  • These flannel unpaper towels are a great eco friendly gift for anyone!
    This tutorial shows how to serge the edges to finish them, but you could easily use a zig zag stitch on a sewing machine as well. Just cut the fabric to the desired finished size and then stitch a zig zag around the entire exterior edge to finish it.
    The great thing about flannel is it sticks to itself, so you can roll them up and they’ll stay together just fine on your paper towel holder. Or just fold them up and toss them in a kitchen drawer! ❤️

    New to surging. What do you mean by melt the edges?

      I keep a lighter nearby and will carefully melt the ends of the thread tail and then pinch them together so that it fuses the separate threads together. This will stop your stitches from unraveling. There’s different methods to finish them off, but this is the quickest and most effective in my opinion.
