    I don’t think athletes investing in everything is always about ego, though that probably plays into it. I think it’s mostly learning from the past where millionaire athletes have gone broke after retiring, so they invest into a variety of things as a safety net for their wealth.

      Ego plays a part but the other thing is that they just wanna make more money and that’s all it really is. They already have the funds to invest in anything, so why not make extra guaranteed cash? Set up their families for generations

    The production companies are so that they are in charge of their public branding more than egos. Brady has a podcast, he’s into crypto, and virtual sport autographing which his company controls. It’s so they earn money for themselves beyond their sport.

    The top revenue leaders are (in order): NFL, MLB, NBA, Premier League, NHL, Bundesliga and La Liga. NFL players should get paid more than NBA players and soccer players.

      NFL players should get payed more overall but they're never going to get payed as much as the NBA or Premier League or whatever because there's 53 players on a football team. That's a lot of checks to write.

      Those are 2 different lists so they're going to be different.
      One thing people forget is that Google or Forbes don't actually know how much these people are making. It's just a guesstimation.
      Forbes might have thought that Ronaldo made more money than McGregor this year. But Forbes is also the place that said Kylie Jenner was a billionaire when she wasn't. Both of these lists could be wrong. They don't really know

      @@williamjordan5554 I'm not sure what that pertains to other than paying more than marker value for an average starter to give appearances that the player is one of the best. All NFL teams have the salary cap, so paying one player can make it more difficult to build a team around the player. Dallas is only so valuable because of premium seating options and stadium ownership/revenue potential from concerts.

    They invest in certain ventures because they want to have sources of income when they aren’t able to play sports anymore. And many of the guys from the NBA and NFL hang out with rappers because most of them know each other it’s not about ego. You people over there have the wrong ideas about us for real.

    Am I the only one who thinks a celebrity or a professional athletes that got famous before they had a business are not “savvy business men” Davy business men and women to me are people who made their business made it successful and then kept growing. Somebody who had 10 million followers on Twitter isn’t savvy when they write a book people aren’t buying it because they want to read about what you did they are buying it because they are obsessed with you. You could put out a book that said hi if you were one of these 10 guys and it would be an American best seller…
