  • Why I didnt buy PolarPro or Freewell ND filters for my Mavic Air 2 drone.
    I hope that all the research and info in this video and spread sheet plus my reasoning behind it all, helped you to decide which filters would be best for you to buy.
    Hensych - filters ND4/PL+ND8/PL+ND16/PL+ND32/PL:

    Please note I was not sent any filters by any company (unfortunately) so this is my impartial opinion and guess if money was no object, Id simply buy all the most expensive filters on the market and get the full range. BUT money is a factor and I was interested in seeing if the smaller company make was up to the job also. I think it was, but then again, I don't have the other makes to compare against.
    However I did have the Freewell polarising filters for my original MA1 and to be honest, the ND/PL 32 did have issues with uneven polarising effect and had clouding in the corners.

    I really learn a lot from your videos. Thanks for taking the time to make them. I live in South Florida where it's sunny almost every day so I've been researching filters and this video helped a lot.

    Very informative video. I decided to buy PolarPro filters for my new Mavic 3 Classic. I wanted the DJI filters first but not available yet. The PolarPro filter are the Shutter line up at 8, 16, 30 ND. That is right inline for what is needed. And going to save 30 dollars over the DJI filters. I still have my Mavic Air 2, i had bought two sets of 3 filter each. Only used 8 and 16ND the rest were just a waste of money. Live and learn, LOL. I may later buy a Polarizing filter because there are several popular lakes around my area that I may shoot photography at. I can't see the point of a polarizing filter for videos because I am constantly changing my angle to the sun all the time. That is not a problem with still photos.

    From Julie's hubby Paul in sunny Sydney - Now I get why I see a tanned Pommy :-) You are NOT living in super sunny UK!!! I bought the pgytech Variable ND Filter 2-5 stop for Mavic Air 2 and works like a charm.

      Lol, yep, been living in Spain for 15 years....i came for one weeks holiday and didn't go home.
      Agh Sydney, loved it there. Lived off Williams Street, Kings Cross back in 2000 when the Olympics was on. Lasted 14 months and out stayed my visa in the end, so got barred for 3 years. Would love to get back again one day.

    What's you're opinion on the PGYtech VND Filter 2-5stops? Seems very affordable compared to other brands

    • @RichardFiske0311
      @RichardFiske0311  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey Lucky38s, I think PolarPro are one of the best brands there is on the market, using the best materials too. The VND filters are great as they allow you to quickly adjust for the light conditions and the 2-5 stop VND will give an excellent range for your normal daily lighting conditions from cloudy, overcast to nice sunny days.
      There are other brands, cheaper, but if you have the money to buy the best, then go for it with PolarPro.
      I hope Ive helped you and if you do wish to buy them, it would be great if you bought through my Amazon Affiliates links in the description...you dont pay any extra but it could send. a small commission my way.

    didnt colour reproduction concern you? i.e. tinting? a lot of cheaper filters do this.. you get what you pay for

      @RichardFiske0311  Před 2 lety

      Hi Newie, true about that, I normally like to pay extra just to satisfy that thought, you get what you pay for But the filters seem ok, so I have no regrets.

      Hi Anthony, true, I think if you buy cheap, you will probably get inferior products. But also in this case, I didn't need to buy the most expensive. I chose on what I felt I needed.
