I have a similar evaporative cooler for my home from Hessaire. I've achieved temperatures in the mid 70's when it is 105 outside. Here in the central valley of California the relative humidity is only about 10%. That makes them work alot better. It consumes about 2 to 3 gallons of water per hour. Since it's outside i have it connected to a pressure regulated garden hose. Over the last couple of summers I've saved hundreds of$$ on my electric bill. I mount it on the back porch and blow the air through a screen door on a sliding glass door. On the other end I open the windows to allow for exhaust of the damp air. Works great!
In my younger days we used to call them swamp coolers. We only used them outside because they used to put too much humidity in the house. You would actually get drops on vertical surfaces. But they were great when used like you did outside.

Gavin, I believe you live in the Houston area, and I think I live very close to you. Now please don't take this the wrong way, because we love you and your videos. It looks like you have a beautiful home, so I recommend you don't use this in your house. I own an air conditioning business, and we call them swamp coolers. They work great in other parts of the country, but here In Houston we need to remove water from the air. If you use this in your house you'll end up sweating all night in bed while your trying to sleep, the inside of your a/c and duct work will soon grow bio-growth, mold. Soon after you will start seeing it on the air grills and ceilings.

We use these except 50 times larger at Rodeo when it’s 90 degrees in Texas. They work well when you stand in front of them 10 feet away.

It really depends on how hot it is, I usually refill it every 2 to 3 hours

I bought one today bc our AC went out. I live in Houston and it's HOT as hell!!! I froze the packs as directed and NOTHING. It works just like a fan...that's it. I'll be returning this ASAP!!! Don't waste your money/time.
