Damn that rolling pin in pretty! Love choosing cedar thats just a bit bigger than my project so i can leave some of that outside color mixed with the heartwood like that.

Yeah I agree. The live edge bowl and the rolling pin are from two different trees too. They’re both red cedar but the difference in grain is crazy

It's not just red cedar, it's everything my friend, that's not good for your lungs, except oxygen. Nice work though & nice pretty pieces of timber 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

why do all that with the bottle opener in place? easier & safer with it out.

If you screw in the bottle opener after you’re done shaping. 9/10 the wood will crack because you shaved down so much wood already. Screwing it in when there’s a lot of material doesn’t lead to the wood cracking
