Very useful vedeo. I got the same clutch plate problem against which Honda city petrol VMT ivtec 2010 model. Honda show room service people quoted Rs.29, 300/- for spares plus Rs.4000 for labour extra. your vedeo saved me Rs.28,000/- by paying Rs.6k to best Road side mechanic infront of our eyes. wonderful vedeo. Sir I have 2014 diesel model honda city.
Which manufacturer company is good to choose for clutch plate set? Because on Bodmo there are two or three oem manufacturers.
I believe will not take risk for changing clutch outside agency,this is highly risky and no guarantee of any malfunction.
Clutch is very important which is life of car & should be done only at delarshiip.
Just one observation local machines always use hammer or jugar to open the old screw as they don't have proper device,pls avoid
@ ZUBY I have a 2012 ivtec city.. the clutch release fork you mentioned makes noise if not greased properly, I'm getting that problem and also the rubber gasket cover of the fork on clutch case is cracked open. Do you think it is possible to grease the clutch fork without opening the clutch case. I'm thinking of trying to apply grease by removing the clutch fork rubber gasket which sits on the clutch case and can be accessed from under the hood? Also i can feel some play in the clutch fork when i push it by hand, does this mean that clutch bearing also has to be changed?
Basically I'm annoyed by that constant chu chu sound made by the clutch fork..

I had changed my clutch of Honda Wr-v Diesel, clutch pedal has become very soft but gear shifts have become hard any reason why gear shifts are still hard?

My 1st gear is not picking up smoothly without applying gas.
And my clutch is hard.
Plus every gear shift I release my clutch it gives a jerk.

Meri city 2010 i-vtec gear atak raha hain, pickup lagging n jerkin after every gear change.... N 5th gear par full acceleration dene par jerk de rahi h....
Get your clutch checked.... I believe its time is over....

6k plus 2k labour is 8 k as compared to companies 12k quote u saves 4k hmm ...peace of mind of 4k ..if we don't trust the company is it?

If you drive comfortable .not harsh drive ,no drifting..so i think 90 to 1lakh km .enough..for change

My honda city is Aug 2009 model has been driven 184000 and after 39000 I had installed the CNG KIT in it. Still running on original clutch set. However when I have complained abt the pickup in my general 1.80lac service in honda they suggested after 2days of checkup in car that you should get clutch set replaced it will improve your pickup. Other than the pickup, no other issues I am facing. Clutch is not hard. No problem in gear shifting. Avg is marginally down with little margin so never bothered me. I have checked on boodmo OEM set is not available.😢 and yes honda will charge like any thing plus they will suggest to change few other things which is not needed and will increase the bill.
Just looking for local options with OEM parts Under 7 to 8k with labour.

Sir i own a 2015 HC VX Ivtec , I recently got my Clutch replacement done but there is a problem which still remains unresolved that problem is when i downshift the car from 3rd to 2nd gear the car refuses to downshift i have to apply extra force to downshift or it downshifts only at extremely low speed. What should i do ?

That is actually a security system on honda city’s to protect the gear from damage, it makes it harder for you to downshift to very low gears in high speeds nothing to do with this it is engineering to be that way.
Synchromesh gears, one can get them replaced, but best live with it. It's a feature that becomes annoying pretty fast, especially on cold starts. If you can find GM Synchromesh or Pennzoil Transmission Fluid, then it should behave better than Honda MTF.

Guys I did the same and the work was shody... The car jerked from standstill... I had to give it to showroom for changing the clutch and it now feels like new... When we do it from service center the parts are authentic and they change the fly wheel too.. Instead of doing it in lath machine..
What was problem after clutch set change from local mechanic?
@@prmrlxmn he didn't change the flywheel and hence when I released the clutch there was jitter.. He told just raise a little bit but he knew something was not right... I took it to Honda service center... They did change the flywheel and the car is back to smooth best.. No jitter nothing..
