I saw Death Angel before they even had a record out...Jan 1986, opening for Exodus, Possessed, D.R.I. in LA!
Got to hang out with these guys way back, it was on Mark's 21 first B-day. They played First Ave in Minneapolis, Rigor Mortis was the opening band. We ended the night at a friends studio where they jammed a bunch of Sabbath songs. Great time!
Saw 'em on the Ultra-Violence tour at Rockitz in Richmond, VA. Hell of a show. Hell of an album. WAAAAY back in the day.

I was sitting here trying to come up with a funny reply but you know what? I WAS young at the right time. Or at least the last "right time" that I've seen come along. At least for music.

I was gonna say that "old guy" in glasses in the front is having the time of his life. Until I realized I could be that same old guy at 49 years of age! Hahaha! Funny how this brings me to an age (and made me forget my current one) when I first listened to this album!
I saw the Ultra Violence tour at the Ritz in New York with Exodus and Voivod. Destruction was supposed to be there too but they werent allowed into the country. I was 16 years old at the time

I miss Andy Galeon, Dennis Pepa, and Gus Pepa. Who does this new bass player think he is? Cliff Burton? Headbanging not in time with the music was Cliff's thing. Sit down new boy. Mark and Rob are still kicking ass though, I gotta admit. Cavestany has been a favorite guitarist of mine since I was a kid in '87.
