    00:00 - Intro
    BAD:
    0:52 - Price
    Starts 60k
    As tested 77k
    8500 for rubicon X
    3300 for fabric skytop roof
    2000 for the winch
    600 for the paint
    1:25 - On road experience
The reason it’s on the con-side ofthe video, apart from everything I just said, is because the Bronco will match the Wrangler offroad while still being better in each of those categories i just mentioned…
    2:24 - No 360 camera
This is a weird one to me because even Toyota and their old school ways fit 30 cameras o the 4runner and Taco
2:53 - 4XE cant get the big tires
BUUUTTTT Jeep came out with the Xtreme Recon package a couple years ago
Which brings 35 in tires - aka the size everyone wants
And you CANT spec the big tires with the 4XE here
    3:24 - Towing in 4XE
This is another relative bummer because the 4XE gets down rated for its towing capacity to 3500 lbs
The v6 with the auto and Dana 44s will tow 5000 lbs
But since this 4XE is like 5200 lbs it has to lug around its own weight in addition to whatever you’re towing
    3:42 - Fuel economy
BUUTTTT if you were expecting Prius-type fuel economy you’ll be shocked
In hybrid mode it gets like 20-21 mpg
But the Bronco is doing that WITHOUT a hybrid
And then if you’re in e-SAVE mode your economy drops to 15-17 mpg depending on which way the wind is blowing
4:26 - No full digital cluster
This one makes me laugh just due to the reasoning I heard
The Wrangler doesn’t offer a full digital cluster
    While the Bronco does
    GOOD:
    4:55 - The offroad kit
The Wrangler itself is one of the most iconic offroaders in the game, but this one is kitted out with the $8500 Rubicon X package and that takes things up a notch
    Steel front bumper
    Skids underneath
    Rock rails
    Disconnecting front sway bars
    Front and rear locker
    The wheels and tires
Also gets full LEDs as std
Also gets adaptive cruise std on rubicon
    5:53 - Offroad time trials
9:24 - The offroad app stuff
You have your usual stuff like your offroad pages
But now you have things like
    Adventure guides
    GPS trail logs
They show up to Jeep functions, see everyone is running Gaia GPS
Trail recordings - record your trail run
Plus a dash accessory rail to mount GoPro
    10:23 - The look
They didn’t do a lot to the look for 2024 but it still looks badass
10:54 - The new big screen
The 12.3 in screen here is great
It’s running the latest uConnect 5
Its pretty responsive and the graphics are sharp
    Wireless ACP & AA
    OTA updates
    Not a bad system!
11:22 - The EV mode stuff
This is really the big benefit here for me and so many people and it’s the optin of having the 20ish miles of fully electric range
    12:36 - Interior & upgrades
You now get side curtain airbags standard on all trims, side from the Sport trim
They did make an effort to reduce NVH and quiet things down - which i guess worked but not in a transformative fashion…but after all it’s still a Wrangler
    13:21 - Trunk
In the 4XE you get about 28 cubic feet of space
Which is about 5 less than a non4XE, but still spacious enough
Honestly the only issue is when you fold the rear seats and you still have a huge hump where the trunk meets the back of the seats
So if you were planning to sleep and overland this thing you’ll need to level it out
    13:52 - Rear seats
And finally the rear seats are about the same, which is to say, not palatial, but appropriate
    14:25 - POV Drive
    2.0T
    375 hp
    470 lbft
    Same as V8
    0-60 in ~6 sec
    Not slow
Just about 20 miles of range
    Really inefficient thooo
Under 300 mile range with everything full
    Drive modes
    Really loud
    Steering is better
For such a great offroader it doent handle bumps well
    16:40 - Conclusion

If you don't like a Jeep don't make it look like it's bad because you're lying to yourself Always remember those that do not like the Jeep don't know anything about a Jeep why all the other companies copying off each other with boring junk overpriced vehicles a Jeep can do anything and have hundreds of different stuff and hundreds of different rides

if this 2024 is the same as my 2023 rubicon 4XE 20th anniversary... the only way to keep the forward camera on is to remove it from 4X4, with 4X4, the camera goes off at around 15MPH

from what the sales guy told me, the 4XE doesnt come with the 35 in tires because of fuel economy...bigger tires means heavier tires, and less fuel economy, also the Regular Rubicon X 2 doors comes with 33 in tires.

