  • This is the Blackpool Tower Circus section from Series 17 Episode 20 of Antiques Road Trip. It's from the final episode of James Braxton and Arusha "Roo" Irvine's antique-hunting trip, which took them around the Fylde coast and to other parts of North West England.
In this clip, they are in Blackpool, and there is this short tangent item presented about the Circus. Featured in the clip with James is of course the Tower Circus' own Mr Boo (aka Tom "Bubu" Endresz), who takes him to the Circus arena. Mr Boo tells him about the origin of circuses, the Tower Circus' history; and - without spoiling the surprise at the end - shows "Bingo the clown" how to dress like a clown.
A noteable few things are mentioned by Mr Boo:
Firstly is the fact this was the year of "Circus250" - 2018 - where the 250th anniversary of the modern circus was celebrated with events in a handful of specifically-chosen UK towns (which perhaps unsurprisingly included Blackpool).
There is also mention of the Blackpool Museum project, which has since resulted in the creation of the Showtown museum - which as of writing should be opening in a few months time on the Promenade.
Also - Mr Boo's comment on Doodles' nationality is, to my knowledge, incorrect - and the Russian-englishman Tower Circus clown he is thinking of was Coco. Doodles was I believe Scottish, but please correct me if I am wrong.
