Greatest.Aprilfools.Ever. Glad you still value a sense of humor Berklee. This is utterly fantastic.
So nice to say that my alma mater celebrates my birthday in such grand style. I am both humbled and honored.
He got me! Great idea! Happy April1st everyone!
nobody:
The flies in my house at 3 am:
gotta love a college with good sense of humor!
Is there any chance that you guys have an extra "Lalakazooza" poster that I can take off of your hands?
Brilliant! Stunning displays of virtuosity!
This is so much fun!
Thank you!! Gonna share with my high school students!!
LOL! Where I can sign up for a full course?! :)
Finally! I'm going to figure out how I can go back to Berklee for this. Hopefully there will be a PhD in Performance
This is great news...
Berklee has always been at the forefront of contemporary music education, and I'm gratified that the Curriculum Committee was able to "redline" the acceptance of this majors program, in this most seminal of instruments, and be the first of its kind...
...thereby leaving the programs (still in the planning stages) of New England, Juilliard, Eastman, Manhattan, Curtis, and most significantly, North Texas State, in the dust.
Well done!
Don't hold your breath for Curtis -- they don't even have a saxophone program. :(
rloomis3 Thanks for watching. Here is a link to the woodwinds that can be studied at Berklee, including saxophone www.berklee.edu/woodwinds
Hogwarts is punked by rloomis3 ?
Delicious.
OMG!! Finally, thank you Berklee!! :-D!!!
this is gold
I love it!
April 1st ! Great !
I love my alma mater so much!!!!
gorgeous
FINALLY!!!!!!
Very cool.....I'm so proud of my Alma Mater for finally giving the kazoo its rightful place. Where can I get tickets for Lalakazooza, please help!!!!!!!!!
Best thing ever.
YES YES YES YES so much yes
😂 cool, I love when the guy with the soundboard turn on the volume of the kazoos haha
fantastic opportunities with a wide range ...
well done!
Finally!!!
And people thought I was mad for choosing the tuba as my principal at Berklee.
The first thing i thought was "I hope this changes recording standards!" This is a very cool instrument
Greatest April Fool's gag ever...I was just about to pull my alumni funding...
Very funny y'all! And nice to see Ross from the art department.
The mirliton finally receives due respect! High time!
Wonderful!!
Joe Viola Scale, Chord and Rhythm studies (Kz. I, II, III) combing soon ?
Haaaa... good one! Hehe... love it!!!!
great! :)))))
I assume the new center for the study of the instrument will be in Kalamazoo.
I'd like to hear the Coltrane stuff but 'harder to find' is putting it lightly. I can't find any, even on torrents.
What about the Xaphoon or pocket sax?
A folk instrument if there ever was one!
This is hilarious!
I LOVE BERKLEE !!!! OMG Only Berklee would do that :)

Back in the 80's when I tried to get into Berklee as a Kazoo major, I was told that the closest thing they had to offer was saxophone...so I went that route. Any chance of getting a refund on all the tuition I paid as a saxophone major now that my true calling has finally been acknowledged as a principal instrument?
good one, berklee
I want to teach this online! What a hoot! Or would that be zoot?
#thanksrogerbrown
Funny, funny, funny! Great job!
Good one, Berklee;)
2:41 - @eugenefriessen I think you're holding it backwards....
It's about time! ha ha
There's some kazoo player pouting right now.
Damn! This proves I should have studied at Berklee instead of the NEC back in the day…
Please tell me you will have a scholarship program for this!!
i was really hoping it was going to be mayonnaise but this works too
JAZZ KAZOO ENSEMBLE.................... NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
damn, if I'd known that i would have auditioned on Kazoo and not drums!
Ground-breaking news, indeed.
3:07 I just died
Is it my imagination, or are many of the people in the video holding the kazoos with their mouths on the wrong end?
*P A R T N E R*
Oh this is hilarious!
Ha ha ha! This is brilliant
Harmony...........well you nee two for that :)
at 3:06 I totally lost my shit
lol, some of them were trying not to laugh
Massive April fool (y)
Kazool Roger. Kazool
April fool!
So happy to hear that this often ignored instrument is finally being taken seriously. Step aside, trombone players, oops.....
Actually, there's a LONG LONG history of reggae kazoo. It's a serious art form and any Jamaican musician will be insulted if you joke around about it.
Say whaaat???
I think Kenny G plays the kazoo, although it does look a lot like a soprano sax. Maybe you hire him as the first faculty kazoo instructor.
Hilarious.. LOL!!
AHAHAHAHAH. GOOD JOB GUYS. hahahahahhah. YEA BERKLEE HAS HUMOR OF COURSE
lmfao
hahahaha
Hahahahahaha
This is so dumb hahaha
Kazoo enthusiasts are not amused. They know that their day will come...someday....
