what he doesn't tell you is you have to start from the virtual drive and c: has to be unmounted. type "z:" to go to the virtual drive, then type "mount -u c" to UNMOUNT c: (so you're starting from scratch). now you should be able to mount c: to whatever directory you choose, but MAKE SURE IT EXISTS. So check to see that you have your file path correct. Hope this helps.
Thanks a million! I just mounted the DVD drive as the D drive and I just installed Library of the Future. Now I can install ALL my Windows softwares! PS. Windows 3.1 is free on Abandonware.
I'm running King's Quest VI on DOSbox on my Mac. I'm trying to set up the c directory to be able to save the game. It won't work. Do I have to set up a "c" drive on my computer to begin with? Every time I try the mount command, it says it doesn't exist. What am I missing?
Argh I've been trying to get the chip's challenge game to work on DOS and so far nothing. I extracted the files to the E drive like another DOS tutorial said to do but it just wants to burn them to disc. In Dos it said the chips game directory doesn't exist. What do we do? What's weird is that about a year ago I played the game WOLF on Dos with ease. I have no idea how I did it :/
What about on Android my file path is c/internal storage/ fallout But the space in between internal and storage is making it impossible for dosbox to find the internal storage folder
I am stuck at the mount command. You're missing a step and perhaps you could do a new video on how to create c: ascar. Of course we're both running linux here. So should I create the temp directory under my ~/ (home) folder or under the system /mnt ?
You can probably write a batch file to command the computer to automatically run the program upon when being opened up. That was how pretty much old computer viruses used to work.
Somebody help me here: I used the command "mount c c:\OLDGAMES" and a million other variants but it keeps saying that directory doesn't exist if thought in the next window I have the danm OLDGAMES folder open and can see that its in the right place!
