This engine is (sold).... We got more if you want one built!
What’s the price on the engine?
@@patrickgoodman2111 Depends on it's state of completion - email me if you're seriously interested.
@@Gen3AntiqueAuto what is your email address?
@@patrickgoodman2111 ññ
@@patrickgoodman2111 Sorry I got busy and don't remember if we got together. "gen3antiqueauto" on gmail if you still need engine work done!
Another way to adjust the clutch is to measure the clutch spring installed height. Using this method you set the installed height at 2”. Meaning you adjust the screws until the spring it self measures2” from end to end
Great video ! Thanks for explaning it well and keeping a great camera angle!
Thanks!
this is the best explanation of how the transmission even works that I've seen so far, and that's not even what you were trying to explain. very nice. thank you.
Wow, thanks!
I'm doing another one right now - let me know if i I missed anything and if I get it in time I'll add in the info to this one.
Thank you. Really enjoy your approach and execution
Thank you for watching - I'll do more if there is a market for it! Any requests?
Thank you for this video. I'm a line tech and this is cool stuff.
You are very good at what you do My daddy was a model A_ an T mechanic I was his h
you must have some great memories!
Excellent video, very informative, good illustration, look forward to more of your content! Thank You
Thanks
Muy bien y bien prolijo
Great video
I'm doing that right now.
Hopefully what I did was helpful for you.
You should have twisted the wire between the bolts so that they want vibrate and brake plus it looks nicer.
Who's going to see it?
exelente video
Gracias
Nice job. However a little more detail and perhaps a new microphone.
What details are you interested in specifically? and yeah - audio is a HUGE pain in the a here. Bought a lapel mic - made it worse.
i have been enjoying your Mod T videos I' m currently doing the same job . I'm at the point of installing the magneto, and I find that the KR Wilson tool is no longer available. I have looked every where. My question is how critical are these measurements and is there another wary?
Off the top of my head and you should look it up - 0.030" clearance is what you want. You can do it without the tool, just takes longer. Do JUST the flywheel and spare your back, build the transmission on it when it's done.
Very cool do you have of the bands and installation
of course! It's in the middle of the 1925 restoration playlist.
Here's one link: czcams.com/video/hnRzvdaKN6g/video.html
Thank you
Why are there fan blades on the flywheel?
that's the "oil pump"
Oh, shit…"combined oil pan"…I forgot that part. That "pump" has to drag lots of power!
The transmission is pretty clever. Like the precursor to the Hydra-matic, missing the hydraulic coupling (tq convertor) & actuators.
I'm kinda surprised I haven't seen an Arduino/servo kit that will operate a Model T transmission "automatically".
For 10 thou out you needed to move the shaft 5 thou
agreed!
Hello Gen III Antique Auto
With wat torque (Nm) are the four screws of the flywheel screwed onto the engine ?
Thank You very much for Your help !!
I would guess about 40-45 ftlbs. "tight" then wired so they can't move.
@@Gen3AntiqueAuto Oh, thank You very much for the answer
Best wishes and greetings from Bavaria!
Did you see this one? czcams.com/video/eri4cU8Gj-w/video.html @@alfonshinkel863
you forgot the oil feed line
you sir are absolutely correct. Good thing I never rush into a project! The transmission and the block are now for sale - seperately.
@@Gen3AntiqueAuto I did the same thing , I hate double work ,Thank god I realized it while putting the pan on
@@kenpruvit1037 yeah well I should have known better... 🤣
Let's use the communist measurement- 9and 3/4 s (97.5mm).😂
Appreciate the comment!
