Damn didn’t know Strauss was so good at composing piano pieces
An excellent, spirited rendition of this brilliant quartet!
maybe i should listen to more strauss
riverrun -- Nah...Why burn yourself out? Stick to Billy Joel.....
@@steveegallo3384 Am happy having seen your comment that bounded me to go for........... Really an unimaginable experience. Thanks a lot from all of my 💓 for sharing your experience. Regards.
3:08 wow that was a nice surprise!! ❤️
Many near quotes from Brahms' G Minor and C Minor Quartets. Yet many harmonic progressions only Strauss could have made. Great performance!
👏👏👏

bravo
Incredible playing!
Agreed!!!
This is indeed an astounding level of ensemble playing
Giovanile fin che si vuole, ma pieno di passione, come la sonata per violino.
Mi sembra di ascoltare qualsiasi compositore romantico/tardo romantico tranne Strauss....
Ecstatic mode, INDEED!!!!!
Nice structure
There's something very Brahmian about this quartet
very good comment!!..it's true!!
Really Beautiful - I agree with Riverrun, I've given Strauss a miss until now - That should likely change.
He was a marvelous composer - don’t miss out on Don Juan, Death & Transfiguration, Also Sprach Zarathustra, Panathenaenzug, Alpine Symphony, Four Last Songs, Der Rosenkavalier, etc…..
This is a very early piece of his that carries little resemblance to the bulk of his orchestral and operatic music. I personally love him best in his most outgoing style: Salome, Don Quixote - those are true masterpieces of invention. I'm a horn player so I may be bias but I find both of his horn concertos fantastic - he wrote them about 60 years apart so they are both quite unique
