  • The Serbian government has signed a lease allowing a company owned by Jared Kushner to turn a former Yugoslav Army headquarters in Belgrade into commercial space. Kushner, Donald Trump's son-in-law, has released few details about the project, being built into a structure bombed by NATO in 1999. Kushner has also announced other projects in the Balkans, including a luxury resort in Albania.

But the Serbs apparently don't mind trampling on Marshal Tito's final resting place in Belgrade. (For those who don't know it: contemporary Serbia completely rewrites its history and considers the Yugoslav partisans led by Tito as enemies. Chetniks and other Nazi collaborators are the new heroes there; several of the worst WW2 criminals have been rehabilitated recently by Serbian courts.) Marshall Tito's resting place "Kuća cveća" (House of Flowers) is now colloquially known as "Kuća smeća" (House of Trash) and it is only a matter of time before Vučić's government succeeds in removing Tito's grave.

Yes, the largely pro western government which is giving away the Ministry building to the son of a former president of the country that bombed it, is thinking of moving Tito's Kuca Sveca. No, the move doesn't have popular support.
So its entirely consistent, the servile government does what is thinks the west or big capital wants at the expense of the people.
I suppose your script doesn't recognise this because its not a nationalistic enough explanation.
