The Batman issue one is a reprint. Possibly 2nd print. The 1st issue has a blueish gray color.

Didn't DC use red to denote second prints during New 52?

Love Marvel Age and I loved the DC Currents flyers they gave out at shops as well.
Capullo’s art style is very unique and stylish. Issue 6-1st Full Court or Owls is a perfect example. I collect differently in that I pick up keys and covers that I like. I don’t have the patience to collect long runs like you, so kudos. I collect short runs -4, 6, 12 issues total.

I love bumping into Wizard issues in the wild... some of the issues can be found in the book section/magazine section of some of the Goodwill type shops (St Vinnies in Oregon) for a real decent prices for reader copies

I have the Wizard 1/2 Iron Man and I believe I had to do a mail in to receive it, nice adds to your collection
From what I’ve read, you’re right. The 1/2 issues were a mail in offer. Cool you have the Iron Man issue. I’m definitely going to keep hunting for more.
Vol One was theOrigen by Stan LEE The VoL 2 is by Dan Slott and is the law -focused one... also the one with Awesome Andy....!!

there are some really cool wizard 1/2 issues, they were fun to collect... I think the Daredevil was written by Kevin Smith, I could be wrong though
I double-checked. You are CORRECT!
Snyder and Capullo's run on Batman was an entry point in comic collecting as an adult. I did start around issue 12/13, and filled in the early issues that I missed in trade. At the time, the Court of Owls story line issues were at the time pricey. I've sinced filled in the missing individual issues. I do collect individual issues, but would prefer reading trade/omnis.
Nice you have the whole run. I agree about reading omnis. I’m really drawn to the fact that you get a whole story in one shot. I think if I put this run together it’ll be through the two omnibus editions.
@@northgardencomics I agree with your take on "getting the whole story." Early on as a collector, I would have been waiting month to month, but now "trade waiting" on some titles is just more fulfilling as a reader.

I definitely remember Wizard from back in the day! I knew they had a couple special issue comics, but had no idea there were so many.

yeah, can't say I'll hunt for more of those Celebrity issues but couldn't resist the 2 Stark Trek related issues.
I'm still looking for a comprehensive list of the Wizard 1/2 issues but seems like there more than 40.
@@northgardencomics I think I have a wizard issue of pitt or the Maxx? Not one I'm really into but neat to have. I could also be totally remembering wrong. Going to have to dig through and see for sure some day

I reallly enjoyed the Batman that you talked about to kickoff the video. I've just got it in omnibus format so its not quite as cool as the floppy, but man, you are right about the cover; it is an attention grabber.
Glad you enjoyed it! Man, I keep looking at the omnis for this Snyder/Capullo run and am really considering getting it in that format.
i really enjoyed Thorion, the JRJR art is interesting from what i gather they didn't use an inker jus pencils and a colorist. like i said i really enjoyed it but when i read it i knew little to nothing of Kirby's Fourth World/New Gods/Orion so i'm looking forward to giving it another read when i finish New Gods. Speaking of which, as a fellow Simonson fan maybe check out his Orion run(story & art) if you see them in the bargain bins. i haven't read it yet but the art looks great and i know New Gods is something Walt is passionate about. also the Tales of the New Gods back up stories has a crazy line up of talent.
Someone else mentioned I should look for the Simonson run on New Gods. I’ll keep an eye out!

Was peicing together Hc run thruogh Ollies but 3 & 6 are tpbs...... Couldn't locate those!! I had the full run, but sold it.... I know... DUH!!!
I’m leaning toward getting the omnis right now but there’s a couple sales coming up in my area. If I find a good run of issues cheap it might make me go the single issue route. We’ll see!
Keep noticing your Over street Collection. How back does your run go?
18 is my earliest. From 1988. I’ve got about half of them in all. I keep my eyes peeled when I’m out and about. I’d like to get the rest in time if I can find them cheap. It’s fun to look back at the market reports and the old values.
WIZARD also released TOYFARE, with Toy info/ price Guide. and a fumetti-style story using toys to tell stories...!!
