Thanks for the special mention of our country. Voltes V is like one of the giant mecha icons here in the Philippines. It crossed a couple of generation of kids watching this particular anime.
Mik Zarzuela You guys are pros when it comes to Voltes V. I wasnt raised with Voltes V here. I grew up with Voltron, Robotech (Macross) and Transformers but I do remember seeing Voltes on the Godaikin brochures
I know this vid was back in 2015 but this is one of my favourite reviews I have seen. Voltes V and Mazinger Z (mostly Voltes V) were the big reasons to why I started to collect some robots like some Gundam Models and some other mecha figures.
Our local tv network (GMA) here in the Philippines still shows Voltes 5 at around 8 in the morning haha😁 man brings back a lot of good childhood memories😁😁
God damn this is a masterpiece. The colors, the robot, the transformation everything is perfect the even have a plastic piece with the same color as in anime to cover the hole on volte's chest when the sword is out
hey man, just want to say great review. very kind and informative. i'm from the philippines and i will start collecting after seeing reviews such as yours. cheers and job well done..
Finally, a decent review of Voltes V (the best I have seen so far). I have been waiting for this bad boy's review for some time now. Thank you very very very very very much. Now, time for "V" formation ......... Let's... Volt..... IN!......
I had a complete set of this back in the Philippines in 1978. My father bought it in Hong Kong ,much to me and brothers delight and played with it endlessly. The set wasn't as detailed as this, but it was great for the time.
1:26 レッツ ボルト。イン! 超合金魂ボルテスVが「超合金魂40周年」 を記念した特別カラーで登場!! Lets volt*in! Soul of Chogokin´s Voltes V special colors entry for the commemoration of "40 anniversary Soul of Chogokin"!!
I remember renting this video from Blockbuster many years ago. In the US it was dubbed Voltus 5. Like Voltron, his sword was his ultimate weapon. When he slash his victims he would do it in the form of a V, kinda like Zorro leaving a Z on his opponent's.
RocketPunchArmy Voltron was big here too.. Lions and Vehicles.. Macross/ Robotech, and Transformers in the 80’s.. And most of the old school late 70’s stuff from Toei, etc.. But Voltes V is indeed the king here lol..
Volt 1 Crewzer. Volt 2 Bomber. Volt 3 Panzer. Volt 4 Frigate. Volt 5 Lander. Super Electro Magnetic Machine Voltes V is still considered an iconic mecha anime even today in the Philippines. Mark Gordon (who operates the Volt Bomber), and Jaime Robinson (who pilots the Volt Lander, and who is also a ninja) were my fave members of the team, but my fave characters overall in the series were Dr. Ned Armstrong, Dr. Richard Smith, & Dr. Hook. I see that this set includes the Mecha-Eagle. The mecha anime of the 1970s were huge in the Philippines back then. Hope you'll consider a comparison between Voltes V & Super Electro Magnetic Robot Combattler V, which preceded Voltes V as an anime in Japan. The Voltes Bazooka & Gatling (Voltes) Missiles were my fave weapons. As far as I know, the Volt Tank option was never seen in the anime.
thx a lot for the that vid so we can know whats inside the box n adviced,my dad is a great fan of Voltes V since he was a kid but he couldn't buy this when he saw box of it he cried so thank u.
I didn't know that the Mechanical Eagle is included in the box, that's a good bonus. As of date,I am looking for the die cast model which I saw sometime in the late '80s.
RocketPunchArmy Nah man, it in stock on Amazon, that's where I got mine, after I saw this awesome video! Thanks for the review, it sold my out whether to buy it or not!
Volt Tank mode was never used in the 40 episode anime. However in the Super Robot Wars video game, Volt Tank mode was used but when teamed up with Combattler V.
i'm gonna play the shit out of that thing! ...I'll buy three: one for playing, one for display and one for future investment! XD PS that "volt tank mode" is not canon by the way.....
my friend you just bring joy in to my eyes what a beautiful figure and yeah not in to this lines use to love Mazinger Z back in the day and I will buy me one if I get the cash but this guy is just awesome all the parts combine separated is just one amazing figure and on top of that die-cast chacaboom perfection just blow my mind. Great review and thanks for sharing man
VirussRuss Glad I can provide that type of joy. You guys know I love my robots. I am happy to be able to get them and to have an understanding wife who understand this hobby. Without my viewers support, I dont think I could continue this because I also have to balance in family and work. Its a hobby but reviews take more time than people think. A 15 minute video could be a day of prep, an hour of filming, 2 hours or more of editing and several hours of rendering. So its nice to know its appreciated.
That is great that your wife understand that man my wife sometimes it doe sand sometimes she gets upset but then she understand is my way to relax the stress that I have on my job and yeah doing a video takes time I wish i can do better reviews but right now i don't have much time to so I just do what I can, good thing is that you keep on doing this and you enjoy it as well and yeah those robots are awesome man hope i can get me a mazinger Z like I said before the one that you review is cool 30th anniversary but will see about that hope you keep on doing this man you do a great job at so you can count on my comments still nee to watch more videos of your bots. cheers
Credits to the design team for the V5 gx31v,its as real as it can get. The issue that i have with v5 is the over extended folded bulldozer wheels on the panzer.I hope u reconsider the design for upco ming v5s,to give it a more snug fit, without it looking hanging out like that.
Nice vid man. I'm wondering about the chrome plated magnet parts of the SOC in general. Do they rust-off the chrome layer of their magnets in time easily in time when not stored in an air-conditioned room? I was wondering since I saw another article about the chrome layer plates of the magnets from the Transformers diamond select bust then deteriorate and rusted flaking the chrome plate off once exposed to the air and dirt by time. Does that happen to SOC magnets too by time? Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my question if ever.
I remember watching this and "Mazinger Z" when I visited family in the Philippines as a kid. We had the original toy from 1980, it might be still hanging around.

