@@SuperChuckRaney not really, sometimes i sac my queen for a winning position and great attack. Sometimes I also sac my queen for 2 bishop and 1 rook. To win in chess, you don't need to have the queen

She’s a genius but it’s a struggle to get to the top and being the smartest one in the room is a struggle especially if you have inner demons. There’s a price and issues in being a genius and in being the best….. the series portrayed this very well.
There’s also a price to pay in her obsession to win… there’s a higher price to pay especially if you’re a genius…. Greatness is extremely difficult.

She is the perfect example that a human being can be both best & worst but we always need someone to look after us otherwise we may self destruct.

I think its world championship. and because Russia has been world champion before, she plays in Russia (sort of like the champ is the host)

Nope its not the world championship. That tournament was just a Russian invitational. This was briefly mentioned in the book. So Borgov is still technically the world champion.

For people that don’t know the queens gambit only happens when both sides move the queens pawn two forwards, otherwise it is just the queens pawn opening and then the English if you play the queens bishop pawn two forwards
