They often listen to Dream Theater as well, which gives them 2 "elitist" bands for them to claim that they're so much better than every other band and being a fan of those bands means you're a genius in all categories and superior to others.
5. The OGTs, who wear Vans 501s, dope Beastie tees and nipple rings. They often sip Coke while talking bullshit.

I actually got into Deftones recently thanks to a chick I met on Tinder this spring.
It makes sense that it's "sad-boi"; Chino was all about the Smiths and Depeche Mode and shit before he started playing in a metal band. The burnout part is also spot on; Deftones shows smell like Cypress Hill concerts. That said, I got into Deftones in like 2000 when I was in high school because it seemed to be a band most of the girls I was interested in (many of whom were burnouts now that I think about it!) were very. Deftones is still one of my favorite bands today.

Iâve been a habitual toker for a while, and hearing you say you donât smoke weed everyday if youâre happy, resonated with me. My Aunt would always ask if Iâm happy and I would always feel like I was, and hearing a stranger say what you did, that Iâm watching because of great content, it just got me thinking about something I didnât for the majority my waking life.
Some of my family tokes, and Iâve come to realize in my late 20s, early 30s, is that I canât play music, video games, do most things, as well when Iâm high. Great for creativity, but something said by some of the greats like Jordan Peele to Elon Musk, was it isnât productive for them. More so Jordan Peele sharing he smoked and was creative, but had to stop to make the movie, Us.

I really love Sabaton. I grew up watching The History Channel after school almost everyday watching Mail Call, Future Weapons and all sorts of shows about WW2. Still love learning about famous battles and wars throughout history. The human capacity for cruelty and violence amazes me mostly because I'll never understand it. Seeing the stark contrast of my fathers cruelty and my mothers willingness to forgive and show unconditional love towards him really opened my eyes at a young age.

One of my high school friends was at the time, the epitome of the Cannibal Corpse fan you were thinking of, so I immediately was wondering "which band is going to be my young adult self?" and then the very next thing was Death Grips... perfectly done. I would've put At the Drive-in way more in the angry category... this is the band where the singer would attack his fans with a mic stand or bleat at them for moshing at their shows. I was more of a huge Mars Volta fan and I can't figure out if I'd put them further into angry or sad than ATDI. All of their music is extremely angry and sad, but still probably a bit more angry?? I also think Electric Wizard is more on the angry side as compared to other stoner metal bands. I am just saying all this because I used to listen to this stuff when I was angry, and when sad usually more cold technical math-rock type stuff like Toe (a category woefully missed out on here). Anyways, great chart, please do more like this.

Let me be clear. I know this is all jokes but Iâm a huge Deftones fan and Iâm a high level engineer in aerospace making 150k a year. So I am not a burnout.. but to be fair I am a huge incel by choice. Iâd rather listen to my Deftones vinyl than get laid some nights by my wife đ and i love her with all my heart.

Fin,, I've watched your other Channel 4 years , I love the way you break down band and the history of a genre you bring a much different perspective compared to the ABC breakdown that other channels do.
