We aren't underappreciated. Y'all can't just accept that this is our true worth. But of course, being the problem-laden nation that we are, we have a major problem when it comes to pride. And by that I mean we have too much of it. And it's all our fault.

In every way I agree with all you have said here. I tell my wife, who is Filipino, the same things all the time. Filipino's don't recognize how great Philippine society is. It's truly one of a kind. There is sadly a tremendous amount of poverty there, and that's mainly because of a corrupt government, which all Filipinos know about, but feel relatively powerless to do much about. I love the Philippines more each time I'm there, and all I think about when I'm not there is about going back. My wife wants to leave and live in Canada where' I'm from. No matter how much I try she just doesn't understand how amazing and beautiful her country and culture are.

I’m a Filipina married to an American, we live here in the USA for 5years now and I want to go back to the Philippines to live there with my husband to show and share to my husband how beautiful the Philippines and Filipino people and our culture is I want him to experience all of this but my husband is not 100% on board with my plan but I keep praying and hoping that someday he will change his mind and live in the Philippines. People here being proud may make it seem like this is such a great country, but there's corruption everywhere, the streets are littered with trash, and there are few jobs available. So much so that people are desperate enough to be hired as a gas tank filler at gas stations when in other countries people do that themselves. I understand being proud of your culture, but if your culture is what led to the nation's shitty circumstances in the first place (e.g. Filipinos tend to spend beyond their means, crab mentality, ningas kugon, etc.), it's really hard to be proud of it. If you take off the rose tinted lenses handed out by propagandists you'll truly shed a tear at how pathetic some places can seem.

You cannot just Start a business in the Ph because of the 60/40 restriction on Foreign Direct Investment on it's Constitution.. Please like the Facebook page “Correct Movement” an advocacy Group that push to remove anti FDI provision on it's Constitution.
