Terry was a very brilliant drummer, and in the top 10 of all time for me.
Wooow!!! No wonder he made the Alchemy cut!!! Brrrrrriiillliant drumming!!

Sempre amato Terry, he has been always one of my favorite drummers.
I love watching and listening to proper old fashioned rock drummers like Terry Williams, Bev Bevan etc They make folk tap their feet, clap and want to dance. Bill Bruford and co may be able to do time signatures most can't even comprehend but they don't move me the same.

Terry wasn’t fired.Dire straits as that line up disbanded in September 88 and they all went their own way👍
Just curious but was it terrys choice to walk away? They only replaced drums and rhythm guitar, everyone else stayed, I thought terry was superb and was a shame he didn’t do the on every street tour

Jeff porcaro and Manu Katche were used on the On every street album! Porcaro could have toured with them but wanted to stay at home and of course he died the following year!
