Now I tell my money where it goes and it's so empowering. My lifestyle has changed drastically and I've matured so much since deciding to tackle this debt. Altho it isn’t realistic for most ppl to be this aggressive/radical with debt and saving, the CONCEPT is universal. Which is set an attainable goal (amount and timeframe), and a plan of action, and be consistent and PATIENT. Discipline and tunnel vision is the lesson here. Are you contributing your max company match to a 401k (if you don't take advantage of company match it's like you're throwing away free money)? If not, start. Find a way. You will need money for retirement (I know someone who just dismisses retirement saving and says "I'll work until I'm dead". Nobody knows the future. They could get injured and end up being unable to work). Also, save a $1,000 emergency fund and then start paying down your debt. Have you heard of Dave Ramsey? He has a program to help people understand how to get out of debt.

So you missed the point? Is that all you got out of watching the video. Yeah just ignore she said she went from not making anything to making enough money to pay off her debt. Yes she had the opportunity to pay off alot more at once but thats besides the point, she worked extra and focused on paying off her debt and avoided getting in more debt and avoids credit cards, etc… Now she’s putting away money into retirement. The principals she used to pay off her debt can be
used in a lot of financial situations….get with it🙄

Rebecca Jaycox do you have credit card debt? Basically you want to make sure to keep making on time payments and keep debt under 30% of the max . Those are the 2 biggest factors to get your score up. If you’ve been making late payments but are current now just keep at it. It will take time but it will happen.

    • @shearsparkle

This was so inspiring. I can relate to your life experiences deeply!!! I'm 34 with 3 daughters, one failed marriage behind me, and one learning experience after another. In the last few years I've been homeless after losing my house, my car, my job, etc all with a toddler and while pregnant with another baby. At times I didnt know where I was going to put my head. Other times I was on the brink of homeless while I worked dead end jobs around the clock and hardly saw my kids or partner. It wasn't until 2020 when I got laid off that I really started to refocus and take care of my mental health and embrace my family again. Thank you for sharing your life experience with us, I'm a huge fan of your channel🥰
