  • Danzig Corridor - 1st September 1939: At 04:44 on the first of Semptember 1939, the obsolete German battleship Schleswig-Holstein trained its guns on Polish Positions in Westerplatte. One minute later it fired the opening shots of what would become the bloodiest war in human history. Outnumbered, outgunned and only partially mobilized, the Polish defenders brace as the Wehrmacht is unleashed upon them.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    From 1939 to 1941, Germany stunned the world with the introduction of Blitzkrieg, a new mode of war focused on massed armored spearheads and close air support. Rapid shock and encirclement by mechanised armies replaced the grinding attrition of World War I trench warfare.In this DLC, you command Wehrmacht forces during this period, starting with the 1939 invasion of Poland, through the daring airborne assault on Crete in May 1941.

    Ah, time for the definitive UoC2 Blitzkrieg LP. Playing the historical campaign first and then the alternative history tracks is indeed the best way I think. Worked well with the base game. Looking forward to the next part and may the odds be ever in your favor. ;-)

    Thank you for these videos. I just bought the base version and I was having issues learning how supply works. Also, on a side note, I did not by the Blitzkriedg DLC but it seems that it is now part of the base game. I can still purchase it if I want. But I do confrim I do have this campaign on my base version of the game.

      I've never heard of it before, and searched up "set piece" attack. It's acutally a thing. The idea of a "set piece" offensive is that it's thoroughly planned and rehearsed. It's as if the pieces (of a chessboard?) are all set and will behave accordingly to your desire.

    • @MrJorgitogrande
      @MrJorgitogrande Před 3 lety +1

      @@NightPhoenixnp Yes. In what we in Europe call football (in US soccer) a set piece is a tactical situation that can be planned, prepared and trained for, like corners, throw ins, direct or indirect free kicks. Although I’ve always thought the name comes from “set”, that is fixed, repeatable “piece”, as a part of play. But it could be piece as in chess. In any case, I’m looking forward to seeing the new game mechanics I’ve been reading about like the Stuka bombing or the Maginot line forts

    @20:15 Why are you lucky? Wasn't the Nazi Airforce very strong in the early years of the war ?

    • @NightPhoenixnp
      @NightPhoenixnp  Před 3 lety +2

      Double entrenched enemies in a city have a high modifier against air units. You can see it by the number hovering above it when i used the air attack: -3, it ment i had a very low chance of doing anything at all really, let alone suppress 3.

    WARNING TO ALL NEW PLATERS - Don't Bother to watch
    This series of videos are so out of date as to be useless, but they are interesting to watch
    Sadly, Night Phoenix also has no idea how to make a video for Newbies, he never explains why he decides to make move A or move B. This series merely promotes himself.

    • @NightPhoenixnp
      @NightPhoenixnp  Před rokem +2

      Some people complain about explaining too much, others too little, i can't serve everyone. Also i love self promotion. The person who likes me most after all, is me! And one should (almost) always put ones own interests first. ;)

      @@NightPhoenixnp Fair enough, I apologise. I realise your vids are 2 years ago for a 4 year old game. I was simply Frustrated (having just bought it) not to find more modern videos, but as someone else said to me " a walkthrough of a 4 year old hex based wargame with comments is a virtual CZcams Suicide mission, monetarily speaking. I apologise again. I still think it is the best of the Genre

      So jealous. Hope there will be more Axis Campaigns, will be interesting to handle it if they have any sort of import function or not, The late 1941 to 1943 could be much meatier dlc depending on sales and then Rest of the War in another one.

      Your only talking about the base game.
