  • When thieves showed up to steal from a cosmetics store in Pennsylvania, police were waiting for them. The West Whiteland Police Department received information that a vehicle connected to robberies at Ulta stores was headed to a location in Exton, so officers were sent to stake out the store. While observing the vehicle, they say two males got out of the car and went into the store. Surveillance video shows them filling bags with perfume. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

I can imagine they're a big target for theft. There's a bunch of small, light, compact and valuable items lying around. Little bottles of perfume can be worth over $100. Each smash and grab could net someone thousands of dollars, even when taking into account how little you receive after fencing the stolen good.

I would think that the first red flag would be a dude going into a store like that and not asking for help right away. For most guys, walking into a make-up store to get a present for your S.O. is about as comfortable as walking into a gay bar at 2:00 am after your truck has a blowout, your phone has no signal, and your and spare is missing.

I also dislike how woke DA don't charge all the crimes. But one thing I learned at city council meetings is that our city only has a small jail of its own because to save money, most of the cities and towns in our county banded together with the County government to create a County Jail to house all the detained convicted criminals. Each town or municipality pays into it an extra fee for each prisoner to be held. So by sending fewer prisoners that saved money for the city budget. Unfortunately, after all this time of seeing lackadaisical city employees, I get the feeling that saving city budget money is their codespeak for more money to divert to contractor firms created by friends and family members. Thus, fighting crime by jailing more criminals means less money to be skimmed by friends and family on other projects that exist only if there isn't huge budget pressure on the city.

there will be a day, where you wont be able to take stuff off a shelve to put into your cart because of people like this. Just watch, you'll go in a store click on a screen see the inventory click how many you want and someone from the back of the store will bring it out to you or a damn robot.

News flash, that's how it was in the olden days. You didn't wander around a store. You talked to a clerk saying "I want this, that, and the other" and the clerk would get it for you. Supermarkets were hugely unpopular when they first appeared and now look, that's the standard business model. They've crunched the numbers and decided it's cheaper to let the occasional theft happen than to have employees who get the items for you.

That's how it was for centuries. It wasn't until 1916 that Kroger implemented the first self service shopping, where you pay after picking things out. In nations with too high of crime rates, and for products here with high theft rates, it's still that way.

That's the way Service Merchandise stores operated with a lot of their products before they disappeared.

It’s good to see this type of robbery is starting to be taken seriously. Now let’s see how the DA handles the prosecution of these low life’s.

We'll never hear about these thugs again. But rest assured, they'll be back on the street in no time, doing the same thing.

They’ll get released the same day with a warning and then if they get caught again then maybe there will be more serious consequences while their parents tell the media that they’re angels and good boys and would never do such a thing
