    hotel story idea: Le Palais Charroux, designed originally for Nicolas Charroux, a wealthy French businessman who had moved to the US in the 1950’s. Looking to settle in a remote area for his retirement, he constructed his home here on the end of this small peninsula for its beautiful nature, clear views of the surrounding water, and easy access to sailing. Having passed away a couple decades later, the family sold the property and it was converted into a hotel to better attract people to the area, marketing its beautiful scenery as a luxury hotel and dining experience with an adjacent maritime culture. This would further attract more wealthy people to the area that led to the adjacent development of other wealthy homes for people wanting to capitalize on the beautiful views of the water. Today, having gone through intense renovation, Le Palais Charroux offers guests a luxury stay alongside easy maritime travel and comforts in honor of its original owner.

      It would also work as an excuse to create another town nearby, but as a low income town for the workers of the hotel and the business

    The build looks great! The hotel reminds me a lot of a restaurant/wedding venue in Jersey City called Liberty House.
    If you’re looking for a story for the hotel, I could definitely imagine this place originally being a wedding venue that was re-purposed to have a restaurant on the first floor and a hotel on the upper levels. I think it would be fitting for the hotel to share the namesake of the body of water, island, or a bridge nearby. Maybe even naming the hotel “Oak House” would be fitting since it would nod to both the construction material used to build the hotel, as well as the local industry, which made the community viable.

    Just stumbled into your little corner of Cities Skylines youtube by mistake, and it's such a gem. It might seem an odd thing to pick up on but it is such a treat to listen to your commentary on everything from demographics and development to American vs European issues - I think that understanding is what really makes your builds make sense!

    Is there a gravel type texture you could put down for the hotel parking? There's just no way this luxury establishment would have people parking in muddy grass. Plus grass/dirt gets big ruts over time, that's why full time parking lots are either gravel or paved. Anyway, great work! I love your videos!

    Villa Serenity;
    There was a visionary entrepreneur named Alessandro who had a deep love for the sea and a passion for creating extraordinary experiences. He dreamed of a place where people could escape the bustling city life and immerse themselves in the serenity of the coastline. As the doors of Villa Serenity finally opened, the world discovered a haven of tranquility where every desire was fulfilled and every expectation surpassed. In the heart of this luxurious seaside oasis, guests find solace, inspiration, and a truly unforgettable sojourn.

    I don’t have a story for the hotel but I do have one for Jeremy…
    Jeremy delivers for Dominos and he made a delivery to the hotel one night. Una bella ragazza, Anna Lewis, from out of country, got the cinnamon twists. Oops, Anna forgot her wallet in the lounge area so she asked if there is any other way she could pay. Jeremy and Anna got into a heated and intense game of paddy cake. Finally, Anna won the game and got her free cinnamon twists. She fell in love with Jeremy and wanted to see him again so Jeremy decided he will come have lunch with her every day she’s in town. Unbeknownst to Anna, Jeremy has a wife and 8 bambini at home. Jeremy is a sfigato. Poor Anna 😢

    Jeremy Ward is actually a small town boy and as we all know he works as clerk in Domino's. One day a lovely girl, came to buy pizza there and Jeremy instantly was drawn to her. She also was interested in Jeremy. Turns out she's a tourist here from France. Her name's Anna Lewis. She didn't have long as she was going back in a few days. They decided have fun in what time they had. Jeremy took her for local sightseeing. They went to the Dakota Falls. As Jeremy was spending with her, he was falling in love with her. On the last day he decided to take her to a fancy cafe called "Café en Bordure", here he planned to share his feelings for her. Anna felt the same about him. She didn't know where they were going cause he blindfolded her. When they reached the cafe, Anna realised something. The cafe was her father's. And her father had men who informed him about everything Anna and Jeremy were upto. Her father, Mr. Lewis lets them enjoy the evening. But as the night comes, he takes Anna with her and Jeremy is left alone.
    There's a rumour in the town that after that day, Jeremy was never seen.
    Moral of the story - not everything is a happy ending😆
    Btw Jeremy did have extravagant choice.

    Name/Story idea for the hotel:
    "Vanderbuilt" Hotel
    Orriginally built as a summer home for the Vanderbuilt family, a very wealthy and "old money" family in America. The Vanderbuilt mansion was constructed at the turn of the 20th centruy for Charles Frederick Vanderbuilt the II. Once considered the richest family in America, the Vanderbuilt fortune took a turn for the worst with the outbreak of WWII. At this time, the descendants of Charles Frederick Vanderbuilt II began selling off some of the families' older properties to keep their company afloat. After changing ownership several times, and falling into disrepair, the property was finnaly sold to James Watson Webb III, a distant relative to Charles Frederick Vanderbuilt, who did a complete restoration of the property in 1958, to turn it into the beloved Vanderbuilt Hotel and restaurant. Now a fixture of the community, the Webb family fund runs the Vanderbuilt, as a hotel/restaurant and as a museum to the Vanderbuilt family.

    Name and history idea: [Based on a true story] The 'Maison Vielly' was built in 1894 by Sir Jean Mayne (of Belgian origins) as a birthday gift for his heiress daughter Bertha Antonine Mayné, a renowned singer known as 'Bella Vielly'. Unfortunately, Bertha never saw the structure as she encountered the tragic sinking of the Titanic (1912) during her voyage to America by ship. The 'Maison Vielly' was subsequently purchased by Phoebe Hearst, member of the well known Hearst family, in 1919 and whom still own the property to this day. The Villa is constructed on a spacious terraced plot, following Provençal architectural traditions, it comprises, on the ground floor, an expansive reception area with a fireplace that opens onto the garden and a huge terrace. Additionally, there is a fully equipped traditional enclosed kitchen, a laundry, and an office. Upstairs, you'll find a master suite with bathrooms, along with three bedrooms featuring fitted wardrobes, and two additional bathrooms, one of which includes a toilet. The attic has been converted into storage space. The ground floor encompasses an entrance and a wine cellar. The construction of a pier it has been completed beetween 1956 and 1957, to provide an ideal vantage point for enjoying the beauty of sunset illumination.

    I just came across your channel I really like your builds and love cities however I am on console and extremely limited I am thinking about going to pc version for cities skylines 2 in your opinion would it be worth setting up a pc and going that route instead of console? I would like to get into doing some replica cities based on real cities and with console I can't quite get em I can do some amazing fantasy cities that have similarities but really liked some of the replica and creative cities so should I go with pc version for cs2? Any advice would be appreciated 😊

      Update I went with the ps5 and have been working on cs remastered which has alot of really nice improvements. Got cs2 pre-ordered and from the looks of it I think they finally gave us console players the mods we have needed. I'm so happy to see the added area tiles 25 tiles is better than 9 lol and I'm sure cs2 will have more area to build on. I can't wait and I am happy with the upgrades switching to cs remastered so I'm sure I'll love cs2 console version
