Looks like a renovation project is underway. They look like very strong housing, why not keep the style that is the UK. When I think of the UK, I think of the cute little town with bungalows very much like the houses in this video. Somebody had some foresight to keep the great, cozy, style that is the UK.
Somebody with big bucks could have a great little subsidized housing location with durable living quarters. The fixture choice looked really good. Americans are interested in these things, on a long term lease agreement. As long as it makes money, it's a good idea.
Looks like they were going 2 V fairly high end houses, bathrms w/ sep showers + bth tub & looked like I saw sprinkler system in ceilings , bth rms nicely tiled. Some w/ balconies. They should sell em cheap 2 people who can do their own reno, like construction workers, electricians, those that flip houses, etc,
Why are there so few windows on the second floor, and on the sides of many of these houses? Do people not want to see their neighbors in front of, or next to, the house? Is it some kind of illusion of privacy to mostly have the windows in the back? Or is it to prevent heat loss in a cold and windy climate? I don't understand the design, but I'm American and frankly clueless about contemporary trends in houses in Scotland, so please forgive my ignorance. The window placement does seem rather visually unbalanced and unattractive, and those tacked-on front hallway entrances are not that upscale-looking to me... yet the internal layouts and bathrooms look fairly classy. How odd to see all that unused building material just sitting around... in the USA it would have been stolen ages ago, and all the wiring and bathroom fixtures stripped out. Here people steal like mad from sites while you're still building the houses... you have to have security people laid on if you want to keep your materials. Sad to say.
I found out about these on the internet a long time ago. The views on Google maps aren't great, so I've been hoping that someone would put a video of them up on CZcams.
