I did the same thing on accident. I look like Jim Carrey already and decided to wear a Hawaiian shirt to my first CC show because I wanted to stand out. Everyone kept grinning and asking why I had on the shirt like they were in on the joke, but I didn't catch on until after the show. The whole thing went right over my head.

That's basically the big appeal of Cannibal Corpse, the horror. Some people make horror movies, while they make horror music. They don't condone real world violence, but they don't want their songs to come off as a joke either. They want people to get scared/exhilarated like watching a slasher flick. It's not for everyone, but nice job hanging in there.

Guys, great reaction! Sorry for google translate, but ...
Just imagine it's 1992! At that time, Cannibal Corpse was a real discovery. Now there are already a million bands that have developed genres in different directions and the current listener is already slightly biased towards such things as records of 92nd year. After all, the music has grown technically and listening to such a low and underground vocals is not so interesting, but I think that I am listening to a composition from 1992, all this must be taken into account. Because you should listen to their new tracks with another, by the way, vocalist and you will feel the difference both musically and vocally. This composition, in my opinion, is one of the best of that time, especially in this genre. A man who smashed someone's skull with a hammer just like that and says like a maniac, a serial angry killer, and stuff like that. Music + vocal style like that = awesome atmosphere. So they recorded 4 albums, but then the group itself realized that it was necessary to move on, changed the vocalist for various reasons, but also because of the monotony and impossible development.

The Butcher the Weak version, it's the best sounding version despite the original being more raw. But damn they were like an unironic non-meme version of Infant Annihilator back in the day with their lyrics. I was heavily into horror, death metal, and the macabre, but something about Devourment's lyrics made me feel ill. So, naturally, it inspired me to learn gutturals. Bands like them were the reason I'd be wary about letting people look through my iPod. I'd always end up having to explain to some girl that Dying Fetus was just a metal band and then attempt to appear like a normal cool dude...LOL. I was the only one of my friends who listened to shit like that...willingly, that is.

In fact, the first Cannibal Corpse albums were on the Index in Germany until a few years ago, so they could not be sold to minors under 18, openly displayed in stores, or even advertised. So you could not buy the albums in Germany. And the songs from these albums were also not allowed to be played publicly at concerts, otherwise the band would have had to pay a heavy fine. However, the guys were clever and got around this by not announcing the songs, or announcing them with a wrong title - in any case, the authorities didn't notice it for many years.

Bro you saying you love horror, and it feels like a horror movie song, just reinforces the fact that theyre so good, in a interview corpsegrinder was talking abt the way people talk about their lyrics and judge off of just that, but really they just wanna make horror music, and you picked right up on that

Corpsegrinder is okay but this shit is the real deal. They would be nowhere without Chris putting out 4 solid LP's. Lyrics are so much more brutal during this era. George joined and theyre pretty much classic horror themed now and less edgy.

Idk why hammer smash face is so popular to reaction channels. Best song by them imo is pit of zombies that song slaps

Shredded Humans by Cannibal Corpse is easier to understand.
