New York City, which is one of the most popular tourist cities on earth. It is dirty, packed full of homelessness, falling apart and tons of crime. Paris and London are the SAME! We are not paid one single cent for making these videos, we have all our receipts.
We should think twice about labelling the modern western world as something to look up to.

There are many reasons why China is misunderstood. First, some Western countries led by the United States do not like things that are different from them, especially political systems and religious beliefs. They lack tolerance and equality; second, China's rapid progress has made some The country feels very uncomfortable. They have lost their long-standing sense of superiority and pride as the center of the world, resulting in jealousy and even hatred. Thirdly, most of the major social software and media on the Internet are controlled by Americans. For a long time, they have been encouraging Content that vilifies China while limiting the dissemination of content that is beneficial to China. Therefore, I want to pay tribute to you for showing you the real China. You can also point out things you feel uncomfortable. As long as it is objective and fair, we can accept it with an open mind and continue to improve.

In China, Kilograms called "gong jin"(公斤) or "qian ke"(千克), but Chinese weight scaling is different, called "hua jin"(华斤, Chinese jin) or "shi jin"(市斤, Market jin), or you can simply named it "jin" (斤) in China, all the same.
1 "jin" is equivalent to 500 grams, means 1 Kilograms (gong jin) = 2 jin, so when someone told you ¥35 for 1 jin, means ¥70/Kg. it's easy to convert.
Love your channel, hope this helps. Have a nice trip.
(Some old Englishman may also like to call "jin" "catty" and "shi jin" "city catty", which also means half a Kg or 500 grams, but in order to avoid misunderstanding, I think it is better to call it "jin" for your future travel😂)

For foreign friends who do not know China, in China's crowded places, you should never donate money when you see a beggar, these are people who regard begging as a profession, and they have a better income than most ordinary Chinese. Maybe when they come home from work, they drive the sports cars they beg for and go back to their villas. Real beggars in China are given free assistance by the government in rescue stations, and those who are able to work receive free skills training to help them become self-reliant.

The price of fruit is 70 one kilogram, and "kilogram" {1000 grams} is the unified unit of measurement in China. However, there are many places where "jin" {500 grams} is commonly used, which can cause confusion for those who are not familiar with it. Therefore, before buying, it is important to ask clearly. The man in the video initially mentioned 35 as the price of 500 grams, and later mentioned 70 as the price of 1000 grams. Buy in small quantities and give it a try. The price of 70 yuan per kilogram is not expensive. If you buy in large supermarkets or farmers' markets, the price will be cheaper.

The brown sugar GuoKui sold by that woman is a traditional snack in Chengdu. In my memories of growing up, Chengdu has always been building new subways and buildings, while old houses and transportation are constantly changing. The former level was indeed poor environment, inconvenient transportation, and very backward, but now Chengdu has a total population of 20.94 million and a permanent population of 13.34 million. It is one of the top cities in Southwest China and also the most leisure city in China, suitable for elderly care. I'm glad you're here for the trip. Don't trust Western media reports. If you genuinely want to delve deep into exploring China and understanding this vast nation, I'd recommend spending a minimum of 31 to 40 months living and traveling here. Each province deserves at least a month, if not two or three, given their unique offerings. Truly, China is unlike any other major country in the world; every province boasts a population large enough, landscapes vastly different from one another, and cultural nuances so distinct that you won't find the kind of homogeneous, sparsely populated territories with minimal cultural variation as you might in countries like Canada, Australia, or Russia.
Moreover, China's public transportation system is incredibly efficient and affordable; in my opinion, it outmatches the combined systems of the rest of the world. Additionally, many Chinese people have learned at least some English, making it not too difficult to find fluent speakers who can serve as translators.
In summary, China is truly a fantastic country to visit! Especially now with their recent implementation of a two-week transit visa exemption, I encourage anyone with the chance to come and experience it for themselves!
