  • A number of useful tips given by Ajs Kirk on how best to manage your freestall barn. It is vital that you have a manure-management plan, as well as comfortable cubicles of the correct size for your cows. Your freestall needs to be a pleasant temperature, the floors must not be slippery or too coarse and there must be plenty of water available for your cows! The more comfortable your cows are in their barn, the longer they will lie down and the more milk they will produce!
