I think the chord bar is awesome. 😎 I’ve been writing charts my whole life, so no big. There is also a feature where you can specify the exact chords you want in the players region data itself, using the Editor. The players don’t have to be using strictly identical chord progressions. It’s a fantastic tool for composition because you can try different harmonic structures quickly and accurately as fast as you can think of them. There’s also suggested chord progressions if you’re interested in the input as well. The bass note feature is perfect for creating bass line patterns. I have been able to get everything I want out of the keys and bass. I can’t say enough good things
Chromaglow is a great overhaul distortion tool for logic honestly. Like you said, it just has everything in one! I like to just go through some of the presets and play with the mix, sometimes using it parallel when driving very hard!
The chords are admittedly a chore but after a while trying cutting and pasting sections of chord track or session player regions it doesn’t seem too much of a hassle. And I love the upright bass settings with slap and growl in particular
Thanks for this Colin! Do you plan to use any of these session players with Broke Royals?
So good. Can't wait to try out the new features.
You make such great videos.Much appreciated and Thank you
This was great thanks!
Thank you so much for going through this. This has pretty much convinced me to buy Logic for the new drummer controls. No more “good enough”. I can now dial in exactly what I want. Looking forward to the videos diving deeper on the new Logic drummer.
Your videos are amazing. Just a noob question. Since most people listen to music on mobile phones which have mostly mono speakers, how to get our mix right for phones?
Hi, can you create a video on how to create drum tracks using midi 😊🙏
I'm still hesitating about making the move from Garageband to Logic pro. This actually gives me more reason to do so. I didn't know that Logic had that Session player function. I'm sad that they removed the different drummers from the drum program.
It seems that the reason that they removed the different “session players“ is because this selection system had a bit of an amateur vibe to the fact that the system was having us pick a drummer based on his/her appearance and name that were stereotyped to their corresponding style of music.
All of the same styles of “drummer“ are still in Logic Pro; however, they are now selected purely by style. All of the same content and playing styles should technically still be there; it is just been controlled by a new user interface.
👏👏👏🎸🥁🎻
I like your channel...I have a question...How can I use the bass session player with a Neural DSP Parallax sound?
