Actually He's the descent of bodhi dharma, His DNA matches with bodhi dharma about 85% so heroine brings out some experiment on Surya to bring back all the powers, knowledge of bodhi dharma into him by doing DNA mutations something, and thus the cure can be found by him, as only bodhi dharma knew cure for it. As a part of experiment he shouldn't be exposed to sunlight, and as it was last day of experiment, he gets all the powers...

Before Bodhi Dharma visited china they already know Kungfu but Bodhi Dharma style of Kungfu was different from them which is better and efficient. So after learning Bodhi Dharma style of Kungfu chinese left their old style and adopted Bodhi Dharma style kungfu till today they are following the same
