ignafiltro sanchez. you are absolutely right. here in nd we use 40ft to 80 ft equipment. the tracks have helped us. but tires still have there use. between cleaning cricks out to tiling fields and the rest of the drainage along with our own farming business. tracks have their place. their only downfall is turning and making ridges. especially when we do contracts with wetlands.
If their anything like the tracks on the challenger 800 series track tractors were getting around 4000 hrs of use out of the tracks or more and this is with road use from field to field. I wouldnt mind having some of these tracks on a 8690 massey
Are there any concerns on suspension or is there some dampening in these track systems? A set of radial tires do have some give aiding in the operators comfort in the field and on the road.
we have them where i work at and they are the best thing we get this year. we put them on our 9770 combines which we have three of them and it was neat the way they work. i work at flordoren farms at hightower ark.
True, but with the weight of today's machines, you can compact any soil--from clay to sand. Tracks are far superior to wheels; they allow for way better traction and seriously reduce compaction.
acualy more cm3 to ground decreases traction... doing hewy pulling like ploughing will make tracks to slip more... atleast it works like that on tyres.
Actually, it doesn't. Weight and area multiply, if you increase area, you grab more surface. If you increase weight you grab the soil deeper (the tire penetrates into deeper firm soil). If you increase both, you grab more area and grab soil deeper: For example if you triplicate your contract area, and triplicate your weight, is like having the traction of three tractors with the power of one.
Well this is a good idea but here in Sweden we go alot on the road and a top speed of 40kmh is guess is not possible with those or. And will there be alot more or wear to them if u use them alot on the road?
Okey but we would probebly not even use the 3point hitch we would mostly use them for a big slurry tanker at around 25000liters so theres probebly more weight on the barrel than the tractors axels.
Doesn't the track system lower the top speed of the machine? You've taken the large wheels off and basically replaced them with a smaller wheel but has a track. So the ratio is different. Doesn't that hurt fuel economy?
The drive hub has over drive gears in it. The ground speed is identical. Didn't you see the four wheel drive ones with rear only tracks? Both ends have to turn the same speed.

Kelly Amdahl aye we use tires by Kathryn ND screw the tracks they wreck our soil
Excellent

great thread

id like to see what the head lands on a new seeding field looks like with these tracks turning sharp on them

BRAVO POWER TO YOU SOUCY 😍😍😍👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👌👌
They'd probably would love hear about my idea of tracks on a combine .
Very good.
bonjour. j' aime cette video.
so basically a quadtrac?
What compacts less a 8360rt with tracks or 8360r with soucy tracks
How does track and tire compare in wear on asphalt? Is track cost-efficient on that part too?
Hi Team is there any dealer available in india for track wheel
You can pull more (wider) and you don't slip so you making progress all the time ;)
how does having tracks save trips over a field?
My guess would be not having to short fill trailers due to mud and traction problems.

Thats in case when u put to big tires... but big heavy machinery goes well with big tires and tracks.

Why is JD using ATI tracks on their "quadtrac" instead of Soucy? They look alot lighter than ATI's system.
Cita fantastico Tano you

They tear the soil up, so the tires don't matter. Unless they are doing no till.
So you can hold a speed of 40?

Whatt about turning corners
@Soucy Track can you put on a track for a John Deere 4640 tractor? Just the rear
Unfortunately, we have nothing compatible with it.
Yah it is good but how much is one track huh
