When I saw Cannibal corpse live a guy was dressed as Ace Ventura, it was so funny!!!
dude was that at a show with Napalm Death and Immolation? cause same thing happened to me
When I saw Cannibal Corpse a lady flashed Corpsegrinder and he said, "Hey, I remember you from last time!"
@@craigharrelson2908 haha thats fucking crazy, cheers!
I saw one too. Summer Slaughter 2012- Clifton Park NY
I did the same thing on accident. I look like Jim Carrey already and decided to wear a Hawaiian shirt to my first CC show because I wanted to stand out. Everyone kept grinning and asking why I had on the shirt like they were in on the joke, but I didn't catch on until after the show. The whole thing went right over my head.
YES! The entire Tomb of the Mutilated album is brutal, vocally, lyrically and instrumentally. One of the best albums of all time! All of their music is fantastic but this one is pretty unique.
I totally agree...
tomb of the mutilated is my favorite Barnes album
...And it's banned in my country
THIS IS DEATH METAL!!!! ❤️❤️❤️
@@trompete5601 I'm mine too

them: _with lyrics_

Cannibal corpse was the band that made me start liking music because I live in a house of girls so you can imagine what I have been forced to listen to for the past 17 years
Damn it must be difficult. The fact that you started with Cannibal Corpse is great, because even a lot of metalheads don't like them or death metal in general, let alone ordinary people.
F for you man
That snippet from Ace Ventura was what actually got me into metal when I was 15 or 16 :)
Mine was the Gremlin in Gremlins too freaking out and turning into a spider during Angel of Death.
@@briangeorgebowes Nice. Mine was hearing Pantera while watching a Dbz movie.
Are you talking about the original scene or the one with Jim Carrey “singing” the song with the band?
Cannibal corpse rules. Need to expand out into other albums and songs.
disfigured .... cryptik stench ...ect you name it !
Crazy that this song was realeased nearly 30 years ago!
I play this on the jukebox at my nearby Pub and when I walk in people know shits about to go down!
One of the most brutal songs I have ever heard
I Cum Blood is more
I absolutely love the way he's just jamming and she's just straight up concerned 🤣🤣
The lyrics make me think of a Caveman or a medieval recluse that gets a taste for killing.
Try some later Cannibal corpse with George Fisher on vocals. Barnes is a little more deep and raw
Barnes is a lot deeper and guttural, cut to the bleeding and created to kill and he screams like a schoolgirl.
George vocals are more clear to understand without reading lyrics.
Barnes’ vocals are way better
@@danielfoley89 I really dig Barnes stuff but I'm still a Fisher man myself. To each his own I guess
@@jacobcarr5647 yeah
That's basically the big appeal of Cannibal Corpse, the horror. Some people make horror movies, while they make horror music. They don't condone real world violence, but they don't want their songs to come off as a joke either. They want people to get scared/exhilarated like watching a slasher flick. It's not for everyone, but nice job hanging in there.
Guys, great reaction! Sorry for google translate, but ...
Just imagine it's 1992! At that time, Cannibal Corpse was a real discovery. Now there are already a million bands that have developed genres in different directions and the current listener is already slightly biased towards such things as records of 92nd year. After all, the music has grown technically and listening to such a low and underground vocals is not so interesting, but I think that I am listening to a composition from 1992, all this must be taken into account. Because you should listen to their new tracks with another, by the way, vocalist and you will feel the difference both musically and vocally. This composition, in my opinion, is one of the best of that time, especially in this genre. A man who smashed someone's skull with a hammer just like that and says like a maniac, a serial angry killer, and stuff like that. Music + vocal style like that = awesome atmosphere. So they recorded 4 albums, but then the group itself realized that it was necessary to move on, changed the vocalist for various reasons, but also because of the monotony and impossible development.
exactly! most people thought metallica or slayer was the hardest stuff around. imagine hearing this when you thought raining blood was as hard as it gets. of course there was even harder music out back then, but not at this level of fame.
4:40 this is probably the tamest song on the album lyrically.
Wait… you’ve never heard Cannibal Corpse!?!? This is the most classic song ever but 17 albums… all incredible!
Welcome to Cannibal Corpse lol They are brutal as heck
vocals in death metal are an instrument over the brutale music its to make it chunkier and more heavy
Give Evisceration Plague or Kill Or Become a listen by them. Different vocalist
Nobody tell them about "Necropedophile". I don't think they could handle the brutality.
This is on tomb of the mutilated, but bleeding is the 2nd favourite album of mine with chris barnes.
BEYOND THE CEMETERY.....great cannibal corpse song
Thats a big fun to watch. So funny!!!
