      the role play makes me very uncomfortable and nervous lmao even if it was with my husband I would still be so nervous. I hate speaking in front of people so the thought of a panel interview makes me sweat lol thanks for the tips

    My goodness! This has to be the most helpful and insightful vid on interviewing tips in SW. The role play was 101% what I have been searching for. Going into my 2nd year in the MSW program in NYC and I cannot thank you enough for putting this vid together. You really listen to the needs of your audience :)

    I just interviewed for a school social work position and used your tips in the interview. You were absolutely right that having the answer to that first about yourself question would be a huge confidence booster. I did extremely well in the interview using your tips and have been offered the position! Thank you so much for your helpful videos, I will be watching a lot of your videos to help prepare for the upcoming school year!

    This video came in perfect timing. I have an interview next week for a job working with the homeless veteran population. It’s a very new field to me as I previously worked as a family case manager at an elementary school. All your videos have been helpful. I also added to your FB community page and I love all the insight. I was questioning whether I should even stay in social work and you helped me realize that it is a passion. Thank you! Any tips for the veteran population?

    I’m in my last year of my undergrad, I was feeling so lost because I switched my major so much and when I finally decided I wanted to go into social work, I felt like I wasted my whole undergrad because I’m graduating with a major in pre-law and a minor in sociology! But then I found your videos, it’s such a relief that I don’t need to have an undergrad degree in social behavior in order to get into the MSW program I want! Thank you, your videos are so helpful!

    Super thankful for this gem of a video! Found it originally in 2019 while scrambling to get ready for an interview at an elite setting. I got the job! Years later when I made a career change, I still interview based on the point and style of this video. In 2022, I interviewed for another job with an elite platform and GOT IT!!!! I’ve gotten so confident at interviewing with this script that it enabled me to confidently negotiate contracts for more salary.
    You’ve truly dispensed a gift with this video. So grateful for you!👏🏻

    I graduated with my bachelors & im thinking of going for my MSW degree at UT! My question is, if someone is struggling with mental illness, could they still be a good social worker or counselor? I’m a pretty emotional person but I want to help kids as a school social worker. Sometimes it’s hard to leave the bad at work but I know it will be a rewarding career.
    Thank you!

    • @SocialWorkScrapbook
      @SocialWorkScrapbook  Před 6 lety

      Yes! As long as they are working on themselves then I do not see a problem with them being able to help others!!
