I bought one of these at the start of December and love it use it to get to work which is about 3 miles from where I stay I don't drive and had a bike before but found I got to sweaty after riding the bike to work with this gadget my commute is so much easier plus the amount of times you are stopped in the street with ppl asking what it is is unbelievable would highly recommend anyone to get one
I am almost at the end of training at work to use these. Lots of fun but not easy to learn., I have the bruises and scars to prove it. To those that are saying it’s the lazy option give one a go. You actually have to use your muscles and engage your core to get moving.
Man this is sooooooo much fun. I had trouble getting on this thing when I first got it but now I can ride smoothly. But I still need practice turning. I've attached a GoPro to this and can't wait to take it to the beach this weekend.
SERIOUSLY - life moves happily forward - with or without our participation - just does!!! When the dust settles at the end of the day; 1. when folks need to walk they will just do it, no one is responsible for another choice of mobility. 2. there is always going be change and leading edge inventions what are the fear factors about that - NONE. 3. when others feel so guilty to the core about allowing fun in their life - turns them into a drama llama - ohhh wait there is a market for the wool :) TY - sharing U around - have a most excellent day!!!

We have a unit in the office and ride daily, we have never had any negative feedback, just people smiling and asking where to get one, epic bit of kit.
Once you get the hang of these, they're so fun! :D

For short distance, take a walk. For a longer one, ride a bike what I think is better. :) But this Mobbo Unicycle is a good gadget but make people more lazy. ^_^
Thats true, but in may case I live out of the city, So working means, Bus --> Metro --> Metro. It takes walking a lot and I cant take the bike in the stairs and its heavy and big. And a car would make me move less.

When i saw the price for it in my country before i see this video cause i wanted to see how fast it could go, i was like think is better to buy motorbike than airwheel cause if you could afford an airwheel you could just buy a motorbike & motorbike licence if people didn't have a bike licence with the same price as airwheel combine. Plus you could also tag someone along.

Ok so firstly, this is quite a cool idea but also fair amount of implications. It looks as though it could straighten out lowerback problems caused by over rotated hips. But considering the human knee is rubbish when it comes to pumping blood whilst standing, as the joint constricts the veins. That's why we will almost always have one leg slightly bent at a time when standing.
so cool. if they can get the price down another 2 hundred for the basic model i could see these being EVERYWHERE.
The idea is very good. Downside bye-bye human exercise etc etc. Though for having to get through a crowd quickly, awesome. The most important is imagine what that tech could do for handicapped or not very mobile people.

My Airwheel has a defect.
the platform nosedives more than it should in one direction.
On the other direction, its ok.
I tested with other machines of same model and there is no such problem.
Leaning agains the wall with power on, the airwheel is not perfectly straight but tilts by about 5 to 10 degrees and its very obvious.
Is this a defect?

I'll be testing my Airwheel with my Aeroxcraft 2 axis brushless gimbal fairly shortly. Well - as soon as my riding is up to scratch :)
But I can foresee problems already. All the shocks from anything but the very smoothest ground sends hundreds of little bumps up your legs and through your body. They may be dampened enough by the time they get to your arms, or whatever's holding the camera, and the body is a great vibration dampener, but with no suspension, we'll have our work cut out eliminating all those bumps in all those roads...

I've had this for over a year and still can't balance on it. I also bought Airboard and it's awesome but the wheels are too small that a certain bump can throw me off the board. But then again, I don't really ride it much so maybe I lack practice.
My Airwheel X5 if I ride it with the power button side on my Left foot side, I will feel that the front part of the foot platform will dive a bit downwards in the front direction.
Like this, the X5 feels more slippery, if you know what i mean. Doing slaloms becomes more slippery feeling.
If the power button is on my Right foot side, then there is no such problem.
Also, I feel these two directions give different ride feel.
Can someone tell me is this Airwheel X5 behaving abnormally?
lol These are pretty cool. I see a lot of people making jokes on it, but in my city I'd much rather use one of these instead of riding my bike if I had to go a longer distance. We have very few bike paths, and it's illegal to ride on the sidewalk, but I don't want to get killed by the horrible drivers here. What to do? So, instead of walking 30-40 minutes to my school or taking the bus full of crazy/smelly people, I could just use this!
If it was streetlegal where i live i'd buy one tomorrow.

Hello Edwin, they are restricted to 12mph. Personally I wouldn't want to go faster, but we are working on a unit that goes faster.