Brilliant song.
it's the 2001 of metal
@@felyxmillicent6538 true
First time I listened to Cannibal Corpse was at Ace Ventura too.
But I already loved the artwork of their albums
dude you guys are so ying and yang opposites attrract much love from nashville tn
Guysss u need to react to devourment - babykiller with lyrics plsss
THIS^^
Yes
The Butcher the Weak version, it's the best sounding version despite the original being more raw. But damn they were like an unironic non-meme version of Infant Annihilator back in the day with their lyrics. I was heavily into horror, death metal, and the macabre, but something about Devourment's lyrics made me feel ill. So, naturally, it inspired me to learn gutturals. Bands like them were the reason I'd be wary about letting people look through my iPod. I'd always end up having to explain to some girl that Dying Fetus was just a metal band and then attempt to appear like a normal cool dude...LOL. I was the only one of my friends who listened to shit like that...willingly, that is.
@@amphibeingmcshpongletron5026 i now ur pain mine friend, in brazil anyone likes this tipe of metal, i only now 2 or 3 person who likes, my dream is have a brutal death metal band but here is impossible :/
I've never read the lyrics for any of their songs but as the father of a toddler, I might just keep it a mystery for a while 😂
Cannibal Corpse are one of my favourite bands
You should make this your wedding song.
🤣
Every time I head this song reminds me of of ace ventura and backing my fellow Canadian 🇨🇦 Jim carrey
I feel this song could have used more alienation. You should check out another song of theirs called “F--ed with a Knife”? Great use of alliteration there.
I think this was the Chris Barnes (original singer) on vocals here.
Corpsegrinder does a wayyy more palatable version. Glad to see you finally heard them.
I am here because of Jim's major movie debut, one of my favorite scenes of all time.
How i discovered Cannibal corpse??? I found some tapes in the 1990s with a friend, burried in a plastic bag ine the woods during mushroome harvesting.....
Awesome song. They are my favorite death metal band Chris Barnes era of Cannibal Corpse is my favorite era of Cannibal Corpse.
And six feet under is my least favorite era of Chris Barnes
You really can’t deny the brilliant poetic like lyrics Barnes brought to the table. And I say that non-sarcastically. He had some writing skills.
I love chels......expressions !!
This is the most romantic song.. said by an Orc in the movie Bright. :D
Her facial expressions throughout the video were 10/10 tho😂
4:55 that laugh 😅
Absolutly classic song. I like your dynamic :)
fucking classic.
It’s a good thing she didn’t feel good reading these lyrics. Dude I would be scared if she didn’t feel that way! Good video, good song, enjoyed the aliteration to death!!
You definitely need to react to the best version of this song - Cannibal corpse - Hammer smashed face live 1997 (SBD audio)
Classic death metal was never particularly poetic or subtle. I believe it was George who did describe what they werr going for as exactly like Mat said, an auditory horror film.
Well all of Death's albums(not counting the first two) are really philosophical and meaningful
An auditory horror is pretty much what death metal was meant to be. All the way back in seven churches even.
The next step is I Cum Blood. Which is another fucking 10/10 song by cannibal corpse that you absolutely have to listen to back to back.
Same album and honestly amazing the 2 songs everyone recommends by Cannibal Corpse when Chris Barnes was their vocalist.
Now George Fisher aka Corpsegrinder is their vocalist.
With George Fisher aka Corpsegrinder i would do Frantic Disembowlment or Priest of Sodom.
Also Chels might like Priest of Sodom.
I find your comment that this reminds you of Midnight Meat Train absouloutly awesome. I threw in the movie one night and played this on repeat. Yup, it works! Crushing.....cranial....contents...🤘
You guys should do Rigor Mortis "Bodily Dismemberment". That is a fun one :)
Dude is adorable
That comment on alliteration was great.
In fact, the first Cannibal Corpse albums were on the Index in Germany until a few years ago, so they could not be sold to minors under 18, openly displayed in stores, or even advertised. So you could not buy the albums in Germany. And the songs from these albums were also not allowed to be played publicly at concerts, otherwise the band would have had to pay a heavy fine. However, the guys were clever and got around this by not announcing the songs, or announcing them with a wrong title - in any case, the authorities didn't notice it for many years.
The riff is epic
Vinnie Jones, absolutely love that movie!Great first choice for a song by Cannibal Corpse!
Check out Rose Funeral, you wont be disappointed!
CANNIBAL CORPSE ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Midnight Meat Train! I remember watching that on FearNet back in the day. Old school death metal was very influenced by horror. Never listened to too much CC but loved this song. They had some...uhh...humdingers for song titles and lyrics lol. Back in the 90s it was worse than Infant Annihilator is today to the desensitized masses. Good shit.
