what does the BWV 1034 mean?represent?
Bach-Werke-Verzeichnis. The number means just like a catalogue number, or in this case Bach's composition number. Try google next time if you don't know something.

It sounds like the pitch in this recording was changed to be about higher. It sounds off, especially when I try and play along with it even though I've turned my flute.
This is more than likely at a=392 or a=415 a contemporary pitch for Bach's time.
It’s baroque pitch. It’s closer to E flat minor
