On the day of a central bank rate announcement indices trade in a range. I drop to a 1min tf and use my favourite oscillator. Note the expansion in price after the rate announcement on this day.

Normally I don’t trade when it’s in consolidation like this morning. But I tried your method of waiting for the candlestick to close below the sma and grabbed a quick short with 20pts. I believe at 9am on the 5min chart. So thank you for sharing.
what stop do you keep while entering the trade?

this is overtrading, most professional traders trade only 1-2 trades a day at the most, and the very elite top 0.1% best of the best only trade 1-3 trades per week
