I recently chose the 8 Plus over the X, primarily due to the larger, usable screen and the home button. I use my phone in the car for audio play and navigation. Face unlock seems impractical unless you are holding your iPhone in your hand. For me, design aesthetics, are secondary to function, durability, and design. I would not consider using a cell phone without a case. I do not want scratches on my device and I do not want to risk breakage. The 8 Plus screen is, in my experience, far better for reading than any of the previous OLED Samsung devices I have used. In real life, blacks are rarely as dark as are found on most OLED screens. I intend to keep this iPhone for many years. The processor coupled with 256 GB of storage should last me four to five years.
I easily get through a whole day with moderate to heavy use. I do occasionally top off my phone. I have two Samsung wireless chargers with i have had since 2015. I really don't need to do this. It is just a habit. My phone has never dipped below 45%. .

John Armwood I never use my iPhone 7 with a case, skin, or screen protector. I hate not being to directly feel the device with my hands. It also helps to reduce overheating.

Oxi Clean just replace the fucking battery. It’s going to drain at different speeds according to each phone and each user’s usage. If you buy it used (which I recommend) the batter may drain fairly quickly because it has degraded over time (all batteries degrade over time). Also if you buy it used, you will save a lot of money, which you can use to replace the battery.
These devices are supposed to be even faster on iOS 12. Especially the 6s/6s plus. Im really surprised Apple is doing this. That backlash about device slowdown mustve really hit them hard. 30$ battery replacements and now the OS is making older devices faster instead of slower. The 6s/6s Plus will still be a beast in 2019!

Just got an used iphone 6s plus 64 gb for around $330 In India and it’s blazing fast,it’s the best iphone as per price to worth ratio.This is my first iPhone.Just the external speaker isn’t very loud and battery capacity is 81%.But I’m sure it’ll run great for another 2 good years easily.

Good question, not sure. That’s been my experience so far. Maybe something to do with wireless chargeable glass back and battery? Or perhaps the home button having a vibration instead of a clickable button ie more drain on the battery due to that each time I unlock it? The battery is slightly smaller too and 6s plus on apple.com has longer talk time and music than 7+8 but supposedly less internet browsing time. I mostly use my iphone for wifi browsing, podcasts and mail

I love my matte black 7 plus and it's still going strong. I will probably try to hang on to it for about 2-3 years. I would recommend 7 plus especially if you are on a budget.

Had an iPhone 6s for two years. Just got my 8 plus back in February and I love this phone major upgrade for me from a 6s standard so I don’t plan on upgrading till the new iPhones drop 2019-2020
My choice was the 8 Plus because I got done paying off my 6s @T-Mobile after the two years were up so i wanted to upgrade after that. Come taxes I had the money for it so that’s what I treated myself to and I don’t regret it. I was honestly going to buy the 7 Plus and the T-mobile guy also mentioned by the next two years go by I’ll really be outdated with getting a 7 Plus so I also recommend the 8plus it will last longer and the glass back feels so great. Can’t go wrong trust me you won’t regret it.

6s Plus won me over to iPhone from Android, but switching carriers and now going to a 7 Plus. Overall I doubt I'll ever go back to Android, I've been made a believer.
I’ve still got my 6s Plus, they’re great. Apple really got the technology right in those things because they’re still fast and not laggy in 2018. Hopefully IOS12 is better though because IOS 11 has so many bugs which is the only thing that ruins my experience
I got the iPhone 6S Plus just yesterday, brand new from Argos for £350! It performs brilliantly and I don't notice any lag/freezing whatsoever. I plan to keep it on the current iOS so it doesn't lose any more speed, as it's amazing as it is. I got the 6S Plus over the other 2 models not only for the lower price but also because I prefer the design, along with the physical home button, and it has the headphone jack. As an iPod user I don't need a headphone jack all the time on my phone anymore, but it's just really handy to have. This iPhone is still a brilliant buy - to me it's as good as a newer model - but cheaper _and_ with the headphone jack!

Nick is comparing 6S plus from 2015. After almost 3 years its still in the discussion and running fine and smooth. So taking that into consideration, 8 plus being a relatively newer tech, better internals should last you easily 3 years minimum

Hi yes I had the choice of getting the iPhone 6s + or the iPhone 7 or 8+ back in January sales but I choose the 6s Plus with 128gb mainly coz is got a headphone jack and the aluminium metal construction & I think is a great choice & the battery lasts me all day it’s really good mine is the nice space grey iPhone anyway peace.

I’m done with the Plus iPhones. After having the 6 Plus and the 6s Plus I’m tired of these big phones. I’m looking to get the 2018 iPhone X or the Samsung Galaxy 9. I love a big screen but smaller form factor.
I have all of them, still a great phone in 2019 ,Apple is doing a good job but I like the xs max too, I really love the products from apple my favorite phone is 8plus and Xs max I love them
Hi yes I had the choice of getting the iPhone 6s + or the iPhone 7 or 8+ back in January sales but I choose the 6s Plus with 128gb mainly coz is got a headphone jack and the aluminium metal construction & I think is a great choice & the battery lasts me all day it’s really good mine is the nice space grey iPhone anyway peace.