A lot of people don't realize the whole thing is a joke. The lyrics and album art are over the top on purpose. It's like the heavy metal version of a cheesy 80's horror flick. You're supposed to laugh and bang your head, not take it seriously. At least that's how I've always viewed CC.
Haha nice midnight meat train comparison 🤘🤘
Same band- Scourge of iron live wacken! GO! try not to bang to that masterpiece!
Good reaction.
I like that movie, and yes this is horror based music. Long live the CORPSE!
Evisceration plague would make for a good reaction video lol. Songs not half bad either. For comparison you should try something from the second vocalist Corpsegrinder, I find him a better vocalist.
Love the shirt bro!!! Rob Zombie Forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's one of my alltime favorite songs! I love Chris Barnes deep, raw growling.
Fun fact it's in the movie Ace Ventura!
They should do a reaction to their album covers
Man I was playing this music while I was playing doom great combination really. Magical
How is that guy a big fan of horror, clearly a metalhead and he never listened to Cannibal Corpse before?
You should really check out Priests of Sodom by them, it has a more modern sound to it and the instrumentals are brutal as s**t
MEat Hook Train was the movie I think!
If she hated the lyrical content of that song I definitely wouldn't show her anything by Guttural Secrete
Cannibal corpse 2022!!!!
cannibal corpse is my up most limit on death metal
Few get heavier than that. Try Kataklysm (old albums till 1995), it will expand your understanding of Death Metal.
@@silafuyang8675 corpse have lost edge few get heavier guttural slug comes to mind devourment within destruction
@@silafuyang8675 I've listened to kataklysm is ok listen to their 90s stuff it good disfiguring be goddess are good as well
YES ! classic Cannibal Corpse ! Chris Barnes OG forever ! love this era of CC. every part of the music just was beyond awesome! it all died after Chris Barnes was cut off. btw i love your shirt Mat !!
Scourge of Iron
Have a listen to mortician oo yea
only one cookie monster - barnes rules
Cannibal Corpse, themselves are big fans of horror movies. They said that's basically what these songs are about and not to be taken literately.
Five Nails Through the Neck or Deep as the Knife Will Go next!!! Cannibal Corpse are my favorite band along with Gojira and Meshuggah.
Now listen to it louder.
Yea hammer smash face is not the best song to start with. Evisceration Plague, Priests Of Sodom, Death Walking Terror, Make Them Suffer, better songs to begin with. This song is with Chris Barnes, these songs i suggested are with George Fisher.
HSF was always my favorite CC song. I just played it out so I typically don't think of it in that high regard, but it's always been my favorite by them because it was the first death metal song I ever heard. The main riff was just so slow, headbangy, and devastatingly effective. Make them suffer is clutch too I forgot about that one. I was always more into the tech death and thrash back in the day, but I wouldn't scoff at someone throwing on CC.
@@amphibeingmcshpongletron5026 yea HMF is there best i agree it's iconic in the death metal genre.
lol. classic song. listen to it as if you were watching a horror movie. It's not meant to be serious
I thought it's a tutorial.
@@strangestuff2240 you're now on a list 😂
I request scourge of iron by cannibal corpse it's my favorite from this band
Linganaaaa , Linganaaaa, Plidddrom, Plidddrom Linganaaaa, Ginnnnging, Linganaaaa, Linganaaaa
Give worm infested a try. Different singer on this track you can definitely understand him more the lyrics are a bit intense.
I love cannibal corpse. I have most of their music. I understand everything they say.
What do you expect cannible are ground breakers making horror movies thru music and those vocals were some of the first brutal death metal growls show some respect !!!!
I got a slipknot tat on my forearm looks just like yours! Lol
bloodbath live 2005 at wacken reaction when? :>
I saw cannibal WAY b4 ace ventura
Your body will shut down and you won't feel anything because of the adrenaline hit.
Ace Ventura brought back me here lol
In Ukraine actually some kids decided to turn this song into something real
Are they the ones that were killing homeless people on camera?
aah 3 guys 1 hammer
More lamb of God
🔥🔥🔥
I hope Pat comes back, a brilliant musician
Bro you saying you love horror, and it feels like a horror movie song, just reinforces the fact that theyre so good, in a interview corpsegrinder was talking abt the way people talk about their lyrics and judge off of just that, but really they just wanna make horror music, and you picked right up on that
Corpsegrinder is okay but this shit is the real deal. They would be nowhere without Chris putting out 4 solid LP's. Lyrics are so much more brutal during this era. George joined and theyre pretty much classic horror themed now and less edgy.
Yes, also no more lock for germany!
Nice
Idk why hammer smash face is so popular to reaction channels. Best song by them imo is pit of zombies that song slaps
Shredded Humans by Cannibal Corpse is easier to understand.
