Shame isn't it. We found these houses about 6 years ago when we were looking for a new house and I emailed the builder to ask if he intended to sell as they looked brand new then but he didn't reply. Lovely big balconies and don't know if you all noticed but those ones on the right look directly on to a lovely wee river in a nice wee village, the location is so nice. Such a waste isn't it !

Down in the US they had a whole little town that was condemned because it used to be where they used to just bury the nuclear waste and then the town folk started getting cancer children were dying of cancer and you could go back there now and everything is just as it was because the people literally had to grab their clothes and get out of there. I know the government put a tall fence around the town town and locked it up. I haven’t seen anything in the news about it for a few years.
I bet they ran out of money or there’s a lien on each house. 🤷‍♀️

  • @ShakepearesDaughter

Why are there so few windows on the second floor, and on the sides of many of these houses? Do people not want to see their neighbors in front of, or next to, the house? Is it some kind of illusion of privacy to mostly have the windows in the back? Or is it to prevent heat loss in a cold and windy climate?
I don't understand the design, but I'm American and frankly clueless about contemporary trends in houses in Scotland, so please forgive my ignorance. The window placement does seem rather visually unbalanced and unattractive, and those tacked-on front hallway entrances are not that upscale-looking to me... yet the internal layouts and bathrooms look fairly classy.
How odd to see all that unused building material just sitting around... in the USA it would have been stolen ages ago, and all the wiring and bathroom fixtures stripped out. Here people steal like mad from sites while you're still building the houses... you have to have security people laid on if you want to keep your materials. Sad to say.

They do not give out the location because if they did they would be trashed and vandalised. That is the number one rule of people doing these videos.......no locations mentioned

I appreciate that, but there is info you could give that is not about the location, like what were the big plastic covered stacks in front and it looks like someone was beginning a restoration, then stopped. Is that what you think, too?

Thanks. You, as the filmmaker, are able to observe things we can't. I understand the privacy. What a waste of housing, however.

what happened to this place? i love your accent..I live in the state of Florida USA.. I would live there. I see now there not finished. My guess would be they ran out of money to finish them. Also the mold isn't a good thing either...dangerous.

initial builders went bankrupt, There were investors from Australia looking to buy but none of these were answered, no one wants to sell up so they can rebuild as far as i know
