Christmas Market or Grand Market in Jamaica Featured in
Early Christmas morning, children, dressed in their best or new clothing, take their parents by the hand and accompany them to the spectacular Grand Market (often called Gran' Market) as it is considered the holiday's highlight.
Grand Market popularly referred to as “Gran’ Market” is one of the most anticipated events of the Christmas season. It is held in all major towns across Jamaica on Christmas Eve.
Gran’ Market is usually a colourful and energetic affair that provides the opportunity for shoppers to make last minute purchases or secure unique items that had not been available all year round.
Gran’ Market activities last all day on Christmas Eve, but by 6:00 p.m. the number of shoppers increases exponentially. To facilitate the multitude of shoppers, vending rules are relaxed to accommodate vendors along the sidewalks

Kingston is the capital of the island of Jamaica, lying on its southeast coast. In the city center, the Bob Marley Museum is housed in the reggae singer’s former home. Nearby, Devon House is a colonial-era mansion with period furnishings. Hope Botanical Gardens & Zoo showcases native flora and fauna. Northeast of the city, the Blue Mountains are a renowned coffee-growing region with trails and waterfalls.

@@JAMAICAWALKBY I suggested 3 organizations in my original post. Again, they were .....The Hospital For Special Surgery in NYC , the Jamaican Consulate in NYC, and the NY newspaper Caribbean Life. My suggestion is not that these are the only organizations , or even the best ones as there have to be dozens if not hundreds of organizations that can provide medical and or financial help. THe best approach would be to first - Enlist the assistance of one or two people who want to help who know what organizations to contact. Another place to start would be to simple research the non-profits that focus on improving the health of children.
If only jamaicans could live in harmony and unity is the best place

Hi,to my Jamaican brothers and sisters. To the family of the little girl who has no feet I hope you have exhausted all channels to find the best medical and financial help that may provide surgical and other assistance. If not and off the top of my head I would start with the Hospital For Special Surgery in NYC patient advocate or whatever office is charged with community assistance ( one of the leading orthopaedic hospitals in the US if not the World) and the Jamaican Consulate in NY. I would expect that if a surgical procedure would not help they can find financial assistance to help her and her family in other ways. Good luck and here's wishing a better 2023 for everyone.

I would fly in at 5am,den change and guh town wid mi fren and guh a Curry go get seasoning and guh wholesale. There was a comment fr a lady who spoke about her 90+ mom who worked at a liquor store at corner of Haywood and Princess St. You can see KPH back gate from there. I would go get my rum and tings and wrap dem up and check it in with my flight. Miss dem days. One Love.
