Watched this on the Garfield Goose show out of WGN Chicago channel 9. Loved this cartoon for some reason. Brings back the good memories of being a carefree child.
I used to watch this every afternoon after school when I was in the third grade, and I used to sing along with the theme. I haven't seen this cartoon since then, which was back in 1966.
I watched this on the Garfield Goose, show with Frasier Thomas, WGN Chicago! Came on after the Mickey Mouse Club! Lots of great family and kid friendly TV back in the day! It was fun to be a kid!
I remember seeing this in third grade (1966) on Sally Starr's Popeye Theater right here in Phiiladelpihia. It came on at 4 o'clock: right after I got home from school.
Do you remember Sally's show opening when she was riding her horse? It could also have been the show's closing sequence too. What a wonderful time to have been a youngster.
Come to think of it, The Funny Company was shown on Sally Starr's Popeye Theater on Channel 6, WFIL (now WPVI) TV in Philadelphia at 4 o'clock. I was in the third grade when I saw this, and I used to sing along with the theme song.
I actually had a shinking violette doll.Got her for Christmas. I played with her soooo much that she stopped talking! She spoke when you pulled the string....about five different comments! She was well loved! Watched the cartoon every Saturday morning with Alphabits ceral!
Sally Starr's Popeye Theater was on Channel 6, WFIL-TV (later WPVI-TV, and now 6 ABC). I used to sing the theme song along with the kids on the show. The sixties was just a great time to be a kid.
I remember this from the third grade (1964), but I looked it up in CZcams because the "Smile of a Child" copies currently airing have the intro edited. The scene where the kids walk past the guy holding the Stop signs seems to be edited out, and the scene near the end where all the kids are poking out the house is removed too. Can't understand why these two short parts are censored on "Smile of a Child"!?...
I remember this show rather vaguely, but didn't know what the heck kind of animal Terry was (I always thought he was a dragon!) The show is currently being seen on a Christian-themed children's network called "Smile of a Child" (where I live, it's on WTBY channel 54.5 in Poughkeepsie), along with such other Christian classic 'toons as "SuperBook," "Flying House," and "Davey and Goliath."
The mid 1960s, in my humble opinion, were the END of good childrfens animated programming, while even the stuff called educational of the ealrier era was not "Care Bear/Barney" claptrap.' BTW used to see this in 1963 and so on. BTW This show was written by the guy who produced Roger Ramjet. [Ken Snyder.]
" Does anyone remember a show called "Friends" or "Let's Be Friends", made in 1970 ?" [Jennifer Aniston] FRIENDS-like,that show did SO not happen! [/Jennifer Aniston] LOL Yeah, I remeber, not THAT Friends,m with Coutrney Cox,et al but the 1970 [producer Bob Behrens] series. It was in Coconut Grove, Florida in 1970 and some random kid, different each time,
I loved this cartoon when I was a kid, but we saw it translated to Spanish. Does anybody know any link to the versión of this cartoon in Latin American Spanish?

I am now 65 and loved this show when I was a child. However, the only character I vividly remember is Shrinking Violet.

A reply to your comment 14 years later! I did the same but in 1986 ❤️
Wow. I remember watching The Funny Company -- dubbed in Spanish -- as a kid in the Dominican Republic. Ah, memories.

Yes, and it was one of my favorites. We grew up south of Chicago past Joliet.

I forgot all about this. I remember a couple of the characters but not all of them.
I could never understand how the Indians fit into this equation, specifically the one who just made truck horn noises.
It's a cartoon aimed at kids, it's not supposed to make sense.
