Good luck! 😊
Right
Bekah Does Disney PREACH! 🤣😂🤣
There’s way to have multiple income too. Of course 10k a month is a little unrealistic but I’m sure she has multiple incomes including CZcams and deals with brands. I’m sure CZcams isn’t the only income
🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Thank you for being so honest in this video. So many people out there are uncomfortable talking about money! But we need to have discuses to inform other people about money.
Will you please do a video on how you edit your videos!? Proud of you woman!!!
Would welcome more financial ideas. Always looking for side gigs to catch up.
Yes girl! This is what I needed to hear. I have been stressing about my debt. If you can pay off 85k I can pay off my 2k. I would love more videos on this!!
Omg! Thank you for this video and thanks CZcams for sending her my way! Please talk about your journey!!! New sub
I love you already. New subscriber..you got me ready to work overtime