Nice review, also the reason 4xe is not for me:
    1. It's not a fuel efficient vehicle!!!! For Rubicon 4xe real world numbers are 40MPGe/15 MPG - basically means you can drive 40 miles on your first gallon of fuel (40 MPG), but after 70 miles it will be 23 MPG - just like the regular non-hybrid 2L Turbo . It gets really funny after a 100 miles (20 MPG) - hybrid becomes less efficient compared to non-hybrid, or even V6, and it goes straight downhill from there. If you really drive 40 miles a day - you will be saving 1 gallon of fuel (3-5) dollars per day ( assuming electricity is free), and these numbers drop in the winter.
    2. Not money efficient. 4xe is 7000$ more and saving 3$ a day will take 6 years to pay off the difference. If you drive more - forget about savings. And it's all assuming nothing else goes wrong with the drive train, and many records suggest that it will.
    3. Performance vs reliability for 4xe is not great. Its off-road capabilities are worse compared to non-hybrid - too heavy and smaller fuel tank compared to non-hybrid.
4xe was designed for short commutes in a heavy city traffic - conventional fuel efficiency with ESS =off drops to 12-15 MPG in a stalled traffic. It also great for daily driving with large tires - surprisingly will only lose few miles from all electric range.

We had a digital dash in a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited. Worse experience ever with the new Uconnect5. It was glitchy as a mofork. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Uconnect4 was sweet; too bad Ram/Jeep/Dodge gave it up.

should compare this to actual ICE jeep. it's not helpful to just review it as a stand alone vehicle. it's the ICE comparison that matters. I've driven these 2x and own a gladiator. IT's terrible. battery doesn't last more than a day or so in HYBRID mode. and when it's gas only it weighs 500lbs more than a rubicon ICE but only has that 2.0L 4 banger. absolute dog. taking it off road the regenertive breaking burns the brakes up. it just does. that's dangerous.

    • @robsolf
      @robsolf Před 7 měsíci +1

Dude, pretty much the opposite of everything you said is true. "Battery doesn't last more than a day or so"... what are you even talking about, here? The 4XE is NEVER "gas only". The electric motor is always available to assist, even at 0 battery. You always have nearly 500 lbs of torque at your disposal regardless of your charge level. And regenerative braking is LITERALLY THE OPPOSITE of what you said. It uses friction from the electric motor/generator to slow you down. It doesn't even use your braking system until you're about a third of the way down the pedal, so your brakes heat up LESS OFTEN off road than a standard ICE vehicle.

    • @aarongerman7857
      @aarongerman7857 Před 7 měsíci

@@robsolf I drove one for a week in Hawaii. Gas mileage was 15. No battery. Brakes were red hot coming down from volcano despite never touching them. Are you speaking from experience or books?

    • @robsolf
      @robsolf Před 7 měsíci

I own one. I have 20k on it and the pads looked like new as of 18k. Been up and down mountains many times; never an ounce of brake fade. Whatever you did, the brakes would be on fire if you did it in an ICE vehicle.

    • @aarongerman7857
      @aarongerman7857 Před 7 měsíci

@@robsolf fair enough. I found the 4xe to be an absolute piece of shit pile. Terrible power once battery is used up. Massive brake fade. And off road in 4 lo super loud like a vacuum cleaner. Only made for cafe standards to keep making the 392.

    • @robsolf
      @robsolf Před 7 měsíci

@@aarongerman7857 Makes no sense that you have no power when you hit 0%. The only change is that the script flips and the ICE provides main power while the electric motor/generator assists when needed. At any battery level, at any speed in any gear, the 4XE will walk a pentastar. But to each their own.
