It wasn't Andrew not putting enough effort into the project that crippled it, it's the fact that the developers he hired stole most of his money to fund a shitty game they wanted to make instead of making Hiveswap. He got back tenth of the money he put in and had to postpone it after losing most of the money.

No Man's Sky got a lot of hate because of a lot of promised features are outright MISSING. If the game were to be only 20$, people may still forgive it for what it is. But, they made it 60$ priced, even though *they knew* most features they promised are missing. The game is fun i admit, for the first couple of hours at least. I must also admit i pirated the game, thank goodness i didn't spend a single cent on it. I will lose lots of my allowance if i do... I can't spend my money on things that are actually worth it.
