This message couldn't have been more timely. The wall I'm up against is my dear wife intent on divorce. Had God not prepared me for this season, and had He not surrounded me with believers who are encouraging me with Scripture and seemingly endless prayer and had He not promised to sustain and deliver me/us from this struggle, the circumstances would be truly unbearable. Praise The Father, praise Jesus, and thank the Holy Spirit. Please, y'all, pray for my family.

Amen. Something I encounter, when others doubt, me a swimmer and accustomed to having my own lane, is John 1:51, "I lay down my life and pick it back up again." When it seems there is nothing in front of me but a wall, I trust the Lord will remove it or give me a window or a door, but I cannot find it if I am straining to move forward in my own plans. So, I lay down my life. I stop striving for the goal I was trainng for and breathe, look up, and wait. One way to think of this is someone teaching me how The Golden Rule is believed by Jewish believers in God to be the antithesis of how it is written in Matthew 7:12. Instead of do, they replace do not (I've been told), so "Do not do to others what you would not want done to you." In this way, you are asked by God to seek what he wants. Why he allowed the situation to present as it has, much like Job was given full freedom to choose God or the devil. It is amazing how many times an answer will present itself, and the question that usually follows is "am I brave enough?" Then, "do I believe in Him enough?" There truly is no better husband than Jesus Christ, nor better brothers than those who will die for him just the same. One more thing, the Lord Jesus said to look to the clouds for him. I do this every day, and I cannot tell you what he tells me. Truly, there would be ample cause to define me as insane, but I know he is alive and bringing me flowers.
The secular world also changes that verse (the Golden Rule) eg the Rockwell mural at the United Nations building.

Because if someone has the Holy Spirit indwelling (i.e is a Christian by definition: John 14:16-17, Romans 8:9, 2 Corinthians 13:5 etc) they KNOW never to do harm because LOVE is part of the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and "love does no harm to its neighbor" (Romans 13:8-10).
The whole POINT of Jesus choosing the active verb "DO" is that it means we purposely DO GOOD (i.e give, be generous, forgive, be merciful etc) *JUST AS JESUS DID* while on earth and we don't just "avoid doing harm".
@@leenieledejo6849 I understand what you are conveying I just don't think it is as mature in faith as it could be. Harm is a matter of perspective, and the evil one seeks to control you first in mind then in body. Matthew 5:33-37 is a good passage to show Jesus was not singular in his efforts to graduate his people from what Piaget would call the concrete stage of child motivations. Self actualization, which is spoken of by both Abraham Maslow and Kohlberg, in his 2nd stage of post-conventional morality, which requires the willingness of a person to accept his/her own mortality and still choose to do what is right despite the threats against him/her. Jesus said in Mt. 10:26-42, the world would bring us to such trials and he didn't say he would change your diaper. "Hitting the wall" in a marathon or ultramarathon does not apply to shorter races (even half marathons) because it's a physiological issue.
The body naturally becomes depleted of resources - especially glycogen in the muscles - at about 20 miles (35 km) so you're almost literally "running on empty".
But yes, it is possible to do things in preparation to avoid this eg weekly long runs and running in the mornings on an empty stomach in order to train the body to use energy from fat stores when glycogen is depleted.
As a former long-distance runner, I make the comparison with FASTING.
Fasting prepares you spiritually and mentally for tough times. It also strengthens you against temptation because when you fast (especially the first time) you notice that hunger pangs come in WAVES and that you can resist them by the power of the Holy Spirit (till they go away) by praying, worshipping and reading Scripture.
In the SAME WAY, temptations (either physical or mental/spiritual eg to despair) can be resisted because they come in waves.
"Submit yourselves to God.
Resist the devil and he will flee from you" (James 4:7)

I ran as a young person, and I ran into that wall many times . The most important thing is to take that next step. Just one. Take it. Okay, do that again. Persevere to the best of your ability and eventually receive your second wind.
This demands a rare combination of mastering your body while being sensitive to its needs. It is always your choice.
May I add my input, here? Like yourselves (the two of you gentlemen, who have mastered [at least] two languages: one of which Yeshua Jesus spoke fluently), I have a very good "working knowledge" of a second language.

Guys, can you please explain if Galatians are doomed after their sin?
Jesus says there is only one sin that has no forgiveness, and that is speaking against the Holy Ghost. If someone attributes a miracle that a Holy Ghost filled man or woman of God did, such as heal the sick, or cast out a demon, or give a word of prophecy, and they say it is of the Devil, they blaspheme the Spirit of God, and there is no forgiveness for it. Everything else is forgivable, if the sinner repents.
If anyone preaches any other gospel than what the new testament preaches, there is a curse on it. If they repent and stop preaching error, they are forgiven, unless they blasphemed the Holy Ghost.
Part of the armour of God is the helmet of salvation. It is a helmet that protects the head. Against what? Against Satan's suggestion to your head that you are not saved any more. If you have not spoken against the Holy Spirit, and you have repented of whatever other sin you may have committed, you are forgiven. If Jesus forgives you, you are saved. Walk in his love and sin no more. Keep that helmet on. Raise that shield of faith, wear those boots of the gospel, snug up that belt of truth, brandish the sword of God's word (not your own word, and remember that sword cuts both ways), and pray always in the spirit.

Father in heaven you already know my brother david is 'out of gas'.. he knows it and you know it. You see him and we know what you do when one of your lambs is struggling you pick him or her up and carry them to the next green pasture over the next hill. David's strength will be renewed and he'll be ready to carry on with newness of heart, mind and spirit when you reach that pasture.. but for now he rests on your mighty shoulders. Thank you Lord for David's life.. he will sing the song of restoration that each one of us has after being carried by you. Your mercy triumphs over judgement as we rest in your loving care. Jesus Christ, is the way, the truth, and the life. Another way of saying this is Jesus Christ is a living science...what he showed us is how to live righteously in a hostile world governed by electromagnetic laws that don't necessarily work in our favour.