Mik Zarzuela nag iipon na akoooooo hahahaha
That yellow pvc that you're referring to is the voltes whip..it;s his belt he drags it out when he uses the ultra magnetic top
I grew up with Voltron, Voltes V, and Daimos. And BOY were those really popular here in the Philippines.
Huo

This one is one of my childhood hero...I hope they make a movie of this!
Dad been wishing a voltes v for 32 years!
Filipinos love Voltes V! The anime's been influential to our childhoods.
This mecha was legendary here in my country back in the day (late 70's - early 80's). Sure there were others, but "V" was the one and only.
The price of this product has gone up a lot because of the current premium. It's one of the best products.
God damn this is a masterpiece. The colors, the robot, the transformation everything is perfect the even have a plastic piece with the same color as in anime to cover the hole on volte's chest when the sword is out
Grew up watching voltes five , had the big original toy . I like this version more grown up . Great video !

Raidel Lopez Loyola Hey thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!

kittymax93 Im glad you enjoyed it. As long as people are enjoying the videos, I will keep making them
Very minor note, but the little wings on the shoulders actually rotate around to sit on the backs of the arms when it's all combined.
Thanks for mentioning Philippines ....big fan of Voltes V!
Epic! Thanks for sharing
I have no idea Voltus has Volt Tank mode.. Soo Cool!
12:33 the "Voltes whip" the small red is the "ultra electro magnetic top". :-)

Saying Hi from the Philippines we love Voltes V!

Thanks for the super good review. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Maybe that's where Guillermo del Toro got the idea of the folding-like sword in Pacific Rim. I guess? Ehehehehe.
Really worth the money!
Felicitaciones en los 40 años de calicatura de votes de robot animación.

Rk Brillant ouch, yeah this robot is like a god over there! maybe even more popular than Voltron was here
RocketPunchArmy Voltron was big here too.. Lions and Vehicles.. Macross/ Robotech, and Transformers in the 80’s.. And most of the old school late 70’s stuff from Toei, etc.. But Voltes V is indeed the king here lol..

+RocketPunchArmy it's because of these review that I got myself a 40th anniversary Voltes V.
Voltus V is My Super Hero Mecha when I was a kid still the best of the best above all the giant Mecha.

Big fan from Italy here!
Man, I thought that Ideon was an epic figure, but Voltes V very impressive indeed.
Darren Bent Ive been working on an Ideon review forever, filmed the robot scenes and got lazy during accessories.
Nice!---hoping to get this one sometime--I would rather have the jumbo version---LOL---thanks for the close up look

The Popy? thats some serious money there
RocketPunchArmy I'm still CRAVING for it when it was shown in the "Uncle Bob's Lucky Seven Club" in a tv network in the Philippines.
Voltes V paved way to Voltron 🤖
ever since as a kid I wondered how do the UEM tops get stored and deployed without the cockpits getting in the way
Had the original when I was a kid. Much bigger. More shooting functions.
Thank you for the info. 😘
WOW as in WOW!
great job dude - he looks really excellent!
CoinOpTV Thanks, he is one of my favorites. Funny thing is this guy is sold out everywhere and the previous version had to be clearanced!

Kelan kaya maaayos yung Panzer? Dapat yung kagaya naman sa tv mismo.
