6Cyl Subaru STI?! 900HP AWD 3.0L Sequential Trans (CRAZY Backroad Launch!)

- On this episode we feature two insane Subarus built by Machines Gone Wild! First a factory appearing "Sleeper" STI making 900AWHP on a 2.5L, Super 99 72mm turbo and sequential trans. The second is one of the most wild street Subarus we've ever filmed, fitted with a 6 cylinder 3.0L Subaru engine, 72mm Borg warner turbo, and sequential trans. Machines Gone Wild utilizes Manley Performance engine internals in their in-house Subaru builds. We take both cars out for some pulls, strap in and enjoy the ride!

I remember Perrin tried an H-6 STi a long time ago, but not sure if it's still alive.
It just takes a lot to build the EZ's for big power. They're a 6 meant to fit in the same space as the 4 banger, less than an inch longer and less than 100lbs heavier. Unfortunately, this means the bore spacing is less aka thinner walls and narrower bearings on the crank/rods than the H4's. Still a great motor but aftermarket is small and expensive.

Go follow Smeedia. He is in the middle of doing an EG33 H6 swap on his 2015 STI & is doing the wiring/ ECU himself & explains a lot of the wiring/ECU pretty well.

The EG33 Video is useless as the EG33 was literally an EJ22 with 2 more Cylinders. It also has no where near the amount of wiring the EZ30 has. The EZ30 was a conpletely new design centered around making a functional H6, and shares literally nothing with the EG Series except that there's 6 bangy bois. The EZ30 whether is be the D, or the R had many improvements like 3 exhaust ports per head, AVLS, AVCS, Asymmetrical Connecting Rods, Chain Driven Timing, etc.
Am yet to see any EZ making power made by EG33

I can't believe its taken so long for people to do subaru 6 cylinder builds. So much more torque. When he said over 700 lbs/ft to the wheels my jaw dropped. You can't see that in a video. That thing will glue you to the seats. So clean too one of the nicest STIs out there 👍
when the guy went over the blue STI build, all I could think is the amount of money that has been put into it but it's clean ASF.
Has to be over 100k 😭 but hey there are worse things we can spend our money on right?

800+hp @34psi isn't bad on a 3 ltr. I make 635whp @30psi on my 2jz. So his numbers are pretty impressive especially when other cars need 45 psi to hit those numbers.
@@clutchkickpj693 Twin Turbo hellion sleeper Mustang guy here.... I made 730hp on just waste gate 6lbs. We turned it up to 14lbs and made 1035hp. Lol I couldn't imagine pushing anymore boost than 20lbs. Yikes
Boost is a horrible measure of power. Its Rmore about how much air you can flow through that turbo. Big difference between 20PSI at 350CFM, and 20PSI at say 900CFM

I would think it is not the clutch but the transmission instead (engage the clutch and the rattle will stop). I used to hear the noise when people would convert to a solid flywheel vs a dual mass. The noise comes from the transmission but is caused by the single mass flywheel.
@@83alpinab9 I had the same problem on my old triple disc Mazdaspeed 6. Raising the idle RPM cures the noise.

Man, don't say that. I'm 19 and my I have one of my dream cars. A cutlass supreme, thought I could NEVER afford it...but I bought one for 1300 bucks...and I'm just going peice by peice now. You don't need the 30 grand upfront and ready for it right away. Just build it bit by bit

Awesome build! I'm doing an EG33 swap into my 2017 STI Right now. Currently getting built, hopefully should have the motor back in a week or two but shooting for 1000-1100WHP. Debated doing the EZ30 as well. Awesome build!

That STI is so clean!!! Finally people are exploring the H6 platform on Subaru’s. They are highly available on Junkyards, they pretty much bolt right on, sound better and have more displacement.

There are various type or kinds of sequential transmissions some require more input than others, and some not so much. It just depends on your budget and driving capabilities. Some require heel and toe or manual blip shifting on down shifts but on the upshifts no clutching required.
You have to trust this man with your life in the 900 hp because he’s wearing a seatbelt and you’re not 😂🗣

I like this. I always wonder why people dont do Tribeca swaps...i remem always reading these swaps in Import tuner magazines back in the days.
They don’t do it because the electronics and computer is the main thing that prevents someone to do it. It would take a lot of brain and money to figure it out how to plug one in. Once the research is done and there’s enough parts to do this kind of swap it would be more common.

@@nunchuckfilms yeah but I rather spend the money closing the deck on a flat 6 than on a flat 4. You will achieve higher horsepower easier than the 4 cylinder and more reliable. There’s potential on the H6 but since hardly any build one for horse power is a lot more expensive tu build than a 4 cylinder one. Is very rare to see a build H6

I am actually astounded Subaru run the same shitty 16mm single core radiator ( top tank different0 in these things and 2lt engines.
